Maybe because it’s a brand new world being retired versus working and I’m in another country. I start having weird thoughts about how I ended up here and that I am really doing this. #expatinthephilippines #retiredinthephilippines #regrets

I'm two years in the PH - and am becoming disillusioned. What I'm about to say is rude - but sadly the truth. The average IQ for PH natives is 85 - equivalent to an American 5th grader - and when you add in their natural inclination to advantage situations - it results in a disingenuous population that doesn't know any better. Imagine elementary kids running around - in control of everything - and nothing works as it should. There is no depth to any conversation - it's all topical - and any intellectual nuance is over their heads. At first engaging is romantic relations with beautiful and younger women seems - other world - but there comes a time when you want to just talk with them too - and you're left feeling lonely - and guilty - for abusing easy targets in the sexual power dynamic that exists in the PH. We expats are really the weird dudes back home - and we're the ones that abuse the locals and pretend it doesn't matter - as we take advantage of their weaknesses - vulnerability - and beauty.

Naw, I dont regret it.. I retired at the age of 46, and we moved here when I was 53 (2023) when the wife was ready to come back home since she had been gone for 20 years. Outside of the wide open roads, there isnt much to miss about the US. I think over these next 18 months, there will be a whole host of US citizens trying to leave for even remotely more peaceful and cheaper places to live. The US has become the leader in the working homeless class.. But this started with trickle down economics in the 80s as it led to the beginning of middle class destruction. Now the country is in the hands of a group of wealthy men, who only care about other wealthy men... FAFO time... Freedom in the US has always been a facade... The wealthy have full freedom, all others have limited freedom based on any number of factors... We see this pretty often recently.... And it will get worse over this next year and a half. The best way to live over here is in areas where there are not a whole lot of other immigrants.. Especially ones from the US...

Almost no blogger ever talks about the adult kids coming to visit. Gio is finally going back to three boys he left behind because of a woman. Now the woman dumped him. I know of only two bloggers who have adult American kids living with them or visiting 😮😊😮😊

Try using Vinegar, Dish Soap, and Water. Get a Pump spray and spray it over the affected areas. You won’t have to pressure wash anymore. Less work and it keeps the Bugs and Some Cats away! Love your House btw!

@@arnelagustin8837 thank you! So do I apply that after I clean the cement or apply it when it’s getting dirty and moldy?

    • @arnelagustin8837

@ Hi, apply it when you see signs of the Algae forming. Add more Vinegar if it seems too weak, also works on killing weeds as well! I start with a 60/40 mix, good luck!

Where are you located? When I lived in Rodriguez Rizal, no problem with Globe, PLDT sucked. Here in Davao Mindanao Globe is awful. I was planning on Starlink becaothers said it was good. I wonder what your download speed is because Globe is barely gets 2.1 mbps on a good day and i have weekly Zoom conferences with San Antonio Texas Church

Starlink is n$45 a month and no quicker and is not reliable in weather and you need a complete 360 degree surrounding of the sky. I have that but it's not better than my provider and cost twice as much.
