I met Wade Boggs for the 11th time at the Pinstripe Pride event at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford, NJ. I had him sign the photo op I had taken with him and got him to sign his 1983 Topps rookie card for my friend James Gillem. #boggstrust #wadeboggs #halloffamesignings Check out some of my other recent videos: Graig Asks...What Are My Views On PSA vs SGC?: ruclips.net/video/MmffdjFo...

Thanks for sharing, John. My favorite is the Topps triple thread parallel red version.
Thanks John. You do a very good job of both explaining the cards & showing both front & back as well. My Favorite is the emerald green Wade Boggs card! Beautiful color! Keep your videos coming, highly informative!
Hello Jon
Wow - seriously "down the block" from me here - did y'all get to check out the Garden State Plaza as well? It is Mrs Bunkle's favorite mall in the area. We did the Am Dream a few times, and although it's huge, she was disappointed in it. Me...I just hang in the food court LOL! Very cool meeting Boggs - I had no idea there was an event going on, but as nuts as my weekends tend to be, I probably wouldn't have gotten to it 😕
Very cool John. You are blessed to have had the opportunity to meet him so many times. He seems genuine and willing to share
Having a relationship with your favorite player is just so cool.
Seems like a nice trip to my neck of the woods
Heck yes John, that is sweet! I think I'll have to get something signed by Wade at The National too!
Hi John. This is just awesome to see. So happy that you got to see him again and that you got James a special rookie card auto, he is going to love it. I will be wishing for the best for Wade. Thanks for sharing my friend, talk soon pal.
Wade Boggs, Pinstripe Pride? What about Fenway Pride??? Eleven times, wow. Did you get an auto each time? I would have been tempted to have him trace over his signatures on those faded cards. My wife died from cancer in July, and I had a procedure for kidney cancer myself, so I am thinking of Wade.
It's awesome when your heroes are really good people too!
Sorry to be corny--as much as I love how great Wade is every time, I've got to say, it's even better hearing about how supportive your wife is on your collecting. I'm glad you guys had such a fun weekend! Good work!
Enjoy following your Wade Boggs journey! Special collection John.
Congratulations, John! You are now the first person in history to say, "I treated my wife to a trip to New Jersey!" I kid! I'm glad Wade is doing better.
Thanks John Glad he's doing well,he looks great!
Thanks for sharing, John. Nice you were able to see Wade again. Good to hear he is in remission from his prostate cancer and will be in my thoughts and prayers that he has a good follow up visit on the 17th.
Great you got to meet Boggs again. Looks like a great experience
I’ve got many TTM autos from Wade he’s so good to his fans. I hope he has a full recovery.
Great to have your PC player be so fan friendly. Always a joy seeing your interactions. Thanks for sharing.
Another great one Jon
So glad you met Wade again, thank you for sharing your experience.
I personally prefer the PSA 8 numbers as that is more obtainable for casual collectors. It's also curious to me how the Rickey photo is so memorable, making it an iconic all-time card, but others like the Brett and Rose are not very interesting at all.
Are those Wade Boggs Game-used Jerseys, Bats and Cleats in the background? If so, would love to see a video on those! Switching topics, I disagree about PSA being their high-end product. Vintage card collectors are leaving PSA in droves. What they should do is make PSA their Modern (post -1980) TPG and SGC their Vintage (pre-1980) TPG. This would be beneficial for collectors, and PSA would still have 80% of the overall market.
I actually really like this set because the colors match the teams. It creates a more visually appealing aesthetic in my opinion.
PSA for the Money Investor/Seller and SCG is for the Collector? Just a Thought. Thanks.
This may be your best video John! I think that ‘62 Ernie Banks is great, “let’s buy two!”
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, John. Great analysis.
Good stuff. Sound analysis. I did that same simulation in grad school but had completely forgotten about it until your story.
great vid! nice insight!
PSA and SGC have turned into a criminal crime money making operation. They don't give a damn about you!
great thoughts, John. I was leaning towards being in line with what you think will happen with the "tiers" of product, but I'm kinda surprised we haven't really seen anything at all yet
1. 1965 2. 1976 3. 1968 4. 1979 5. 1967
Another great one 1️⃣ 🎉
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
Thank you for another great video. You are a wonderful resource. I just started sorting another auction and was able to find 6 of your top15, 3 of which are in the top 10. Thank you again.
Love this series. My favorite Brocks are 1- 63 2- 64 3- 65 4- 68 5- 70
My favorite Lou Brock cards 1)1976T, 2) 1974T, 3) 1972T, 4) 1962, 5) 1969T
nice list. my choices 5. 1965 4. 1977 3. Not the 1976 Bench but his 1975 is still nice. 2.1962 this isn't the best rookie but it still fits in on the list 1. of course this has to be number 1 1976 honerable mention 1974. 1973. this isn't the 1976 Bench but it's still a very nice card. 1968 1972.
Thanks Mark! I appreciate you participating!
We are in agreement on 1965 being Brock's best card. It is odd that one of history's premier base-stealers would have only one card out of 18 showing him running the bases, and he's not even running. How about some slides into second with the dirt flying? But no. Portraits and holding a bat, all but 1976. Topps was so boring with its photo selection at itmes. The problem with his '62 rookie is that the image quality is so poor. It looks like they did excessive dodging in the dark room to dry to bring some detail out of his poorly lit features. Topps knew how to do highlights in 1953 with the artwork. Look at Jackie and Satchell and others. Anyway, I vote for 1965 as my favorite but don't really care that much about the rest. I'll be more excited about Joe Morgan.
Thanks John. I agree with you about his rookie card. It doesn't look like a photo to me. More like a faded artist rendering of a photo. Same with the Gaylord Perry from the set. And I am also surprised he didn't have more action cards, especially since Topps started using them more in the early 70s.
Nice video John. Brock rankings 1-1976 2-1965 3-1977 4-1970 5-1979. Looking forward to Morgan, one of my favorites
Thanks for participating Todd!
I'm surprised Hank Aaron, 1958 Topps didn't make the top 5! I know, he has a lot of amazing cards, though I am going to have to respectfully agree to disagree, with the general consensus.
I'm with you there Andrew. I just love that solid green background!
John, I have an auction that just went live with 90 cards from the 1934 Lou Gehrig Goudey set. Please let me know if you have interest or have a recommendation for where I should advertise. Thank you.
I wish I was in a position to bid on some 34 Goudey cards. But for now my focus is post-war vintage. I think some vintage baseball card groups on Facebook allow you to promote auctions. But you'd need to check their specific rules.
Lou Brock cards I have distinct memories of collecting are the 1976 and 1977 Topps for different reasons. 5. 1965 Topps Beautiful card great pic 4. 1969 Topps Cages and Stadium in background just bring you right into the park 3. 1977 Topps (I was 11 when this card came out/ New to Baseball new to cards) Remember being mesmorized/confused by why a player would be swinging 2 bats at once LOL 2. 1967 Topps The Topps design for 1967 combined with the stadium in the background make this card so nostalgic and awesome! 1. 1976 Topps. I've always referred to this as The Green card. This was in the very first pack of baseball cards that I ever opened! Yes I remember because of the AllStar Logo and the distinct green background my friends/neighbor kids tried to trade me for it. I still have it. Had no idea who Lou Brock was then. HM 1967 with Curt Flood
Thanks for participating Gary and I appreciate the explanations for your selections plus the honorable mention!
Hey John- here goes: 1. 1968, 2. 1967, 3. 1971, 4. 1973, 5. 1976. HR- Card Clubbers from 1967 shares with Curt Flood.
Thanks for your selections and the honorable mention!
Great selection, especially the 77’ Fisk.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
My favorites as follows: 1) 1976 - love the action shot! 2) 1968 3) 1965 4) 1977 5) 1970 - although not the best picture of Lou, I like the batting cage view along with him. Thanks, great episode!
Thanks for participating Mike!
He is my favorite player and have a complete run with a complete signed set as well. I was fortunate to spend an entire day with him. Here is my ranking: 1) 1967 2) 1963 3) 1966 4) 1976 5) 1962
That is awesome! Thanks for participating!
Thanks for sharing, John. My top five Brock cards: 5. 76 Topps 4. 73 Topps 3. 68 Topps 2. 65 Topps 1. 64 Topps.
Thanks for your selections Kevin!
Brock favorites: 1.1963, 2.1968, 3.1969, 4.1967, 5.1976
Thanks for participating!
John, glad I came across this video so quickly. I've been thinking of players like Brock. I'm getting more interested in players that had an importance to to certain franchise versus overall popularity. He was named "The Franchise" for a reason. 1)1977 Topps 2)1965 Topps 3)1962 Topps 4)1967 Topps 5)1976 Topps
Thanks for participating Sammy! Hope all is well.
