Ayo Fish, if I have a PC that is more than powerful enough for let's say, gaming, and I use OBS, I will not have to set up OBS on my monitor and have the game running on my pc will I? I'm only asking because I have a very short hdmi2 cable, and a hdmi adapter I set my display settings on my pc to "Extend" and I had OBS on the monitor, and the other window on my pc. I recorded and it came out ugly, lol
Yes, if you have to monitors you can tell OBS which one to pick up

Omg, that was awesome. I'm also surprised that the sprint down the side of the skyscraper looked manageable. I kinda wonder how other Sonics handle the physics. Namely Adventure and all of the CD era Sonics. Either way, I honestly don't care which level this version of Classic Sonic's in so long as I get to picture what Sonic would be like if he stayed the same in a similar way Mario did(more or less anyway) and this mod is like a little window into that alternate reality. Before I was getting my fix with Showin's Classic Sonic in the Generations game and.... Forces... to a lesser degree and before I knew about this it was that Sonic 3 Sonic mod someone made who I can't remember the name of, but that was pretty amazing too. Lastly, sweet run buddy. I'm still lookin for a sweet spot with the control settings, but I'm thrilled there seems to be almost infinite content for SRB2. OOOO!! What about doing a run through one of the contest entries? Most of those levels are *awesome* ! Whichever one you'd have the most fun playing through to be honest. I feel that'd have the highest chance for the best showboating. lol idk It's late and this got me feeling nostalgic and ranty. Ok, I'm done. 😅
Sure! I can test other versions of Sonic, though I can confirm already Adventure is not going to due so well thanks to his boost mode. Others I am yet to try, but if they mess with the jump in any way that could be a problem
As a side note: yes, Sonic was very manageable during the run down the building due to his controls getting tighter the faster he runs. This makes it so at higher speeds he can still move left and right without going too far
@@ThemFish75 I keep forgetting they added a Sonic Rush mode for Adventure Sonic. I was mostly referring to how he plays Adventure style, but perhaps there's enough about him that's customized where it wouldn't pan out very well. 😆I wonder what kind of glitchy mayhem ensues when you try to boost down a slope with the physics. Speaking of heavily customized Sonics, Pointy Sonic would be pretty amazing to watch some one speedrun with these kinda physics. 😄 I'm such a sucker for Sonic having footstep sounds when he runs. I swear he could sell shoes man. Any pair of kicks that can survive that kind of heat and impact abuse would be so durable you could pass it down generations.😆

@@ThemFish75 Well off the top of my head, either Speed Highway, Neo Palmtree Zone, and/or Nu Angel Island(If there's a way it can be done in reverse that'd be nuts) or maybe Angel Island Tour? idk There's such a tear jerkingly beautiful catalogue of community levels available for this game, it's so hard to choose. Push comes to shove, if you know of a downslope heavy level that'd be a great showcase for this, I'd be hyped to see that too. It's about time they put some respect on OG Sonic's physics in 3D. Boost is amazing, but it has a speed limit. The only limit to these physics are the level design! 🤩

These models and those physics must pair divinely! Only nitpick would be that the bottom of Sonic's shoes are black, when the bottom of Sonic's shoes in Watanabe's art is a darker red, but it's still bodacious nonetheless B)

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if all of us wanting a HD 3D Classic game will just make a mod designed to be a perfect transition of the Classic gameplay to 3D in Gens (including Insta Shield), and we all start making entire custom levels designed around that mod.
SRB2 basically is exactly what you are describing
@@ThemFish75 I said "HD" (I know I said something like "all 3D Sonic games should be low poly because it makes it easier to make huge levels", but SRB2 levels are slightly boxed in, so that type of design, with the mandatory addition of loops and half pipes, would be easier to make in HD) also, since I'm more into the Sonic series for the art and characters, my opinions on games are more focused on art style rather than gameplay, and I (personally) am not the biggest fan of SRB2's art direction. I'm more into Sonic CD's and Knuckles Chaotix's art styles because of how surreal they are. In my opinion, surrealism is integral to original SegaSonic-... and I'm rambling on, am I?
@@Osy_za_OC TECHNICALLY in order for something to be “HD” it must pass the minimum requirement of 1280 x 720 pixels. Not only does SRB2 meet these requirements, but it actually far surpasses it
@@Osy_za_OC so, if we were to follow the definition of High Definition (HD) graphics, SRB2 is an HD game. The polygonal count of objects has nothing to do with if a game is HD or not
@@Osy_za_OCto add onto my point further; Sonic Robo Blast 2 containing no loops/spirals is not a HD problem, rather a problem with how the modified DOOM Legacy engine functions. This is also the same reason as to why most levels feel boxed in
