How good a 9-inch band saw is at cutting?
I've been using my 9-inch band saw for over two years. I'd love to see how good a 9 inch band saw is at cutting, so, I did a test to see what the cutting limit was?

The cabinet is built for placing my wood lathe, and also can store tools, so it has 8 drawers for that. I hope you enjoy my video! 国内中文用户可在该链接观看我的优酷视频 图文详述:www.zuojiaju.com/thread-714294-1-1.html
My woodgears.ca tenon jig
Просмотров 2,5 тыс.7 лет назад
This tenoning jig I made last year( woodgears.ca/tenon/leng.html ). In this video I cut some tenons to show the operation of the jig. Simple to use they make easy work. This jig was made by following Matthias Wandel's plan:woodgears.ca/tenon/plans/index.html 国内中文用户可在该链接观看我的优酷视频 图文详述: www.zuojiaju.com/thread-681729-1-1.html

My Lego domino row building machine

The machine is based on Matthias Wandel's desgin, but made a little change
Well, I have a 14 in. Grizzly and an old all metal Delta..9in. I find that I use my 9r more then the bign. But yes of course biger is better for re-sawing. But you can get a whole lot of stuff done with a little one. They are worth having. I will say for small, a 12in. would fit the bill. Love my little 9" delta though its a keeper! ❤😂

The method of making angled tenons at 5:41 is something I will remember! 👍
Great job guy!
Solid
Great video I do not speak Chinese but I understood it, many thanks
Thank you that was a very informative video. Keep up the good work.
Amazing.
I’ll be buying my first bandsaw and was wanting to know if a 9in saw big enough to cut 4x4x36and 6x6x36 pieces of fence post.
The thing about noise and neighbours, was the same actually happened to me in real life.. Now i have a miter saw and table saw, and no one talks about my bandsaw noise anymore 🤣🤣
The noise of ripping with a band saw is much higher than cross-cutting. Especially when resawing wood, the noise is very sharp.
Finally someone that talks about how looks or quiet a woodcutting tool is and how it affects the neighbors. If you also talked about the dust management then it would have been beyond perfection.
what music are you listening 2? i like big and small griz products. need a lil bandsaw. this kind of helped.
Hi.Where did you get the jointer shaft?
What kind of jointer is that?
This video is hard to watch. However the Grizzly 9” benchtop bandsaw is one of the best for what it is intended for. If all your going to do is re-saw 2x4’s into thin boards by all means get a saw with more horse power like a floor model. This episode here is like trying to use a tack hammer to tear out a wall and rebuild bigger and better. Use the correct machine for the job. Don’t use a Volkswagen to hall heavy equipment.
well i found this video quite helpful since i am new to certain equipment i have acquired to help with small carving projects; thankfully tools such as my 9inch bandsaw are only needed very minimally, but i need to know what to realistically to expect and not to expect thats how i found this video ...you should practice a little humility and maybe you can develop a better attitude bozo.
My takeaway from the video is that if the saw can handle this task then it will be well suited to my less taxing efforts that I plan to use the saw for.
Great demonstration of what you can do with a small bandsaw. Hope all is well with you and yours.
Very helpful, thank you!

You did a very good job on this. I have the plans also but have to find the time to build them. Your planer sounds so quiet or is it just in the video? For my normal thicknesser, I need ear protection. Have a good time and thumbs up Tim
The thicknesser has a reduction mechanism for driving rollers. Even if it is driven by an induction motor, the thicknesser will be noisy. The structure of the jointer is very simple and it can be very quiet. However, the small gap between the tables and the blade creates a wind noise, which is the main noise source of the jointer.
Nice work ! Really feels good to see old wood turn in to something really nice. Btw, can you share your tool names? like your planer or lathe? i'm still searching for what to get :)
This is great. You could have increased the speed to get a longer domino.
I am quite impressed with the amount of work the small saw did in one go....
Omg !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😱😱😱
Beautiful work!
what is the brand name of this bandsaw
Its name is "Hisimen", in Chinese it is called "信民".
Tutorial PLS
I cringed at a few things (Long sleeves, Using a dado with no insert) but the table is nice and easy to build with limited equipment.
AMAZING! TUTORIAL VIDEO PLSS
Wow , That 's Amazing and cool
Very good video and thank you for sharing. The hand drawn animation is awesome.
Good work. This gives me encouragement for resawing on my little bandsaw!
Fantastic work
Thank you!

thanks for the,,,,, video,,,,,,clear explanation,,,,,, bravo
Nice explanations. I was wondering, how long did it approximately take you to build the tennon jig?
Great!
Beautiful job! Matthias’ plans are great, and your courage in tackling the project equally so!
Thank you for your words, which is a kind of encouragement to me!
Excellent!!! very nice work.
Nice build, very strong, very attractive. The tenoning jig was also very interesting. Don’t believe I have seen one like it.
Nice process and beautiful!
Thanks!
