I don’t up-charge my customers if they stay on the bi-weekly schedule. I appreciate their business. I have the same mindset as you about that. I call these my premium customers because if they’re willing to let me come service the leaves I’m just charging them the regular mowing rate.

Now all that rain is here from last night and this morning so we will be working tomorrow.

I upcharge some of my customers that has more than Average amounts of leaves falling, if I can't mulch them up in one pass I upcharge!

14 yd in a day is pretty good.

On the day after a pour down, try to get some hedges, leaf clean up, or pine straw. Try to schedule them when you see rain coming in the forecast I would up charge for leaves depending on the amount and what I have to do to them. If I am cutting them up I would charge a basic $10 maybe just to cover some gas but the 12 month service does balance it out

I would like to suggest wearing Hi-vis vest while working near busy streets and maybe wearing them at all times just like ear and eye protection.

Bermuda is the king here too in Memphis and the season is just about like yours. Maybe a little shorter on each end. I would prefer to keep things going all year too and keep each lawn looking good. But , most people just want to stop and restart in the Spring.

I maintain my properties every 3-4 weeks in the months of December through February depending on the amount of fallen leaves. I do not give my clients an option. Winter service is standard to retain my service in the mowing season. Not all people is willing or able to meet that commitment, but my level of professionalism is geared towards the people who have the means to show their appreciation. It is not always about cutting down tall vigorous grass. It is about keeping the property looking respectable. I make sure to slap down the weeds that are trying to take over the lawn while grass is dormant. We have Purple Tassel Flower in my area, which is an invasive weed that spreads rapidly through airborne seeds from the plant. So, there is work to do. I am delivering value. I want to see the same smiles when i show up in the winter as the summer months when i show up in the heat and rain.

Only had 2 last year with 12 months. Maybe I’ll get more. I also get them random customer calls for some yard work.

I have 3 or 4 "texter's" lol. None of them want me to come by ASAP but they never want to be on a schedule. I take them, they average a cut every 3wks or so. As long as they don't demand anything I'm fine with it. Leave no money on the table. 💯

Only part time but I do have a few commercial properties that are 12 months. And that keeps me plenty busy. Plus I gotya have some hunting and fishing time😂.

12 month flat rate is the way to go! We only have a handful of our customers who only pay per service. If you want (year around income), then it it is mperative that you tell your customers who has been with you for over a year. " We are changing how we charge for our services "You will be required to pay a flat monthly rate starting in the month of January of next year through the month of December". "Please contact us if this will be an inconvenience and we will try to resolve the issue " ....We personally have no issues charging this way for over 10 years 🤷

Doing the slow months looks for properties that needs services fellas💯✂️👍

One 225, one 2620T. Echo is my go to.

Great business u have sir. I run echo trimmers , have all sizes and some battery but my go to is the 225 . It just feels good , no issues over several years . I started using Amsoil this year , sabre mux for my two stroke and 10 w40 synthetic in my mowers , using it in my truck also . So far so good ! Keep up the good work

When it slow down leaf clean ups some people still calling about aeration and a little bit of mowing but next season I want to budget to not have to work in the winter but I will if the phone ring

Hey Johnny, hope all is going well for you my friend. Down here in Southwest Louisiana (Deridder) the lawns are brown and dusty, due to no rain so far this month. I use the Echo Srm-225 trimmers, have been for about four years now. I like that they are light and dependable and have been getting the job done for me.

Well i use a stihl 91 personally. I have a dealer 20 min from the house. Nice job on the yards. Question though this time of the year do you switch over to the mulching kit or you just use a shoot blocker year round? I know know me personally some i bag, some i mow open shoot, and others i mulch.

We plan on mowing all the way til the last week in January!... And trimmers do matter when it comes to the quality of the job. So commercial trimmers for us!

All of mine are echo 2620s 2 string trimmer 1 straight shaft edger
