Hello community! I installed i7 2760qm. Everything works ok except one thing. It could be some noise out from drossels i guess, near to button P/0 on the keyboard, not from cpu. How is it critical? If i remember correctly, it wasn't with stock cpu, power supply 90w. Thanks

What's wrong with your tutorial or video is that you didn't go into any real detail in terms of copying the script and replacing it within the parameters. It doesn't tell you a whole lot or enough to confidently be able to do anything after watching it. You should do another thorough step by step tutorial on exactly how to update the Bios.

Where did you buy your I7? I'm from Mexico and find it is really difficult.

It should be noted that the i7-2670qm Doesnt have any of the virtualization and v-pro features the dualcore i5 and i7 does. Which if you use virtualmachines a lot matters. Also the integrated graphics runs 200mhz lower on the quadcore i7.

Mine didn't come with any Bluetooth functionality. Is that normal for a t420?

Im also running dual hard drives through the Msata I have my os and on the hard drive bay I have a 256gb ssd.

My t420 is almost maxed out it has a 1080p screen with controller 16gb ram i7 2760qm blu ray drive plus its the version with the graphics card onboard finally an extended battery and im working on getting a cad card. The only issue im coming across isnt finding the reader but also the card slot for the side is almost impossible to find. I upgraded the wifi card to a wireless N and i upgraded the bluetooth module. But my T420 is pretty much maxed out for every possible combination minus the cad card reader.

Dam so much money for that amount you can get a current thin and light with faster specs

I just did this with both of my T420. Tomorrow I will upgrade my Linux Laptop to 16GB RAM and the remaining bar will go into the Windows laptop so it will have) 8GB. Sounds strange, but I only use Windows occasionally. CPU upgrade, well wait and see...
