OMG I've been waiting for this video from you! I love hearing about your monthly income because while I love the big authortubers, I really can't relate lol I write poetry so my sales are always slow going, but I hope this slump is due to readers waiting for that third book and not because you slowed down on marketing. That's one of my biggest fears, and then I burn myself out marketing and not writing haha. Best of luck for August sales!!

I’ve been following since your first income video! You have such a fun and natural personality on camera. It’s like FaceTiming with a friend 😊 I’m on the cusp of 500 subscribers! I agree with @codythewriter (hi Cody!) that it has helped me reach so many new writer friends, which was my whole goal all along. I have no idea if this’ll work, BUT maybe you could do an “all about my books” video to try and sell people on it???

I’m right at the edge of 500 subscribers and have been toying with the idea of making the video. We’ll see! I definitely do appreciate the community aspect of RUclips. I’ve been doing the thing off and on for about 4-5 years now and it’s fun to see whose still here, whose off and on like me, etc. I don’t think there are any massive ways that RUclips has changed anything for me- minus the community aspect. Which in itself is a pretty big thing.

Hi! I am a small writing channel, and I just passed 500 subs this week! (AHHHH!!!) The whole reason I started was to make writing friends and I have absolutely been able to do that. I agree that a majority of the people on here are so kind and supportive, and I love getting to interact with people that watch my content. As far as the live streaming stuff, I go live pretty often on my channel, and I just use my webcam. I don't use my "fancy" camera for those. Most of the time if someone is watching a live, they are just looking to interact with you in real time and aren't worried as much about the video quality! Congrats on the rapid growth your channel is seeing! :) P.S. I love your money videos! As someone who wants to self-publish, your realistic look into what those earnings are like has been SUPER helpful!

So I agree with a lot of what you’re saying in this video. I do have a question, I enjoy the short form videos on social media but the growth on my social media accounts have not grown in years. A lot of my posts are not receiving engagement. The analytics show that my posts are not reaching less than 10 people on each social platforms (IG and Twitter specifically). It can feel like my work is getting thrown out the algorithm. I’m under the belief that I may be shadowbanned. What are your thoughts when you are faced with these challenges as an indie creator?
