Light could've come up with a better plan which would've prevented Mikami from making the mistake that he did, but Mikami could've also simply followed instructions as he was told.

So if we take what you say in Ray knowing about the truth of the orphanage for far longer, Ray wasn't able to think of a way to escape for that long even though he was told the truth sooner, while Norman was able to create a plan to escape within a couple months after knowing the truth. So using the information that you presented in your own argument, it actual argues that Norman is smarter.

@@clueanalysis2596 That indeed is a good point! but I recommend you to rewatch some parts again, it is not about the escape plan, Ray already was working on a plan we could see that by the stuffs he made prior-hand, this also includes the super engineered device that Ray made using scratch(like seriously his experience and knowledge is better that Norman's). Getting back to the original point, he already made sure everything needs to go as planned... hence he let them know the truth at the end because he only wanted Emma and Norman to know about the monsters, the reason is quite obvious, 1) Emma and Norman are the oldest, this leads to my second point, which is about trust. The word trust applies to isabella who had a lot of trust from everyone despite being on of the culprits. Furthermore, if Ray let both of them know right after knowing the truth then who knows both of them might snitch, so Ray came up with such a complicated plan to manipulate both of them and into going there and he already planned the escape but wanted Emma and Norman badly. so he kept that a secret and let Emma and Norman come up with a plan that included the others escaping as well(which was mostly done by Emma).

Why do you think that? The tone and emotions convey basically the same feelings as the original and the voice acting is on par with it as well. Do you think this way maybe because you already watched it in sub and so it feels weird watching it in dub? That would be a reasonable explanation. Like saying you only drink milk and then one day you drink orange juice, you would probably say that's weird too simply because it's something you're not use to.

Maybe if Misa's real goal was to kill Kira, but it was pretty clear she actually wanted to meet him otherwise she wouldn't have revealed specific information regarding the death note. She also had a wiser and smarter shinigami in Rem than Light did with Ryuk that knew more about the rules of the death note and shinigami and shared it with Misa.

@@clueanalysis2596 No one gives credit to Misa. Everyone credits L for baiting Light with Lind L. Taylor, but Misa baiting L literally brought him exactly to her direct location. And everyone claiming that she was only able to do it because of the Eyes and her Shinigami, well L would have had millions in funding, Japans full police force, and the best technology on the planet to assist him. Yet one found him immediately, and one did not.

If I had to come up with an answer I would say it's because L was focused on Misa and didn't have the manpower to watch Light and capture and question Misa at the same time. L basically used all the Taskforce to capture Misa and ensure she couldn't kill anyone and this left Light the opportunity to have some breathing room. Light was also aware he was being followed and probably would've had Rem or Ryuk check to see if anyone was following him.

L could still probably find him if he uses his resources well

Well, L would likely already have access to the police database, but yes, he could give each officer an individual piece of information related to the Kira case and if Kira responds to any of it, L would know which officer Kira got it from. L, however would not be able to confine the entire Yagami family.

@clueanalysis2596 confinement of yagami family doesn't need to be legal/official. Just do it we already know that atleast one of the yagamis is affiliated to kira.

@@parameshwar3345 How would he do it then if not legally? He doesn't have the manpower to just randomly kidnap the Yagami family and even if we consider the times when he did have the manpower to do such a thing, the people working with him wouldn't comply as it would be illegal.

Plus he has an entire network of people who are skilled at this stuff and in that line of work it's not very uncommon to choose money over morals. 2. Legal Issue • He performed many illegal acts in the show he was ready perform all sorts of "Methods" on higuchi. • he was given permission to confine mrs Amane for 50 days with way less and solid of an evidence that he has now in my scenario(more like just speculations) • that TV scene itself is illegal on so many levels. I am not trynna counter you look you are indeed a really really smart guy there's no doubt about that but there could a possibility that you are overthinking it.

I clearly referred to the times when he did have the manpower and it's still not relevant because the manpower he had was government agents and police that wouldn't randomly capture people just because L said so. Just because one legal act was performed doesn't mean another one can be. That is the equivalent of saying I can get away with J-walking so I can get away with murder. L might do illegal things at times but it's usually done in a secretive way as to not draw attention back to himself which is why he gets away with setting up cameras in private locations because the suspects likely won't find them or capturing Misa because L had a confined and small team willing to do that. On top of that, that team still only allowed that to happen because there was solid evidence against Misa, that being her hairs and fibers found on the tapes. So when you say "he was given permission to confine mrs Amane for 50 days with way less" that is simply not true because they actual had evidence for Misa. The Yagami family has no solid evidence that anyone of them is Kira, only suggestive evidence which typically isn't enough for what you're suggesting L should do. Kidnapping a whole family even with people that are willing to do criminal activity for L would still leave the absence of that family. Any associates would report them missing and L would basically have a manhunt after him for kidnapping a legally speaking innocent family.

The original reason L thought Kira was in Japan still exists. If L pursues this lead like looking at the timings of the deaths, this will strengthen the argument that Kira is in Japan even if Kira doesn't kill the fake L. L can then try and use the media to list criminals in certain areas and when Kira eventually kills them, it'll suggest Kira is more likely in that area. Light couldn't just leave Japan as he was a student.

@@parameshwar3345 As a student it's unlikely he'd be able to move and even if we apply your argument which isn't always the case, that kind of thing would still take time.

@@clueanalysis2596 yeah its not that hard he was already just a few months away from the end of academic year because we see him giving that exam which was attempted by L too. All he had to do was Search Complete student Scholarship for oversea students in China US Germany etc and he was done.

@@parameshwar3345 You said it yourself, it would still take few months, and a few months more for the results, and a few months more to actually move. As we saw, L was able to get to Light by that point. It would have to be totally convenient timing for Light to just move away right after this incident with a Scholarship.

They are her friends, but they were found where Misa was living. There were also fibers that were also found in Misa's room. One thing I found strange though was that L assumed Kira controlled a person to send these messages, so why wouldn't he assume Misa was being controlled by Kira to send those messages?
