1968 mustang fastback 427 ride 2 part B
This is the second part of my video, it was too large to upload so I had to do it in two parts. As in the first video, it's shaky because we took someones advice and rested the camera on the dash to keep it still but the vibration of the car makes it hard to see in places. I apologize for that. We'll do better on the next one.

I posted a video of this car previously but it had some issues with the engine and the way it was running at the time and several people made comments about driving it in that condition. I've since had the 427 tunnel port completely rebuilt by survival motorsports and I wanted to recreate that first video except this time the car is running like it should. I apologize in advance about the quali...

I'm cringing as he is going down the drive way with the rocks bouncing off the lower rocker panel and lower quarter panels. Just thinking about the paint getting chipped . Is giving me anxiety and it's not my car. It's sounds really tuff tho . My favorite car and favorite motor . I would love a restomodded version of this car . Just think with that motor with efi and some suspension work and disc's all the way around . Oh man.

Back in the 70s we had a group of guys with their hot rods hang out in the library parking lot and we're all standing there talking to one another and we hear this deep Rumble and this beautiful Mustang Fastback pulls into the lot and the closer it gets we see an elderly woman driving the car and when she stopped we asked if we could look at the motor it was a 427 dual quad she stated that it was her son's car and she only drove it to library and to get groceries unbelievable Wicked car

Wow just a very nice ride for sure. Doug I think you're mistaken in that the Tunnel Port was not an option for the 68. The Medium Riser could be ordered but not the tunnel port to my knowledge. The Tunnel Port was as you know a Nascar motor from Ford. It was never a production motor. Therefore you could not order one. They were supplied to teams like H&M , Woods Bros, some factory backed drag racers Dyno Don, and a few others across the US. Basically the 427 one could order in a Mustang was the same dual quad med riser you could order in the Fairlane, and Comet. In 67 you could order the Cougar GTE but with the 427 hydraulic cam single 4bbl motor in them. Which was really a big bore 390 GT motor. Then in 68 they called it the Eliminator and you get the 428 cj . Ford was never known back then to have a constant way of doing options for cars. Way to go btw ringing its neck up top. Nice to see the car driven for its intended purpose. I cant stand someone who has a nice built car never run the motor over 3600rpm. Why..? If you're not going to do what you did, then buy a late model GT Mustang and put some flow masters on it. Its a disgrace to any muscle car. Drive it hard, break it, and build it again !!

I need to swap out my 289 for a 427 some day. Cant get over the ass end with the standard 3 bar tail lights with the spoiler. Must have. Nice property as well 👍
