When I was in my 20's, never in hell would I have wanted children... Never ! My social life was to damn important ! I was the king of the world in the clubs and in parties ! Then in my 30's I got a serious girlfriend that I actually wanted to share my life with and not just for a one night stand. She ended up pregnant and she said she was keeping the baby. I was not prepared at all for this and almost regretted not getting a Vasectomy... But then when we had our daughter it was the best feeling ever ! Now at 43 I have 6 kids and I am done with children... So I am getting a Vasectomy. Do I regret having children not at all. I think that snipping in your 20's is not the thing to do. But if you are still happy that you did more power to you dude !

I got mine when I was 20 back in 2021 and I told my girlfriend about it and she was fine with it because we don't want kids and I don't regret it and I'm 21 right now

Have been following you on TikTok...so I came to see your reasons for Vasectomy. Especially now in light of...for Roe V. Wade and all that bullshit...it is a good choice if you are mostly sure of not wanting to procreate. The medical community is horrible with inflicting guilt and opinion on women and you have proved on men as well. My niece who is 36 married with 2 kids (each pregnancy progressively harder for her) asked when her youngest was born to have a tubal while she was still in hospital....they poo-pooed her and came up with the "you are young you might want another" and my personal favorite is what if something happened to one of your kids....like losing a damn goldfish....replace it God's sake...doctors just need to do better.

Dont take all that pushback from the doc personally. Its just the standard procedure that they have to follow. They have to grill young vasectomy seekers to protect themselves in-case one of them decided to sue later on for whatever reason.

Kudos to my male gynecologist who was very supportive of my decision to ask for a hysterectomy. History of abnormal paps made it a valid option. He said "as long as you're sure you don't want children, yes we can book it as soon as you want". And also dorked out with me about how cool the robotic surgery is lol

I had one at 22 ( single with no kids.) Now at 61 it was sooo worth it. I knew since my mid teens weren't for me. No adult kids to financially bail out and no grandkids to raise. You're NOT selfish, just responsible.

You went to a doctor to get a service done. Whether or not he was comfortable doing a common procedure is irrelevant. You paid for a service, if he didn’t want to do it then, yes, go to another doctor who isn’t going to judge you for what YOU want for YOUR body.

No matter how selfish it may seem, it is more selfish to have children and a vasectomy is much cheaper than paying $275,000 for the next 18 years.

This may sound corny, but as an older person, I think that it's rare to fall in love with someone and have them reciprocate that love, plus be compatible and have similar values with that person. I don't understand why people don't appreciate that anymore. Or do they cut off that feeling because they are afraid of it?

May I ask what's the male/female percentages on your OF? Didn't you say you're straight? I’m so very thankful for my OBGYN when I had my second baby at 22 he was like do you want more kids or no and I was like I never want to have another kid and he gave me the paper work and did it right when I got done having the baby
