Thanks for this helpful video I have a 2002 with 240k miles. Also thank you for your boldness in sharing about Jesus Christ! Always encouraging to see fellow believers.
God bless you too Thx for the vidéo
There’s a guy on here who used duct tape, but put the mouse glue on the tape. The same glue that’s on the sticky mouse pads
OEM does make a difference in performance... might also explain why you could end up with an oil leak - if the spring issue is ignored long enough...
I hear so many stories of aftermarket parts failing in a month or a year. I agree about the confidence. I don't want to replace the same part twice. Honda makes good parts and they are priced accordingly.
Does this sound increase in high revs?
@@dhanushkesomatilake4285 I believe do but don’t recall specifically. Sorry.
Y have to order on line.

You have to cut a boat in half, tape it back together, and use the boat as a mousetrap.
You sound like Vin Diesel. 😂
Bike Rack: “Ibera Bike Rack - Bicycle Touring Carrier Plus+ for Disc Brake/Non-Disc Brake Mount, Fat Tire Bikes, Frame-Mounted for Heavier Top & Side Loads, Height Adjustable for 26"-29" Frames”
Thanks for taking the time to share. ✌🏼
Very similar to my EG civic type R swap... Vtec wouldn't always engage, took the vtec selonoid off cleaned the mesh with carburettor / intake cleaner spray... Fitted it back and had vtec for the next 2 years u till I sold the car. Presently I've just bought a 2003 crv Uk...(2024) I'm having slight hesitation on the gas, sometimes vtec will not engage... So littery tomorrow I'm going to unbolt the k20 vtec selonoid at the top back of the engine, I believe there is a electronic plug also needs un plugging, it's a few bolts and it wiggles out...ive already got a can of carburetor cleaner spray so that might fix it for me... Also I'm going to do a oil and oil filter change... Luckily my crv came with a lot of service history. Good luck all.
Thanks bro i notice the with my honda
right on the money OEM parts only , ford transfer motor , crv fuel pump, crv injectors, crv vtec assembly case in point here after the aftermarket parts removed
Where did you buy the hose from
@@jvst20051 Great question ! I had to get it online. I believe it was on EBay. Since I had the correct part number, I was sure it was the right part. I couldn’t find it anywhere else.
@@cogiccowboy3168 I just notice luckily that that hose in my car has a leak 😳
Does it work in water?
My Scion did the same thing with a parts store part… inns have to try oem
own two camry. both made same noise after replacing pvc valves. been searching for a long time until saw your video. went change old one back in, noise was gone. amazing thanks
The fix for the handle issue I took one of those pins with a cotter pin and drilled a hole through the center and now it works good
@@grimmako4879 Lol. That’s exactly what I did !
Yup, it just happened to me too! For the first time though! I've bought several of them in the past for other cars I've owned and I never had any problems with them until now.
How many miles are on your 2002? I have 250,000 with no noticeable oil burning. I love how it rides, very comfortable and good in the snow. I'm hoping to hit the 300k club if I'm lucky.
I’ll buy it from you ! LOL ! That’s great to hear. Unfortunately that’s not the normal reputation I have personally heard from owners. But that’s very encouraging and I definitely believe that how a person treats and maintains their vehicle makes a huge difference. I hope you reach your goal and more ! Blessings !
Dealing with the oil consumption right now. It’s every month now. The car hesitates at 3krpm. A/C is destroyed

Thanks. This was a great video. I just experienced this this afternoon and I’m going to use dealer parts.
Amen Praise God
I agree it does work well! I'm enjoying mine I just need to get around to buying a pinpionter thanks for the video
ATTENTION URGENT: I have a 2001 Honda crv, it randomly turns off ( no power steering ) (AC LIGHTS, WIPERS, RADIO AND WINDOW STILL WORK AFTER DYING OUT) I changed the battery (didn’t help) I changed the alternator ( didn’t help ) I’m gonna try the distributor next, has anyone seen or had this problem with their own and if so what was the fix?????
I haven't but can you get a scan tool or have you tried that first
@@EndTheIMF after this I swapped the distributor and main relay, I’m almost certain it was the distributor
ruclips.net/video/yn73Rnl0SxI/видео.htmlfeature=shared I was thinking loose wire/ electrical problem. You probably already looked up this video but just in case you havnt there's the link above. you may need a multimeter and trouble shoot. Maybe a fuse. Don't think it's an actual part that going bad more of wire, terminal/contacts (wire connections), fuse. Not professional advice what so ever. Just brain storming
ruclips.net/video/bp2E5KdIvGw/видео.htmlfeature=shared Use a multiple meter on everything (trouble shoot) everywhere on the car. There's sensors too you can use a multi meter on. You just have to learn how to use a multi meter doesn't take too much time. Just have to make sure it's set on the right unit of measure. You would be testing under DC (direct current) most of the time. just depends how much time you want to because it sounds like you have a unique problem, and it's going to be hard to locate the problem
I have a 2002 CRV, blue smoke in the exhaust, oil in the exhaust and a lot of gasoline consumption, could this valve be PVC?
PCV - Positive Crankcase Ventilation Replacement should be a relatively inexpensive try depending on who does the work. But blue smoke is usually an indication of a much larger problem. Two suggestions I have; 1) Pay the Honda dealer their “$75 per incident” and get their diagnosis. Even if the news is bad, at least you know. 2) Consider getting a compression test on your cylinders. But that may cost as much as the other. If you continue researching these old CRVs, you will probably find that this is a very common problem. As for the gas consumption, the old “All Track” versions are notorious for gas milage around 20mpg.
@@cogiccowboy3168In this case is it possible to use an additive that reduces smoke emission? It is not recommended
@@rich-nn9on While that is an option, they can also have negative affects. I suggest you get a professional diagnosis to determine the severity of the problem and doing further research before using additives. My car was not maintained well at all by the previous owner. What I did was changed my PCV valve and my air filter then changed my oil often. I actually changed the oil and oil filter as soon as it got dirty. So I probably changed my oil 5 or 6 times in two years. But I did it myself and used Walmart brand oil. My car still burns too much oil but it doesn’t smoke as much as it used to. I still change my oil when I notice it getting dirty but it doesn’t get dirty as often since the inside of the engine is much cleaner now.
@@rich-nn9onTry Valvoline Restore and Protect to dissolve muck out of the oil control rings. Then try going up from XW-20 to 5W-30. The only anti-smoking additive I trust is Engine Restore with CSL in the shiny silver can. It has stopped oil consumption cold in lawnmower engines I've seen it used on.
After oil change. Per Operators manual: Fresh oil and filter of proper type.
Whats the code
SOLVED: I live off of a long, gravel road. It turns out there was something small caught in the wheel brake area. I first sprayed all the wheels with water but that didn’t work. Next, I removed the wheel, inspected the area and put it back on, checking all the lug nuts but that didn’t work. I took the wheel off again and inspected and cleaned the brakes, rotor and dust cover area more thoroughly. I put the wheel back on and the noise disappeared. I drove it over 200 miles afterwards with no no noise at all.
Uneven brake rotor or uneven brake pad wear. Remove tire and check rotation.
I had the same problem. Thing is, I'd parked it for 3 years due to overheating. By the time i got around to fixing the cooling system, I'd forgotten all about the new pcv. I almost scrapped it as i thought the valves were clattering or the vvt sprocket or guides was about to throw the chain cause it is a little worn out. Finally realized what was going on, old one back in, noise gone! Fixed the overheating last night. Still needs work, probably does need some stuff rebuilt. But not ready to scrap it just yet after figuring out this whole debacle. Such an awful noise for a simple $15 part!
Thank you and GOD BLESS you also
I have been searching for this answer for so long!! Thank you!
What roof rack is that.?
It’s an old Yakina Tower Roof Rack set but with the OEM bases that are specific to that year CRV. I got them from EBay as I couldn’t find them anywhere else.
Thanks. Do you happen to know what Code they found to say it’s the faulty coil which caused the stumbling and hesitation?
I don’t recall the actual code. I recall that each coil has its own code. I only had one go bad but replaced all four. In hindsight, I would now just replace the one bad one with an OEM (Honda) coil instead of what I did - replacing all four with aftermarket coils.
thank you so much wasnt going to buy the car but i felt like it was somthing simple bc i have heard a lot of things come from a motor and this one was new to me talked him down 2k bc of it
VIEWERS READ THIS: There is TWO vtc/vtec parts which have screens on them, and an additional screen that people most commonly disregard on the FRONT of the engine -On the back left / top of the engine theres the vtec solenoid assembly with the screen on there. when this clogs, youll shoot codes. 3x 10mm bolts. NO POWER TOOLS. THEYLL BREAK!!!!!!! -There is a vtc with a bunch of small screens (looks like a small COILPACK) on the left side of the head when looking at it from the front (requires jacking up left side of engine to remove) -there is an oil screen which commonly clogs and rips from pressure on the FRONT left of the engine under the head, (looks like a 1.5" square) directly behind your power steering pump in the front
Thanks for sharing I’m driving to work in my 01 Honda crv and it is hesitation and jerking while accelerating
Suggestion: If possible, drive it to a close auto-parts store and ask them to check for “engine codes”. That may help give you direction on where to look first.
I just changed mine and after I changed it its starting to make that sound you guys think it's a bad part and I should order another one ?
Did you get the part from the Toyota dealer ? (OEM - original equipment manufacturer.) That was the only one that works in my Camry.
Come here just to say OEM ignition coils did help my CRV 02
Did you get it out without taling off subframe?
Yes. But it was tricky. I had it up on a lift. I would not have tried it on the ground or using a car jack. Reaching bolts above the exhaust and frame was difficult and took patience. And wrangling the old pipe out and the new pipe in was also challenging. It took at least an hour even on a lift.
Thanks for info
Harbour freight nine function machine. The handle breaks off. Other than that, I liked mine. Had lots of fun, learned lots too. Now I have a harbour freight Gordon. Good luck. 😊
just experienced exact same problem ... stumbling and lost of power appeared suddenly after stopping at toll booth ... had to continue my journey but I nearly lost all power in bumper to bumper Bangkok traffic ... got home safely but still a stress-fest .. praise and thank God for His blessing
Thank God for His grace and mercy !
Thank you this is my problem! I thought my valve train was taking a crap.
Same, I almost gave up on her. She's got 200K & slight metal shavings in the oil & had overheating issues. Soon as I realized the pcv valve was the noise, I moved forward with other repairs. Sounds like a normal DI engine now, & now I've fixed the thermostat & cooling system issues & she ran for 30 mins no incident. This poor girl has been parked for 3-4 years over a pcv valve & thermostat. 😂
Thank you! My Toyota is doing the same thing. I thought it was a static noise.
I set sheds in Florida dig holes for earth anchors great auger but I buy premixed gas and oil
Really need to sort your engine out pal. PCV or not shouldn't sound like that.
The sound was the ball in the incompatible PCV valve. The noise stopped with the OEM part. All is well. Thx.
Aside from that pcv valve, his engine sounds normal to me. All direct injection toyotas make a loud ticking or clacking noise, it's the fuel injectors. They can sound pretty violent.
Just changed mine on my 07 Camry and this happened so I went looking. Glad I found your video! I’ll be ordering an oem now
