Maco 750 CB Linear Amplifier Demo.
This is a Demo of a MACO 750 CB Linear Amplifier using an MFJ Giant peak reading meter with an MFJ 2500 watt dry dummy load. Amp has nine tubes in 3 stages.
1 8950 tube driving - 2 6LB6's driving - 6 6LB6 sweep tubes.

This is a demo of an all-stock Wawassse Model JB 2000 RF amplifier. It is being driven by a Dak 10 dead keying 4 watts with a swing to 10 - 11 watts. The Dak drives a Wawasse Model JB 76-B driver modulator sporting 2 - 8417 tubes with a dead key of 30 - 40 watts and swings to 150 watts. You want to sell the 75 i used to have the 75 super modulator back in the 70s this brings back great memorys from my teen years..
That amp can be modded to run either 10m or 6m. I have mine set to run on 6m.

Yeah great demo dummy. All these people showing these units at work but nobody's caring to tell how they hook up, how to operate etc. 🙄

I bought this amp and it's mint still in the Box as well as dozens of other nos amps as I've been super busy with radio repairs but I'll hook it up someday.
with a slightly lower deadkey and a little more Modulation you will get 300 PEP, maybe more of you have 14.4 volts, double check you voltage on the supply, don't count on that needle. I bought this exact amp from eBay back in 2003 nos with the box and paperwork. Plugged it in and let it sit for an hour and kaboom, the filter caps went. My bad I should have replaced them. I did fix it and running it as I write this post. Great little amp.
Yeah I bought this amp from this guy he had it on ebay but that's the first thing I'm going to do is recap it before I use it.
Look at the signal on a scope and see how much of the Dirty signal is actually on the channel you are on and how much is somewhere else including other bands.👎🏻💩🚽
@@oldolfmann8927 Because I would never own a Dirty amplifier.I run an ICOM PW-1 and it’s a Proven Clean amplifier on HF/6 meters.

You might have to drop your dead key level.
No the stock 4 watt dead key will over drive the amp. The amp wants 2 to 2.5 watt dead key with more modulation (Swing to say 30 watts PEP)

increase the input powwr and watch the output increase to the max and then stop imediatly when the out doesnt increas further. these rm italy amps and alike handle about 8Watt hf in well, more is very critical.

Overdrive in that little lamp that little lamp should only take you about 25 W
25Watt in will destroy that amp.

No a stryker is to much radio for this little amp.
@@chevyguy1128 You can most definitely put a Stryker on it. Just have a low dead key. A watt or whatever the amp call for.
