Even if you have zero experience with video production or editing, there are so many easy work arounds for these issues. Like why would anyone capture footage to one PC and move it to another to edit it, let alone on another OS? It's actually insane

I thought this was bad enough until I heard him say FireWire in 2013 (thought it was 2019 before I edited my comment). If you had to (for some reason) capture the already recorded footage instead of just transferring the FRAPS *.AVI files to the Mac, you could've just captured the PC on the Mac using an HDMI capture card. China has made Motion JPEG ones that work over USB 3 for $6 for years. This would've solved his problem of continuing using RCA cables and DVD recorder, which was never ever the best way to do what he does. Seriously tho just use OBS, you can get lossless audio and record the game audio and mic to separate tracks and it's cross platform.
