I muffed one up today, ordered a dual pack of the wires that are also a little longer, got one connected, muffed, smushed those tiny insides on the other one, I don't have great control with my hands anymore, I've had four major strokes. I've never liked these connectors...ever, the mini PCI ones or these M.2 MHF4, I need to design a new connection so that most humans can use it. I have an idea for one that would work great.
Did you use a gevey sim or normal sim
@@Bklyn-z5w this was years ago. I don't remember
Appreciate your help bro. Your gateways may be pricey but well worth the support and reliability they come with! Return customer with no regrets!
@@profitgee1 not too pricey… specially when I offer updates for below cost
I'm considering the 5G home backup plan to pair with a new Fiber install I have coming. My server rack is in the basement and my initial thought was to do external antennas run up to my OTA TV antenna mast on the roof. I had not considered putting the whole unit on the roof as you did, but I can see the benefit of shorter antenna wires for signal strength. Is this why you put the whole unit up there? If I was running to my server rack it would be a good 50+ feet down to the basement. Can you share any links and additional details of the POE equipment you used? (NVM found the link is another comment)

Can this device do Tower Locking (not Band Locking) like the InvisaGig? I really want to have that feature, I have 3 5G towers in my area and I want to lock to a specific one.

@RouterRelated Interesting, i read below its only for if ISP doesnt have ipv6 prefix. So GNAT doesn't? I would have thought TMobile did. Thank you
lots of info on the cheaper m10k21. I have the M10M43. not as many topics or info so I assume it doesn't have as many issues?
I wish that were the case. I don’t have much to post on the M10M43 due to its unreliability I’ve seized selling it. The OS are virtually identical. If you need firmware for it I’m only a email away. (1.5.4 for M10M43)
@@RouterRelatedwell thats depressing news. Is 1pm to early to start drinking? My ipv6 still doesn't work
@@crazyhass84 lol I sent you the firmware the qca ipq5018 usually has IPv6 enabled by default on the latest firmware
Aside from just enabling IPv6 for services that might want/need it, do we get any other benefits? In theory with IPv6 we shouldnt need NAT, which was part of the whole idea in the change. But I'm guessing we still can't get that extrenally facing address that many of us might want, CGNAT is kind of a pain for some things. I just saw the firmware update from a few days ago and updated too, I might email you about a possible problem, but need to check again with this newer firmware.
The nat type issue is more related to the carrier side of things. I’ve got some tricks I’ve been trying and need someone to confirm so I’ll be waiting for that email to see if this might just yield an interesting result 💪🏼
@@RouterRelated Either the firmware or the Nat change has generally given me faster speeds. But my problem may need to wait for more rain and may have to do with switching between LTE and 5g. Need to monitor and see what happens.
I just received mine a few hours ago. I did the firmware update, too. Firmware Version: 1.9.6-20230426-132828
Where you get the firmware file?
I followed all the steps and i still don't get the IPv6 address

I'm in the process of upgrading the PC and it's been a while (AM2 +). Recently retired so I'm not going with the latest and greatest, just give it a boost. Going Ryzen 5 CPU and 64 GB of 6400 DDR5 RAM. I saw the M.2 socket on the motherboard but had never heard of M.2, glad I researched it. Anyway, thanks for the video, I was real hesitate connecting connectors so small and had no idea how to go about it and not wanting to damage the connections. Thanks again for the post!

Thanks for this video! What you've done here is something I am considering at the moment with my Arc unit, but curious if you are familiar with or know anything about the Poynting EPNT-2? I'm considering doing a similar build with it, but am still researching a bit before I jump in. TIA!
No good it's only a 2x2... this is what you can use to house just the router board leaving out the wifi- thewirelesshaven.com/shop/antennas/outdoor/outdoor-cellular/mimo-directional-panel/600-3800mhz-cellular-8dbi-directional-4x4-mimo-antenna-rj45-connector/?aflt=154 This is a 4x4 with enough room to house the poe splitter and small kvd router board

Last question for you (maybe), can any IMEI magic be performed so that I don't have to take apart my Arc and instead use my existing sim with another device? @@stillhere153 Good to know! I think I might end up replicating your setup, and the single Ethernet cable is a really nice bonus. One last question: you don’t happen to know if it’s possible to band-lock n-41 with a 2x2 antenna. I also have a 4x4 antenna, but the 2x2 is cheaper and my towers are in different directions, so the 4x4 don’t help me much.
