I don't have an official list as its very plain, so here ya go: - Pen - Watercolour - Airbrush But all of them are pressure sensitive, as I have a stylus. It won't have the same effect without the pressures.

​@@Cartoonicus when Webtoon (the platform) offers a contract with a comic artist to be paid for their comic, in return for having to post weekly. These comics are featured on the front page of Webtoon, hence why it's called 'featured' (I think...). To become featured, Webtoon team has to like your work (and think it'll make good money), so... we as individuals don't have control over that. When you post for free without a contract with Webtoon you are considered a 'canvas' artist. Take a look at Webtoon if you'd like - you'll see the two different pages.

Well, manhwa (and manga and manhua) translate to literally 'comic'. So just by drawing comics, you are already considered a 'manhwa' artist :) but Idk if that's what you mean lol - if you mean a *manhwa* artist (a Korean comic artist) you have to post on Naver or a Korean comic platform and post in Korean... I think that's out of the question for many english speakers.

I see, the long answer is simply by reading and observing existing manhwa webcomics (webtoon has tonnes of them). I usually take screenshots of the best parts I like and try mimicking the techniques, or write notes about the story, etc. When I have time I will make more detailed tutorials based on manwha-styled comics. I'm sure there are many YT tutorials on this too (most are in Korean/Chinese though, but I guess auto-translate subs and stuff, try putting in 웹툰 제작 과정을 on the search bar ). Short answer, read and observe manhwas!

Unfortunately Medibang sucks in that way. For now I transform it then I redraw over it on another layer, or I just leave it looking uggy (I mean, I don't think most readers would notice, heh)

That's a great question. When it comes to shading and lighting, I find (scalene) triangles and (irregular) quadrilaterals the most universal shapes used in clothing creases, hair, complex shadows and lighting. Even for big complex areas, it usually is just a bunch of triangles and quadrilaterals combined together. But for smooth curved surfaces (like the chest of a person, suit sleeves), it would be a simple rectangle/line depending on how heavy the light and shadows are. In addition for a more 'manhwa' look, airbrush where the edge of the shadow is a little. I am going to make a revised version of the tutorial in the future, and I'll definietly add more detail on this. Thanks for watching!

​@smochibird Was also gonna ask, in the way you shade and light, how do you determine the shaping for the shading and lighting? I've noticed that obviously there's those shapes you said, but it's kinda confusing on how to shape them and where to put them without going too overboard.

​@@Vikita1795if I was unsure of what shading to do, I would start off by blocking in 1/3 to 2/3 of the area you're filling in, randomly (like a scribble fill in). The left over parts will be where the light/shade is strongest. Then detail the block in by erasing away areas. This way you don't need to know what exact shapes, but just estimates. This might be hard to explain in text, but I hope it helps.
