Pinzgau and Beyond is a channel focused (but not limited) to the beautiful region of Pinzgau, also known with the name district of Zell am See according to its administrative center. Located in state of Salzburg in Austria, it has a lot to offer, especially for people who love the nature and wonderful mountain landscapes - watch and follow this channel to learn more about Pinzgau and its possibilities.
Kaprun high mountain reservoirs hiking - Stauseen, Hohe Tauern - 09/2024 | Pinzgau and Beyond
Finally visiting the famous high mountain reservoirs in Kaprun! And certainly not a disappointment, with wonderful views of the two reservoir lakes - Mooserboden at the altitude of 2036 meters and Wasserfallboden at 1672 meters - surrounded by the some of the highest peaks of Hohe Tauern mountains, like the Großes Wiesbachhorn at 3564 meters.
Going up is easy with a ticket combining linked trips with bus, funicular and another bus. Same transports back is possible, or for example combining a short hike to the Fürthermoar Alm restaurant above the lower reservoir like in this video.

Biking up until Uttendorfer Hochsonnbergalm (1925 m), then continued upwards by hiking, until the Bärensteigkogel (2225 m). This peak and the main mountain ridge overlooking the Salzach valley is part of the Pinzgauer Spaziergang - hiking route that goes from Mittersill to Zell am See all the time around 2000 m high, offering wonderful views to all directions around.
