Worked like a charm!! Thanks!
Thanks this helped👍🇺🇸
Got it to kick over twice but not running, all I'm seeing is sparks, the starter 8s good the solenoid is good, mechanic says it's the wire, seen Him start it this way but I'm confused, why start twice but not getting the same results as before!
I just replaced the calipers and pads and bled them and had good break pedal and started the engine and pedal went to the floor i don't understand it, 2015 Chevy Silverado 4x4 😢
Merci Joe. Excellent pour les novices et tous les amateurs de mécanique automobile.
Thank you so much! This was my issue too and it fixed the issue with it dying so quick too (from having a bad connection for a while)
Great!
This is my last hope, ive spent way too much goddam money changing everything exactly like you did. One cylinder got changed, which now my hope lies on that one last cylinder leaking
God bless you bro but you talk too much and don't get to the point . Straight to the point please.
Exact same problem on my 1991 F150. Original rear pistons, no leaks at all. But when I slid the boots off, 30 years of rust and brake fluid crud came out. Replaced both pistons and the petal got much stiffer. Having same problem with my 2000 4Runner and good to hear some validation to my theory.
I'll have to check that out.
Maybe there's some resistance on the starter cable, test the cables before you get a new starter for any resistance
Today i changed my brakes and bled them. Fluid is coming through the bleeder soild, no air. Still don't have ANY brake pressure at the pedal. Like absolutely non. I don't see leaks anywhere. Damn car!! Lol
My cylinder was leaking the rubber deal slid off to one side i noticed rust and a drip on inside wheel and drum rusty. Knew i had problem still frustrating though.
Would be nice to know at the outset what exactly you are repairing.
I don’t think I knew what the problem was until I opened it up and found the broken wire. This was my first video.
@@joestoe1610 .... ahhh, I see.
Well you almost had my problem solved, the one I'm working on I did the same routine that you did except this one is 03 zr2 . Replaced the booster twice, master cylinder twice went through 2 gallon brake fluid still no brake pedal when motor is running.
I was having the same exact symptoms with no brakes while engine on. It ended up being the brake caliper guide pins. They were packed with greased up dirt. Would allow the clipper to slide freely. Cleaned up with fresh grease and got my brakes back.
amazing
It's going to get broken by 60% of people who try
Ill try it...god ive been doing thecsame...went trough 3 big bottles of fluid and a new master cyl
Thank you great video
Did you happen to see any brake fluud on the backside wheel hub assembly? Mine is wet there, so maybe that's it. I will try that before replacing the booster. Many thanks:
Yes much easier than replacing the booster. It’s rarely the booster and you can look up tests for that
This defies logic ! The shoe return springs push the wheel cylinder pistons back in....forcing the fluid back up to the master when the master pressure is reduced enough. This means that the hydraulic fluid is under pressure during both travel directions of the wheel cylinder pistons. So there is no way that air could be drawn in. When the brake system is not in use the fluid remains at a neutral pressure within the system. There is no vacuum effect to draw air in
I have the exact same problem in a 94 silverado. Been down all the same avenues. Master cyl, brakes hoses, new calipers. Bled bled and bled and until I watched this video, I didn't think much of all the air I was getting out of the right rear wheel cyl. I thought that was just air still purging from the master cyl swap. I will try a new wheel cyl and def update the results in a couple days. Thank you. Pray this gets it . I'm out of ideas. UPDATE: I teplaced both rear wheel cylinders and it did not help. After more research, ive learned that the abs dump valve may have trapped air that will not bleed and an abs delete will be happening. I hope that works.
Yes, the ABS is often the culprit!
@@joestoe1610 Update to the update. One of the new wheel cyls was sucking air. Not leaking, just sucking air and wouldn't bleed. Had to exchange for another one and that fixed the problem. Although I did delete the abs . Looks cleaner under the hood and don't have to worry about that being an issue in the future.
Well bugger!! I just stumbled into this great video. Unfortunately, I started at the top end and disassembled the handle and tested the leads to and out of the switch.I Continued on to what you did here and found the red wire had pulled out of its connection hole. I pushed the wire back in as far as it would go and applied some gorilla glue to it and let it sit overnight. Next morning, it was all good until I got to the fun part. That is all the bits and pieces in the handle, including the little springs, switch, etc. I so wish I had seen this video first!! I have subscribed here and will check with you before I stub my toe again!! By the way, I had been dreaming up a way to replace the plastic lines with a couple of lengths of stainless steel wire when I discovered the plastic cutters. I installed the one, and what an improvement! Once you get used to not getting the blades into hard surfaces, it works great and the blades last longer. LOL! Now to get that damned top end put back together!!
Thanks! Fixed the problem (much less elegantly than you!) and it's working fine. Hope my wire nut holds up- there wasn't enough room to tape it
Bruh I think this what going with me I have a 94 accent and with one new wheel cylinder right and not very old one on the left side but I put it back after it goes out because of some bad shoe spring .. now I don't now where is the problem with the old or new side I will try to diagnose and reply here if it worked with me
The red wire on my weedeater is detached from the motor. What is the best way to reconnect it? I stripped it and put it back in the hole and it worked, but I don’t know how to get it to stay other than using solder
It pulled completely out of the motor? Yea you could try to melt some solder into the hole around the wire. I haven’t had that problem yet.
Thx bro
Omfg this could be it!! Thank you sooo much!!
I think you are also bleeding wrong. You should suck the fluid from the wheel brake. This is done without the pedal pressed, so it can draw fluid out of the reservoir. If the pedal is pressed no fluid can be sucked out, unless there is a leak, like yours. ( I bet yours would have leaked fluid out if full pressure was applied.) Pumping the pedal full stroke wears the master cylinder. I use a hand pump or a air powered brake bleeder (from HF, when compressed air is available).
Thank you for posting this info.
Thanks man it's a great video. Very informative.❤
Yup
After watching dozens of videos to diagnose the starter on my 2010 F150 I was just not able to verify it was for sure the starter. I remember having to do the screw driver method on an older F150 I had, which saved my ass more than once, but could not remember the process 100%. I used the screw driver method and all I got was the solenoid activating but no starter action. Sucks too because swapping the starter out will be no picnic, but at least I know for sure it needs to be donee.
Been goin thru this for a week. Going to try right now
Can I just twist the wires together and cover with electrical tape?
Yes but they might come apart later on..or never, give it a go!
Thank you for the tips. I was able to fix . In my case there was ton ob debri and hairy strings jammed up. As soon as I cleaned it up, works like new.
spent almost 5 minutes hearing you talk to get to the point. Bet your wife loves you.
Ford F250
04 ranger new master new booster new calipers...when i brake it makes a grinding noise and pulls me to the right 😢
Check you don’t have a stuck caliper or one doing nothing at all. Also clean and lube the slide pins.
My will spin but stop anything to fix it?
Check that no grass or debris is wrapped around the shaft. Check for loose wires at the motor and the switches. Also maybe spray some contact cleaner on the switch contacts.
Hi, I installed a new JEGS brake booster and master cylinder in my 1977 Impala, but I have faced a problem. The brake performs well except sometimes when I push the brake, I lose it and feel the pedal sinking. Why does this happen?
There’s probably a leak somewhere. Check your fluid levels if they are going down.
Thank U So Much U Explain My Problem Perfectly...I Too was going Crazy With This Problem Looked All Over the Internet...But Thanks to U I Really Nailed it..Thank U....MM
Appreciate the Ryobi video. Most Ryobi video cover the bigger model and not this model.
My exact Ryobi model just stopped. Per video, took it apart and the white wire broke exactly as shown. Reconnected using a wire next, reassembled and it started right up. Thanks!
I strapped my cherry picker into the bed of my 1/2 ton pickup. I would use my spring leverage from the spring in the truck to help pull the post out of the ground! It worked really well. I pulled probably sixty post 6” dia to 10” dia out pretty easily!
This is my issue
I used a sky hook
My Ryobi trimmer likes to stop working when I get around a heavily needed trimming area. I take the battery out and place it back in over the course of 5 seconds and it starts to work again until it's under pressure again. Anyone ever experience this problem? I'm thinking maybe battery connections???
My bigger Ryobi trimmer does this sometimes but it’s always because the battery is about dead
@@joestoe1610 I'll try to pay more attention to that. Thx
No post left lol. Could have pulled that with your hands
This is awesome! My husband will have No excuses! Go Joesto! Thank you! Even I can do this!
