you're awesome. best of luck and great installations.
Any hoo, this was a whole lotta yapping
I like how you put it after the filter.! Why do people put if before the filter ? It bugs me . Cuz wouldn't the filter catch the water vapours ?
They only made 400 of these.
Just for safety i think you should wear gloves next time🙂
Very good. Enjoyed watching. How would you wire a honeywell HE365 powered humidifier and smart thermostat (Lennox S40) with built in humidistat to the Lennox SL280UHV control board?
Isn't there any electric heater that will run for like a regular furnace. This 12 hr timmer is not the greatest
I have the same Min fridge. How do you interpret the thermostat dial dot code? Is the single dot the coldest and the 4 dots the warmest or is it the other way around?
Are you able to turn the inside light on and off?
The epa is tue buggest failure agency in our goverment. Their are bought and paid for by juge chemical manufacturers. Theres no authority from the epa they xant even take products off the shelf.
When you push the needle all the way down that happens… I tried those plastic caps that can be used with piecing type valves and also those new valves and my cans are ok. But I will recommend to get a 30lb tank of R134a, that all fashion never fails
Yeah, I had some issues, too. Not sure with the new self sealing tap if your supposed to screw all the way down and then back off a quarter turn or not.
Same happened to me and it's not reliable.
I'm looking at getting one on marketplace too, but I can't find the inner height spec anywhere to see if the drinks I have in mind for it will fit! Can you hit that with a quick tape measure? Thanks!
There's a newer Klein with an ECX (#2 anyway, not #1), they just don't call it that for obvious reasons. 14-Piece Bi-Material Magnetic Multi-bit
You did great brother I’m gonna to fix mines soon thank you
I would have hard piped it
What’s the bit in the Klein stubby please
The Milwaukee 13 in 1 screwdriver has both of those ecx bits included.
Rotherberger Scandinavian tools👍🏻
great thumbnail i thought it was a columbo episode
If I have as forced hot air and i turn heat down when not at work and during sleep, this only works while in heat phase correct? So no humidity during non-heating downtime? Whats the best unit for my kind of set up?
Great video thanks. Can I install reverse like humidifier on return air ? Because my old one is installed in return air duct
Yes you can. I have mine installed on return. It's been a few years, but I think it tells you how to in the install manual.
excellent video
Nice loadout you have there. I have the OT-LC and it's set up perfect for me.
I have a strange set up. I have my gas furnace with my a/c coil in my plenum. Next to that i have a sperate furnace with a water to air exchager for my wood burner. The gas furnace has a return, the radiator takes its air from the basement(no return duct). My questions, how do I install it? Would i go to the duct after the 2 meet up? Being as I want to install the power on the radiator fan motor, how would my pressure switch work with no return duct? Lastly, if i mount it after the 2 meet up, could i somehow wire it to run when either of them turn on?
Hey Code One. Great video. It sure helped me out because mine didn't come with instructions. I guess Quality control took that day off.😊
Wrong
Awesome video! Thank you so much for putting this content out. The instructions for this humidifier are vague and hard to understand, and I’m an experienced DIYer. Without this video I’d probably still be fighting this project.
I installed one last winter. Half of the heater elements failed in less than a year but because I was over a year since actually purchasing the unit there was no warranty. You CANNOT purchase replacement elements, even though it would be a simple fix. This heater is sold under multiple brands with small changes to the control interface. None of them list the spare parts as available. SO basically if something fails you will not likely be able to get it fixed if out of the 1 yr warranty. Very shady dealings. Two thumbs DOWN!
What is the switch on the back for?
That model will accept a wall mount thermostat. Switch labeled as internal or external thermostat.
Thanks for the tips! Very helpfull
Which do you prefer Aprilaire or Honeywell? Looking to install one very soon
So many ads...
Thabk you for this amazing video
These bits probably work well. Startlingly the 4-in-1 valve core also has one side that appears to be an ez-out style bit. For me that still stripped so I had to do this: ruclips.net/video/9WVWnj9GTE4/видео.html
Thanks! Great video!
Is that not a lot of waisted water if u wanted to have the system go for a long time ? Seams like a lot of waist
Great step by step video!!
Thank you!
Mine came with like no accessories weird
Return it, it should.
What if we want to run the blower full-time?
That's fine, there are many people that do exactly that. It helps with preventing stratification, which means it helps keep the whole house at the same temperature and humidity level.
are Condesate Pumps required/necessary? My humidifier is not far from my sump pump, and the Condensate pump, pumps into the sump pit. The condensate pump is pretty loud, and i'd like to run PVC right from the humidifier drain to the sump... that wouldn't be a problem right?
A condensate pump is not necessary. The location of the equipment in this video has no sump pump or drain tile in the floor so it uses the condensate pump. If the condensate pump already drains into the sump then I would run the humidifier line right into it.
@@codeonemechanical thank you for the reply! I actually did all the work today. Shouldn't hear that buzzing pump 2 floors away anymore!!
I watched, was impressed, duplicated what you did, except that I have a welder located beneath that area, and just use that connection to operate heater. Enjoy that swivel idea very much.
Glad I inspired you!
I look at all the tool bag set ups all I have on every job and I do commercial service 6 tools at the most.
That's impressive, I've been wanting to downsize to a smaller bag because this bag is pretty heavy. Might turn it into an install bag instead.
@@codeonemechanicalyh i use it for an install bag and i want to get a smaller bag for service
Yea uhh my garage burnt down smh
Seriously?
Howdy. Ours was installed already in our home. The plastic housing with the water element is on the return plenum and the round pipe enters on the supply, above the evaporator. The humidistat is also located on the return plenum. It seems to be installed backwards. What are your thoughts? Thanks for your time.
They can be installed on either side. Only thing that changes is the tubing going into the pressure switch.
@@codeonemechanical Thanks!
32:48 I’m using the wall transformer how do I wire up the terminal block? Red to red and white at the terminal block? Great video. Thanks for the video and for sharing your experience
That white terminal block needs to receive 24v and ground to energize the solenoid valve, the humidistat interrupts either 24v or ground to open or close the solenoid valve. Hope that helps!
Why you can do the same just running 2 wire to your control board to get 24v. Only need the wall transformer if your humidifier and furnace is stealing the 24v
Elbow deep in bunghole.
Is there a mechanical water valve or automatic valve on the humidifier? How do you shut the water off in the summer ?
The solenoid valve shuts the water off, the fitting I installed on the blue pex water line also has a shutoff valve that can be shut off when not in use.
Thank yoj. I see you inserted the white cables and neutralized the red. Mine was the opposite - red wires inserted and white neutralized. Am i wrong? Coz the humidifier is not working
The color of the wires doesn't matter, it's where they connect to. Double check with the instructions.
