- ScratchPads are alive!! For those addicted to WM's. Having scratchpads is an important feature. If you don't know what it is, well basically it's a window in this case a terminal but it can be any application you want, which will remain active and hidden so you can review it whenever you want. It is commonly used as a notepad. You can show/hide it with "super alt o"

@@natheingles ey gracias, me alegra que te gusten los temas. Jajajaja y si, tal cual lo dices así es, me consideraría fan ocasional del anime, solo he visto los más famosos o de moda, como demon slayer, attack on titans etc.. pero fuera de esos no me considero que sepa de anime ni veo anime en mi día a día. Los wallpapers si me gustan los pongo, solo por eso.

@@user-er2pb5ro6f Possibly the installation of eww failed in my installer, it is common for the AUR package to fail, yesterday I already modified the way in which eww is installed, you have 2 options, the first and the simplest, yesterday I precompiled the eww binary, and modify the way it is installed, you just have to download it and move it to /usr/bin. Follow these steps: Open a terminal and paste this curl -L github.com/gh0stzk/pkgs/raw/main/eww -o eww then do chmod +x eww finally paste this to move it to PATH: sudo install -Dm755 eww /usr/bin/eww That's it. The other way is compiling eww by yourself and moving it to /usr/bin. Follow these steps. github.com/gh0stzk/dotfiles/wiki/Installing-EWW

@@marcelotouraoartedesigner2376 yes thats normal because when you restart, you dont initialize the daemon. You need to add at the bottom of the bspwmrc the daemon, just write xfce-power-manager & Save it and restart bspwm, super + alt + r Thats it.

@@LEBR27 Hi Bro, one little question about Eww. Is it possible to dynamically change color of a text\icon in eww ? I tried : change classes, tried pango, tried ansi converting, checked almost all famous dotfiles but ffs i cant find but feel it should be possible but cant find a right way.
@@user-er2pb5ro6f It is possible, it is something like what I do in my widgets, as long as you have the daemon started and running in the background, any changes you make to the css will be reflected instantly. In my case, to change the colors every time I change the theme, I do a sed to the file that contains the color variables and that's how I get them to change.

Disculpa a la hora de agregar mas escritorios hay unos numeritos como superindeces pero ya me di cuenta que no los son, es algun tipo de letra? agregue mas escritorios pero no les pude poner ese numerio jeje por cierto muy buenos dotfiles :)
@@emersonrivera5299 hola, el número de escritorios lo defines de manera global y general desde bspwmrc. Lo que dices, si entiendo bien quieres agregar más desktops, igual desde bspwmrc los agregas. Ya el como se muestren en los diferentes temas lo tienes que editar desde el archivo modules.ini qué esta dentro de cada tema. El modulo es bspwm dentro de modules.ini, fijate en cada tema como se está haciendo ya qué hay unos que solo muestran 3 iconos, focused, empty y occuppied. Hay otros donde a cada desktop le doy un icono. Pero si desde modules.ini lo puedes editar.

@@emersonrivera5299 si seguramente eww fallo a ser instalado en el proceso de instalación. Haz paru -S eww-git y mira si se instala correctamente o si arroja algún error.

Se ve genial, que opinas de hyprland? Que consumirá menos recursos ? El del video o hyprland? Estoy entre los 2 a punto de dar el salto
@@JuanCarlosFlores-ef9lf wayland consume más recursos. Hyprland también depende la configuración qué uses, he visto entornos con Hyprland qué ya parecen un Desktop y no un WM. Pero es de gustos, prueba varios y decides.

hey! using you bspwm rice, it's just awesome. do you know about setting up hibernation thing? I have swap space already allocated and tried different things to auto hibernate system whenever battery reaches low level. Thanks!
@@sachinsoni5044 You can install xfce-powersettings and run it at startup, within the xfce power settings options, this is what you are looking for.

It hot-reloads, it has a powerful hyprctl utility, it has a lot of community effort going into it, and it often is the first innovator on a lot of things regarding Wayland. Also, not to mention that ricing Wayland is a lot more enjoyable and stable.
