They gave pretty good fight and they didn't have special weapons, real numbers of heavy-weapons, kasrkins, ogryns, psykers, ratlings(hobbit snipers), normal commissars with power weapons and plasma guns, longlas and TONS of vehicles.

You know, I really wish there were models of them like what we see in the cutscene to actively help out so they can be used here. As it stands this feels more like skins added to the gunner rather than it’s own npc.

Hardest mission on veteran mode because of gernade spam , and spread out checkpoints.

The guardsmen actually fare very well when you consider the complete lack of squad, or special weapons, and a reluctance to use hand grenades to break up concentrations of gaunts. The addition of grenade launchers, automatic weapons and anti armour weapons would greatly enhance staying power. They have trouble with warriors and carnifexes, krak grenades, and anti tank missiles can go some way to remedy that.

6:48 even one warrior is enough to wipe out an entire platoon and there is at least one of them for every 20 hormogaunts. How can humans even hope to win against such a threat?

That was some great work. Does show some tweaking needed in animation. Does make you wish Ogryns and Kasrking were there too.

A multiplayer option would be to have the marines and Chaos Marines controlled by the players, and as you kill enemy soldiers you receive points to summon Cadians or demons.

i think if they threw nades more and shoot faster the close enemys get theyd be better maybe even the ones with bayonets can 50/50 save themselfs but overall ive seen worse

This is an accurate portrayal of how the Covenant War played out. UNSC forces fought hard against the covenant and repelled, but in the end, they would lose against the Covenant and their planets glassed, before the events of Halo CE.

something to note about the UNSC NPCs is that their damage is SEVERELY reduced. I think they do only 40% of the player damage.

10/10 would much rather play a game as gaurdsman in a tacitcal type envrioment then shitty spez marines. Something a bit different from Darktide.
