    I almost purchased a Jazz 2 and decided against it after reading some reviews. This verifies I made the right decision. I am not sure why you are getting such birds nests and irregular stitch length. Are you using a stitch regulator?

    I am trying FMQ on jazz2 but I do not have a frame yet. I am confused about the tension. I have tried every tension from 4 - 9. The front will look great but when I look at the back, it is a mess! Perhaps I am giving it too much speed? How far down do you push the pedal?

    Thank you for the video. I know I am late in watching but it still helps a lot. I have the Jazz 2 and an old frame bought second had that could handle a Juki 98Q. I am going to try my Jazz on the frame as it has a larger throat space. This has helped me a lot to get started.

    I am just getting into quilting with my Tiara III. I got frustrated with it and it sat for 3 years or so. You were great . It does help to see how you worked thru issues in this video! It’s nice to know I’m not alone when it comes to free motion quilting! Practice does make better. No whee near perfect, but the more I play and practice, the better control I am learning to have with it! Thank you for sharing!

    Edit: I see that you named the frame ( Grace Q Zone hoop frame), so I don't need an answer now, but wondering why it is so much more expensive (not a question for you) than the original one, even when it was not on sale. I have seen the Cutie Breeze recently, with the overhand bars, which I would rather have, I think. On the Jazz II and tension issues, I found a great video on it a year or so ago on RUclips, although I don't recall who made it, if you need it I will try to search for the person again. Question please, where is your fame from, is it a Cutie with an overhand bar, confused? I really enjoyed watching your video, this is how I learn, you rock and we quilters are worst enemies, you do good work lady

    Thank you, I want to know how much actual quilting space is available once you are set up with your Jazz 2? Thinking the bulk of the quilt determines this, but with your quilts how much are you getting?

  • @carolecossette8847
    @carolecossette8847 Год назад

    I have the sure stitch elite as I have the machine on a Q-Zone Queen so the pedal was useless. It's actually great - it beeps if you go too fast or slow and keeps your stitches even. You have to practice though. You can put it on manual so you can slow down the machine or on regulated.

  • @carolecossette8847
    @carolecossette8847 Год назад

    I also have the same set up - do you find it hard to see the needle with the bar that is in front of the handles. I'm wondering if I'm set up incorrectly because I'm always bending over to see what I'm doing.

      I just purchased my from Moore’s and right out of the box I am having problems with the thread getting caught around the bobbin and pulling my fabric into the plate with a warning sound. It’s brand new so, I am very disappointed with my Jazz 2. You would think it would work brand new out of the box but my little brother machine I normally use which was only $300 works fantastic. I thought I would finally move up to a supposed better machine but instead it is very frustrating and disappointing. I might have to return it and it just arrived yesterday. I will call Moore’s tomorrow which is a Monday and hopefully they will help me either fix this issue.

    I full motion quilted my first quilt today with no problems ( on my Jazz 2). On my second quilt I hit the same problem that you encountered. I went and rethreaded my bobbin since there appeared to be no tension. I watched the Baby Lock RUclips on threading a bobbin and I noticed that they hold down the bobbin while threading it. I did a test strip and it solved the problem. I am using 50 weight cotton thread and an Organ Needle 18/110. I need to use cotton since I am making quilts for kids in a hospital and there is a problem with the glide threads melting from repeated washings. I am a newbie, I am only on my 2nd free motion quilt. I did stitch in the ditch on the others. Feed dogs are down, tension: 6, thread length .5 width 3.5. Good luck and thanks for your videos.

    Great to see issues that can arise. The videos where everything goes without a hitch don't teach how to work around issues. Being fairly new to quilting, I get frustrated and seeing how others get past these challenges are more helpful than just watching someone quilt without problems (or maybe they edit those out???). Thanks for the educational videos!
