I do not recommend Lemonade Insurance Company. We paid $3800 a year for home insurance, but our claim for a water pipe burst was denied. The adjustor came and took pictures of our bathroom and I kept telling him that our ceramic wood in the kitchen was lifting and he just kept ignoring me and focusing on the bathroom which is tiles. #Lemonade Insurance Company. #Terrible #homeinsurance

What advice you have for a new adjuster ? Is a drone a good avenue of extra income with the adjuster field here in Florida ? And or can you stay as a 6-20 while getting my home inspection license also and wind mitigation and 4 point also ?

Unfortunately, we are in the middle of a "fight" with Allstate regarding hail damage to our siding and roof from a hail storm that happened in cental KY at the end of February. It is now the end of April! This has been one of the most stressful experiences of our lives! Then, at the beginning of April we had a pipe burst and flood a third of our basement! That claim is going ok. Our agent told us that hail damage cannot accurately be seen by photos, so that's why they say "there is no evidence of hail damage." We've had 2 inspections by the same inspector, who works for Hancock. If photos cannot show hail damage, then why do they ask for photos? That's just crazy! It is ridiculous to us what we have had to do to try and prove our case and maybe having to hire a public adjuster, paying out money to get what is rightfully ours from all the premiums we have paid! Our roofer has been extremely helpful, but not sure what the next step will be. Very discouraging and upsetting to say the least. Sorry for the long message, but sometimes it helps to rant about it all. 😭

Hi, i have been working on the restoration industry for two years and i know that it is really hard to get claims approved specially when almost all of our estimates are 10k - 30k mostly on water damage claims and animal damage claims however have you heard or read into the RIA? is the restoration industry association which helps restoration companies to push their estimates through with a few statements that use.

I’ve used a Public Adjusters firm and they have helped. However; there is also damage to my health as a result of the delay it took to get insurance company’s attention. They helped immensely as far as the damage to my home. However; they can’t help me in my state with what I see as a criminal element in the denial because their lawyers can’t do criminal aspects of the case in my state. My health has been severely impacted because of the insurance company’s bad faith. Where can I go for help? Can a public adjuster who can practice in my state (Georgia) that the bad faith aspect of my case in Georgia.

Wait, I have homeowners insurance so that when I have damage to my home, I depend on my insurance company to pay the claim because that's what I have a homeowners insurance for, but oh no, you're telling me I should actually pay for all of the cleanup and mitigation out-of-pocket, and then I'll get my claim paid! I've done it both ways, and it doesn't work that way, and in fact, I called my insurance company right away, and they started sending people out to mitigate the problem, which is how it should go, but these insurance companies are dishonest, and I'm starting to get the impression that it's all about collusion and nothing about the policy protecting the homeowner! Homeowners insurance is a total scam! Then, unfortunately, we have incompetent Public Adjuster's who don't know what the heck they're doing, and most of them are charlatans, and some have made off with checks that belong to the homeowner!

As someone who has worked in all aspects of water damage/restoration for 11 years I will tell you that this is critical information for all homeowners need to hear. I see good and honest homeowners get destroyed by their own insurance company who they’ve been paying for decades and it’s their first claim. Just to deny it and get stuck with the bill by a fly by night restoration company. Great information here.

We had several items that got damaged due to the damage and unable to live in or close to our house and are having to stay with in-laws because they said they won’t pay for a place until clarified this is the frozen pipe. Please help. We were planning to put the house on the market in May and have been dealing with this till February. We want to get the most out of this we can so we can have maybe a good downpayment for a next house. Any suggestions?

What about snow storm melting? What about I had 33% rubber roof put on now leak is where they're work stopped. Who's fault is it?

They've been trying this for 1.5 years with me now on an open claim from early 2023. For 1.5 years I've had all bathrooms in my house inoperable. I've got 3 plumbers reports, plumbing supervisors report, 5 general contractors reports, 9+ pictures, 2 carpenters reports. I've complied with everything insurance instructed me to do thus far, contrary to their accusations. From opening the ceilings, to demoing a bathroom, to having an access port installed in one, to cutting out a portion of the floor myself for damage mitigation, to not showering for 1.5 years etc... The abrupt water damage has just been sitting the whole time. Which has led to extensive rot, some mold and sagging floors. Which is the insurance companies fault for delaying, denying, and finally approved late last year. Yet they approved for mere hundreds deliberately under my deductible. Took 8 field adjusters, 3 desk adjusters just for them to do that. The damage estimates directly after this happened were for $16k. Due to them taking 1.5 years, those same damage estimates are now over $100,000... I'm not sure what to do all the attorney's only handle bad faith cases. Keep telling me this is breach of contract. That has to be filed suit for first, in order to determine bad faith. Please help me, my house has been declared uninhabitable due to my insurance's deliberate delaying and negligence. I've kept logs of all the adjusters and others I've dealt with, via text, email and some voicemails.

I have homesite and they screwed me not to mention they put me thru hell and also they sent me thru an entire investigator checked my bank records , phone records, checked the tittle to all my properties and harassed me for 2 1/2 months . I hired a public adjuster and they dont want to talk to him either . I filed a complaint with the department of insurance and i have submitted my proofs and receipts 3 times to 3 different people
