The mushrooms! Girl!! That used to be me so bad!! Sometimes it still is if I "ask for help with making the shopping list" ask me how I have 5 jars of pickles now but yup that used to be a constant in my house. I couldn't find it or I just missed it when making the list and ugh!! 20,000 cans of olives later... lol It doesn't happen so much now that I have a different storage space that I use as pantries but yup I feel you. Now I can just open the door, everything has a place so I know if I need more of something and onto the list it goes. Took me a LONG time to get here though but now I love it. The floor is beautiful!! We are currently replacing the floor through our whole house. Its such a nice refresh. I online shop a lot but groceries are not something I can have someone else pick out for me. Well I should say dry goods are fine but like produce and stuff thats fresh or refrigerated I cant. Nope cant have people picking out that stuff for me. But right now I dont use the pick up for groceries. I want to start using it more though because online they say they have things and then you get to the store and nope not in stock so its getting annoying. So I am going to have to get over my "ick" factor and have some pick up stuff happening. We usually do big pantry restocks every 4 months or so and that only leaves the fresh to pick up every week anyways. Ok that was a whole ramble sorry about that.. I am looking forward to the declutter challenge. We really dont do gifts for Christmas anymore. Its just the 3 of us and my son is 24 so we all just buy what we want instead. But since I only had 1 I have no advice. I went nuts at Christmas. I saved all year to have "the pile of presents" under the tree. Which means I am not much help LOL Now I ask him what he wants and he says "nothing" sooo he buys his own. I use Pinterest for meal planning. I pick out 5 or 6 recipes a week ( mostly for inspiration now ) and they come with built in shopping lists. Makes it easy to just pick from my list every day to choose from. I dont plan out breakfasts because its usually the same all the time and lunches I make once with enough to cover a week of heat and eat. Can you tell I am commenting along as I watch? I miss the days of hitting Toys R Us on black Friday with $300 and be able to have Christmas shopping done. My two are 20 and 23 now so $300 barely makes a dent in their lists.

Love this. Great take-away to do crafts with her after buying them otherwise they'll just stay there. We are going to have to convert my craft room into a kids bedroom and I'm going to create craft storage in the dining room- that way we can all access and do crafts when we want!

I always underestimate how long a project is going to take. I recently organized my very small spice cabinet and thought I could tackle it in 1 hour (in my best SpongeBob voice) “4 hours later” I finally finished. I get it!

Please be careful with your batteries. I remember reading that we should store batteries with all facing the same direction, I.e. positives at one end and negatives separately.

Please be careful about battery storage. A coworker had a house fire that started in his dead battery container, some battery ends connected and sparked. I don’t mean to create fear, just sharing some safety considerations.

You can let batteries jump on a hard surface. They jump different when they are empty

That used to be how we store all our batteries too. Then we found this $14 battery case (If I remember right its called a Battery Daddy why its called this I have no idea but anyways) and it was a game changer. Holds all different kinds of batteries along with the big packs of the aaa and aa batteries we use the most. So nice to just grab it now. Oh and the case came with a battery tester too. I write on the case for the odd sized batteries what date I put them in because I could end up with them in there for like 10 years and then they wont be as good as newer batteries. Love it being called "utility" hahaha I am going with that too. Gotta have it but ugh what to do with it! That cabinet full of papers and stuff looks like the one under my desk. Good inspo for me to tackle that soon. Yup I am that way to. I have serious "what if I need" thinking issues too. Everything looks great! Wonderful job! Shouldn’t the car cleaner things go in the garage?

We have to do closets and cupboards first. Usually they are full of stuff we don’t use ,and there is no room to put away what we DO actually USE.
