When flying into SLC international airport, it was customary to call approach control and make a position report. Something like this Salt Lake approach control then your flight number, a/c I'd, etc. then say abeam murray stacks landing 16 left or right.

Every boy loves big trucks and shovels
So true, Thanks!
I bet it was ruff riding in one of those but it probably be fun to drive a few times 😄
Thanks Dwight, fun but weird to drive.
Very cool! Those are some BIG trucks. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, and so much bigger now.
The iron mine my dad worked at in Minnesota bought into these R105's in a big way, mainly because they couldn't get Lectra Hauls or Wabcos delivered in a reasonable time and they needed 100 ton trucks to replace their 20 year old 34 ton Euclids. They weren't very good trucks and only lasted about 3 years. They even had a turbine powered version as a test unit.
Thank you, what a great comment, I didn't like them much.
Great spot to see trains
Thanks, I wish I could see them from that very spot.
Very nice. Thank you.
Thank you for supporting my channel.
