level design should be one of the last things you do. you start off with your general idea, then create your gameplay loop, and once all of your systems are in a satisfactory state you then create your levels and design them around your gameplay loop, making any tweaks to the gameplay if needed

For next time/challenge, if you go under the Window tab and press package manager, then select show packages from registry (instead of in this project) and then search Navigation you should be able to download it and it should pop up where you saw it in the video. Great video btw! You definitely have a lot of potential!!
