Es gibt auch neuere Videos von der Firma. Die erklären diesen entscheidenden Punkt auch nicht. Labern alle nur etwas von einem Winkel der verändert wird und dadurch für eine andere Übersetzung sorgt. Aber wieso und wie der Winkel das bewirkt, scheinen die selber nicht zu wissen. Auf jeden Fall können sie es nicht in allgemeinverständliche Bilder und Wörter übersetzen.

What is the operating temperature range of this ? Wonder how the fluid , necessary for its operation ( not shown here obviously ) , react to very low sub zero temp .

Александр, объясняю: это вариатор с использованием фрикционного механизма. А, следовательно - Г-но! Сложно и ненадежно. Посмотрите в интернете мой вариатор, немецкий патент на который я получил в июле прошлого года: DE 10 2018 007 014. Там нет ни фрикционов ни планетарок, ни сложной электроники. А диапазон плавного изменения скорости составляет 1:12, что вдвое больше, чем у распространенных сегодня CVT-вариаторах (1:6). Мой вариатор подходит и для трактора и для вело!

Könnte man den Freilauf sperren und die Nabe in beide Richtungen belasten, z.B. in einem Fixie.
Ich habe mittlerweile mein stufenlos schaltbares Einrad für das ich diese information gebraucht habe fast fertig umgesetzt. Bei einem Einrad braucht man die Fähigkeit vorwärts und rückwärts zu treten um seine Balance zu halten. Tatsächlich gibt es in der NuVinci Nabe eine Kupplung die nur unter Drehmoment in die normale Tretrichtung Kraft überträgt. Ich hoffe jedoch die Kupplung mit einer Wellenfeder der richtigen Kraft vorspannen zu können um sie so in beide Richtungen zum halten zu bringen. Mein 28“ Downhill Einrad hat hydraulische Magura Felgenbremsen, du musst dir also keine Sorgen um mich machen. Ich besitze drei Rennräder, ein Mountainbike und ein Tandem aber leider kein Fixi. Ich habe die Frage nur zwecks Verständlichkeit so formuliert. Deinen Kommentar habe ich gemeldet. Wenn jemand Bilder Abmessungen oder andere Informationen zum inneren der Nuvinci Nabe braucht stelle ich diese natürlich gern zu Verfügung.

how much torque in could handle? can it use in car or truck?
all this shows is the belt can hold the rider's weight and downward push force on the pedals; pulling a car has nothing to do with anything. how about towing a car with the belt itself instead of that cable? seems like a better test to me.

Ich habe diese "Schaltung" an meinem Fahrrad und bin begeistert. In der Anfahrübersetzung merkt man schon ein wenig das es keine direktübersetzung ist, es fühlt sich etwas weicher an als mit Zahnrädern. Schlupf ist jedoch keiner vorhanden. Einziger Nachteil ist das Gewicht, aber da nicht der leichteste bin macht es mit persönlich nichts aus.

its designed for bikes... soo not much. AKAIK nobody has tried it on an e-bike application as of yet.
Funktionsweise und Konzept als Getriebe allgemein ist ja nicht neu. Interessant für die Anwendung im Fahrrad ist aber 1.: Wirkungsgrad und 2. Lastverhalten (Schlupf). Natürlich neben der Ergonomie, also Komfort. Eine Angabe hierzu wäre interessanter..

warum fährt der "Sportidiot" mit Anhänger rum, wenn er gar kein Kind dabei hat. Auf der anderen Seite gut so. Für solche Sachen sind Kinder nicht gemacht:)
Das Gewicht liegt afaik derzeit bei ca. 4kg. Also noch viel zu schwer! Aber daran kann man arbeiten. Ich denke auch, dass es bei einigen Anwendungen interessant ist.
mittlerweile (2019) konnte das Gewicht fast halbiert werden (NuVinci N380)
4 kg. abspecken!

It's a NuVinci Continuously Variable Transmission(CVT). Notice how, initially, the Red disc is spinning faster than the Blue disc ( 0:02 ). As the person makes the adjustment the Red disc progressively becomes slower as compared to the Blue disc ( 0:28 ).

meandmyevo, i got the nuvinci 330 belt driven with mid engine Bosch performanceline CX rated at 75 Nm torque
