Fantastic overhaul of your closet. We lived in Alberta for a few years both in Calgary and Didsbury. Some of the most wonderful welcoming people. Now back in Ontario

You practically look the same as you did more than 20 years ago! You, your daughter, and your husband did an amazing job cleaning and tidying up the closet. At least you made good use of your essential oils. I probably threw out 50 pretty full bottles that didn't smell good the other day and I'm sure I donated at least 50 in backstock/unopened bottles. For me, that hobby (or whatever you call it) was a horrible fantasy self fail. At least now I have a plan for what remains and have them sectioned off into oils that I'd use on wool dryer balls to scent laundry, oils to use when cleaning, some bug repelling oils that I'll basically use up outside, and some that I enjoy diffusing.

I simply don’t have a bathroom drawers. I have very small cando.

That was a big job! Its like pulling teeth to get my hubby to declutter his items but I won't give up I pried 10 records from his hands the other day out of the hundreds he has & 20 are ready to go up for resale. We are like turtles but that is ok. Over up to 221 items on my 1000 goal. Maybe getting new wedding rings will be a goal in your future if that is what you want or getting them resized just a thought. Your daughter is such a blondie she is a good helper Jeri!

I clean as I go. I whatever I use I put where it belongs. I don’t like things all over the table or elsewhere.

I saved a bunch of art projects from s hook and stuff we did together for my kids and grandkids… thinking they would get a kick out of looking at it in later years.. they didn’t want any of it, so I spent all those years keeping all this paper for nothing, I went thru it and kept MY favs and got rid of the rest!

Just watch the vlog just now great tips! You did so well for you first live it helps knowing people have the same problem & can talk about it. I am making progress on my 1000 items even ifs small areas each day I try to tackle something to delcutter & its making me feel so good. Have even got hubby to donate 12 records that was big lol I have to do show & tell with him to get him to do it but it works for now.

Some years ago I was stuck to things (especially books) that had been gifted to me or things I didn’t like but were expensive. After I started working on myself and coming out as non-binary I finally started the decluttering process and slowly got rid of those things. Two weeks ago I FINALLY was able to get rid of those books that I really didn’t want to keep hanging onto. Whew - three years of self-exploration later… 😂❤ I love your advice of figuring out what things are good for YOU. Figure out who YOU are first and the decisions may become more clear.

Morning Jeri! I missed you live, but I’m now here EARLY morning! I’m north of Dallas, Texas. 20 degrees this morning….burrr for us! I’m 65 and my husband and I downsized. We’ve decluttered my parents over the last couple of years. I’ve thinned the herd here now by filling a dumpster with toys our grandchildren have grown past. Also home decor we don’t need. Our food pantry is now very thin. We just stock what we need for a couple of weeks. I have lupus. We need life to be simple because I don’t know when I will flare and feel bad. Enjoying your videos. You are getting more relaxed!!!! Cheering you on from the grand state!!!

Start small, also layout of the room makes a HUGE difference

I'm so sorry I missed your live! I was watching football and totally forgot. I don't usually go online until after everyone goes to bed anyway. I like going through certain areas and setting criteria or parameters for what I want to declutter and what I want to keep. For example, this weekend I went through my essential oils and got rid of dozens of bottles because I didn't like how they smelled. Like you said, it was a painful process because I spent so much on them and it took such a long time but I barely use them as it is and I'm certainly not going to use the ones that reek! I'd love for you to do a "Purge to Prioritize" series or something like that where you peel a layer of the onion and get rid of toiletries/cleaning supplies you don't like, uncomfortable clothing/footwear, excess bedding/blankets, kitchen items you hate using/cleaning, makeup that's too old, other expired items like medicine, food that nobody wants to eat, etc.

Leave acid based toilet cleaner for a night. It will work much better, you can also use a special stone (don't remember the name) for cleaning toilet too.

I relate to the part about having anxiety. Thankfully my health insurance pays for therapy sessions, but I’m glad you’ve found classes that helped with your confidence and then you found the time to implement some of those recommended changes. I love that path for you. ❤

I just came across this video of yours and I watched you kinda struggle with that toilet bowl. I went through the same thing, even had to get in there with a pumice stone. All that changed when I bought a bottle of Zep toilet bowl cleaner. I’m gonna just say, that it’s a miracle in a bottle. Let me know if you try it. 😊
