Utah is an amazing place to explore. It has all kinds of geographical features that can be found nowhere else in the USA. Most people just see what's in the parks, but there is a ton more than that all around the state.

My pleasure. Kanab is a special place being on the edge of the transition zone of the colorado plateau, it offers some amazing and very interesting geological aspects of the earth to see and touch and experience. I appreciate that feedback. I've never heard that before, but I'll take it to heart. It's more difficult to speak fast for 15 minutes straight continuous than you might think. I try to balance clarity of communication, so the listener can fully understand on one hand, while trying to convey as much information on the other hand. maybe I got it wrong on this one. Thank you for your comment. They do have their problems. I don't care for their politics, and I'm sure there are some problems in ABQ. George Soros has corrupted the DA office in many places, and this may be one of them, driving local chaos and criminality. It's not a perfect world, and it seems that many do not manage their refuse very well. This goes hand in hand with law and order. But the natural part of the state offers some interesting geography, again, thank you for your comment. regards, Dan

Woot: You bet. For those who do not know the ways of the desert, when you come to visit, ask the locals before you take any risks. Always take extra water, tell others when you head out into the desert alone, or if you go into a slot canyon, also bring some food and knife and the ten essentials(national park system). In short: Be prepared and wear a hat and sun protection. The desert is unforgiving sometimes, especially in the heat of summer. Regards, Dan

ANN: I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I loved visiting there, now 5 years ago. We stayed in this 100 year old house that was in pretty bad shape, but it was fun anyway. We had Pearl at the time. We could walk from the house all over the hills to the north that overlooked the ocean and in that climate they could grow any kind of flowers or bush under the sun the homes were beautiful, or we could walk west down to the business district, which was only about 5 blocks, and it had everything we needed and more, and if we were in the mood, we could walk on past to the trail that led to the walk along the water that is more than a mile long, and at the end there is a coffee shop that has bakery goods and excellent coffee. It is a delightful place to visit. Plus I was able to drive to the trails in the mountains less than an hour away and backpack or dayhike in the beautiful north cascade mountains. It was an extraodinary place to visit. I'd love to go back.

You are absolutely right. Utah is one of my favorite places, better than most other areas in the Western mountains. Plus the people are very nice, friendly, and trustworthy, decent humans.

@@shadikhub I appreciate your feedback and ideas. But unfortunately, I am having some health issues lately, and do not have time to focus on the YT channel. If you can offer initially, free advice, I would accept it, and in proportion to the effectiveness of your ideas, I would provide some appreciation in measure to the effectiveness of the outcome for me. This is all that I can offer. I agree that my content is decent, perhaps even good. But it has occured to me the things that you mention could be an issue. Also, YT is extremely competitive place, especially in the travel space where I operate. I imagine that I will continue to grow subscribers and viewership, despite my shortcomings, and eventually do much better, but that will take some time, perhaps years. Jim: Thank you for your very kind comment. It's hard to not have beautiful images when videograhphing southwest Colorado. It's one of the prettiest places in Colorado, and perhaps one of the prettiest areas in America. It really offers outstanding opportunities to enjoy the outdoors in all of it's beauty of wildness. There is so much more beauty than what I showed in the video, which was just the smallest sampling of what the Durango-Silverton areas offers to visitors to the area. It's truely an extraordinary part of America. If you love hiking in the outdoors, you can't do much better than southwest Colorado. Arizona and utah also has some great places to visit and the calling card for these places is the accessability of the much lower elevations of the places in these states. But if you can stand the higher elevations, there's few places like this in America. Again, thanks for the comment !!! regards, dan

The Durango to Silverton narrow gauuge railroad is an awesome trip.

@Colorado_Native It's a remarkable section of real estate, and the amazing route of the narrow gauge railroad is not the least of what makes it so special.

@@dannoringer I grew up in Telluride, Ouray and Durango. At the time just didn't realiize how beautiful the area was. When we were little kids we wanted to go see the ocean and desert. Thanks for the reply.

@@dannoringer Yes, it was definitely summer, could've been August. It was back in 1997, so I'm sure what month. Wish I'd known about those other areas in your video. Strange that there was no information about them at the time. I visited almost every weekend when I lived in Las Vegas to get away from that hell hole.
