So she needs to scream in every song? Chester did plenty of songs without screaming. Doesn't sound like you're familiar with their whole catalog. Pretty boring if every song has screaming in it.

Mike sings backup vocals/harmonies. You can hear them better from the album version over the video. Mix is a little different. Some background: Mike said this was written pre Emily and he did the vocals. That's one of the reasons there are no screams. Once the band heard Emily sing it they wanted her as lead so Mike and Emily made a few changes so it fit Emily a little better. Fun fact: The video is from Mr. Hahn. He said he had always wanted to film a k-drama so he and Emily stayed in Korea after the Seoul show to film.

I think you missed the twist. Emily died in the crash and was a ghost throughout. Her range in this song was phenomenal. She covered melodic, intense and she did get harsh in the drop section

This song its Emily solo song on the Album From Zero. Mike is doing some backup vocals in the beginning of the video if you listen closely.

Their fan club uses the miss-pronunciation. “HANA-BEE”. So they have fun with the name.

You're "operatic" feeling during that traverse, stems from their beat-switch from an even beat (2/4, 4/4) to an uneven 3/4 beat - aka a waltz- Though it's not completely uncommon in popular music, yet its usage is still very surprising and changes the mood of the song completely, temporarily. It makes for a great accent on top of a great song and calls for the attention of the audience.

Chester was an iconic, unforgettable voice! Emily is not Him, nor is she trying to be. She is the real deal though, and I think she did Chester proud in this song. I'm excited for the future of Linkin Park as they move forward.

One, this is one of their older songs. But I don't know if it's one of their more popular songs now. Two, it's actually two lead guitar players that one of the plays rhythm at times during a song. Three, LoveBites needs to be seen live. They have tons of live stuff to choose from.

I own Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Minutes to Midnight and have a dedicated playlist for them on Spotify. I would consider myself a fan somewhere between casual to moderate. That has all changed since Emily joined. Immediately following their livestream comeback show, I started down the Dead Sara rabbit hole. I watched nothing else on RUclips for about 10 days outside of Dead Sara videos and live performances. Since then, I have searched out past interviews with Emily. She has become my favorite vocalist. She may not be the most perfect screamer but she always makes me feel something, whether it is rage, anger, pain, or sorrow. Some of her previous Dead Sara stuff is truly special and reminds me quite a bit of Eddie Vedder with just how much emotion she is able to infuse. She has started to give us a glimpse of some of that in LP live shows with "Lost", "My December", "Friendly Fire", "Waiting for the End", and "Faint" from the NY show specifically. I can't get enough of her.

Absolutely my favorite band of all time. This is a really uplifting song. They go much harder than this, if you want (but also have some amazing ballads) and they are also much, much better live. The live version of this from 2020 is amazing. I recommend Solider Stands Solitarily, Set the World on Fire, Break the Wall. Plenty to choose from, if you’d like to hear a harder style. Things like Thunder Vengeance and Break the Wall are straight up thrash. The talent is through the roof but one thing you won’t find is harsher vocal technique. Asami has a classical voice and a lot of power, but doesn’t really do distortion. She gets a little bit on rare occasions.

probably best chick group of all time. spellbound, dancing with the devil (girl power metal 😜), holy war, break the wall, set the world on fire, and so many more excellent songs, and most of them better than "Rising" IMO. I am an OG LP fan, i remember seeing them the 1st time soon after Hybrid Theory dropped. It was a smal venue, the Chester we all know and love was pretty raw then, he often had cracks and his screams were not what he layer developed into. A lot of fans never saw that side of Chester but he really improved with time. Also LP never called themselves a metal band. They wanted to mix up genres and reinvent themselves on each album. Mike and Chester hated defining their sound. Lastly, i thibk Emily was a good choice she knows she will never be Chester, but she is very talented as Emily. Her live performances continues to get better as she works things out. Eberyone talks about chesters long scream on Given Up. But having seen them 32 times and i only heard them perform it live 7 times he only went super long 2 times and the other 5 times he did the scream with 2 breaths. Chester will always be the goat to me but Emily can be great in her own right

This is the best band on the planet right now......PERIOD!! You only have 80+ tracks to respond to, everyone better than the last, forget any other j rock band these ladies are undoubtedly the best! Most unique, most talented, every single song/arrangement is superb. And obviously they're beauty. Absolutely superb. The best live band I've ever seen/heard in my 65yrs. A band WITHOUT a rhythm guitarist - just two of the best lead guitarists on the planet - and this is fairly tame and simple by their incredible standards . As with the majority of Japanese bands they are so much better live ! You'll doubtless get many song recommendations in the comments - but whichever you decide to go with you won't be disappointed - just impressed and amazed ! ENJOY !
