What a sh*t design, I have the 2018 Pirelli RR and have gone through 3 batteries so far, I am an industrial designer but would like to punch the dude that did this, not even having any jump points so what do you do when you've been out for a ride battery is dead, just call roadside assistance they said to me, sit for 3 hours and wait then take it to a dealer 25kms from home so they can replace the battery with another over priced piece of rubbish. My MV has spent more time at the dealer than on the road!! Great looking, awesome fun but what a c**t to work on and don't even start about the rear brake fade!!!

I DID IT!!! I was able to install a small 24 VAC gas valve made by 'US Solid' between the burner line only. This modification does NOT bypass any safety mechanisms built into the unit. The main gas valve, which monitors the pilot via the thermocouple and the oxygen depletion sensor, is still in use. All I have done is interrupt the gas flow to the main burner. When the unit calls for heat, I control the small gas valve via a Nest thermostat to allow gas to flow and light the burner. It works flawlessly in my detached garage, keeping the temperature at about 45°F during the cold Northeast winters. The biggest challenge was finding two specific fittings: 1. A female 9/16-24 thread to 3/8" NPT fitting to connect the burner line to one side of the valve. 2. A male 9/16-24 thread to female 3/8" NPT fitting to thread into the unit's main gas valve. From there, I simply used 3/8" to flare fittings and connected a small 3/8" gas line to bring it all together. I located one fitting and the small gas valve on Amazon. The other fitting (male 9/16-24 thread to female 3/8" NPT) was much harder to find, but after extensive searching, I managed to locate it on eBay. This particular fitting is quite rare since these units use 9/16-24 fine thread, which is uncommon in the gas world. Overall, it’s a very simple modification that, again, does not bypass any safety mechanisms. However, it’s definitely a "do-it-at-your-own-risk" project, and I am not recommending anyone attempt it. 😅

I Hooked It Up, And It's Worked Fine Ever Since. I Got The 30,000 BTU.. Hooked It Up? And Haven't Had One Problem In Two Years. The Next Time The Electricity Went Out? I Never Even Noticed It. I Knew It Went Out, Because When I Woke Up? ALL THE CLOCK LIGHTS WERE FLASHING. And? I Had To Reset The Microwave And Stove Clocks. It Was A 10 Degree Below Wind Chill Outside. I Guess When It Gets Really Cold Here? Everyone Turns Up The Electric Heat. Which Screws Something Up At The Electric Company. But Now? I Just Set My MR. HEATER To Where I Want It? I have this heater in my garage and it sucks... My garage is 24x24 all insulated and drywall this heater will run for 4 hours on setting 3 and it will shut off due to no oxygen. Only way I can get it to say lit is crack a window and put a box fan on the floor under the window on low to keep it running and it will never shut off because im heating the open window.

Nobody seems to know including dynoglow whether or not the natrual gas unit needs a regulator. Is it built in?? Does it simply run off of the natural gas line coming in to the house just fine?

We're moving to Michigan in a week. The place we just bought has a 2.5 car garage I plan on heating. I was going to buy this heater but I think I'm gonna buy the Mr Heater Big Maxx (50k btu) instead. The garage is currently unfinished / uninsulated and I want to be able to hang out in the garage right away. I just don't think the 30k btu will do the job. Eventually I plan on doing closed cell foam on the roof deck and rock wool bats in the walls and sheeting with plywood. I love the fact these heaters are natural gas and you don't have to mess with propane tank refills / deliveries.

Af1 racing in Texas sells the plastic petcock that usually breaks on the bottom of the tank. I did not have slack and broke mines. I also extended the hose to add some slack for future tank removal
