The Gen 4 Games were practically my childhood back then. I found my first shiny pokemon in platinum which was Gastly. When I got the remakes I considered shiny hunting but I wasn't persuaded until I accidentally ran into my first BDSP shiny, Shiny Heatran

Congrats!! You know this was a theory I had that I never had the guts to do. Most of us thought it started in PLA if you save in front of it. Makes sense cause when it’s spawn it already is the Pokémon with same nature and stats. I guess cause it’s so time consuming, most wouldn’t dare risk trying it out if they do get the shiny after already putting in the work to finding it.

You can also get the Misty Mark on one of your party Pokémon, pretty much in the same way you get the Partner Mark. I was curious about that mark so I went to Bulbapedia, and yea, it's like the Partner Mark, where you have to walk 10k+ steps with a mon. So you can climb / walk 10k steps with your lead mon in misty areas to get the mark. You just don't need it to be 200+ friendship value. So it's not reserved per say to a wild Pokémon. You just need to be there in a misty area, in Kitakami, near the '' out-of-bounds '' barrier

Im currently hunting shiny Palkia too but havent had any luck in forever :( I dont really know how often i reseted but it should be around 30 hours of my life by now😅

Does it matter if I save multiple times before I encounter Heatran? I'm certain it doesn't but I've been having a dry spell trying to get Shiny Heatran to spawn and looking for tips and pointers.

Currently resetting for Darkrai after getting Arceus and the resetting time is KILLING ME. I’m trying to push through like I did for Arceus but it’s been a struggle. 😭

For shiny hunting in violet do I need to sweep the area then leave said area? To the point the target pokemon disappears visually? Or do I just hang out in the area doing constant sweeps?

Nice I did finally got shiny roaming Entei back in heart gold warping up getting a shiny team almost done now I did get the whole Shiny Hunting creation trio at Least back in 2021 to 2022 in BDSP as well as Regigias Arceus Shaymin Darkrai and Got Shiny Entei form Raminus park all Catched (I Will Save the 2 BDSP Roamers to Shiny Hunt in Shining Pearl) and I Have to remind myself to finish getting closer to finishing Other legendary in Raminus park im saving the Shiny Regis trio for shining pearl (but I have Catch All 3 OG Regis as Shiny On my Pokemon sword and got Shiny Regidrago Before going to PAX West last year ) Ect so good luck with the next shiny Hunting
