I have a friend who used to live in Mississauga (Ontario, Canada) and he moved up North to Orillia (just North of Barrie) when the population of Mississauga went from mostly 'white' to mostly Indian immigrants (and the crime spiked up). Then he lost his job in Orillia and he moved out to Owen Sound (West of Wasaga Beach) and he's relatively happy there in that small town. I look at him and I was also making plans to move out to Owen Sound, but lately, the Canadian government has been raising the capital gains tax rates so much that now I wonder why would I want to risk all of my investments (stock holdings) in Canada when I could just move down to Panama and pay zero taxes on the exact same stock assets. For someone like me who is now retired, has no job that I need to work at here in Canada, I really should just pick up and move to some other place simply for the tax savings.

I've been using a hair clipper without the add on or whatever it's called since I was 23. I had/have no problems with my hair even though I'm now 32 and I do see a negative difference compared to, say, 5 years ago. My hair is visibly not as dense as it used to be but I don't really care that much because I was clipping it for ages anyway. Yeah, it's not shaving, I still have like less than 1mm of hair but it's almost the same. If anything, as you said, book a trip to Turkey and they'll fix you up. I'm actually Bulgarian, so Turkey is our neighbour, I don't even need a plane to get there. Not only it's MUCH MUCH cheaper doing it yourself (my clipper costs the equivalent of £20, it's 8.5 years old and it's as great as ever), it's actually faster - I don't need to go anywhere, maybe they are not free, maybe they are closed, whatever the reason is. One time, I clipped my hair in 01:30 in the morning just because. As you said, the more you do it the more proficient you become at it and it takes less time. Even when I'm slow, it takes 10 mins. I don't need shampoo, say goodbye to having to wait for your hair to dry up or use a dryer, one move with the towel and your head is dry. No messy hair in the morning, which you have to then shape up somehow otherwise you look like a bum. The only downside is that it gets cold with no hair, so during the colder months it's a big inconvenience if you can't stand wearing a hat.
