My mother swore by Salonpas. She had lung cancer and there was one place under her right shoulder blade that caused her excruciating pain, and she swore that it helped her with her pain. The doctor said it was psychosomatic, but if she believed it helped, continue to use it! She died five weeks after she was diagnosed so she put off seeing a real doctor, using her chiropractor instead. She didn't see a doctor until she was having pneumonia symptoms, which was too late. I started using Salonpas for my lower back pain shortly after that (back in 1985), and I keep them around in my medicine cabinet all the time now! Just make sure you see your doctor for whatever your issues are, to make sure it's nothing terminal, like with my mother.
