That’s perfectly fine! All ships will eventually be available to purchase in game. This technique is to get the most out of their money for people who have already decided they want to support the project.

It is true, there have been major UI updates since this video was released, but all of the same options should still be there.

It does, but the issue here isn’t the wheel, it’s the drivers installed to your computer that convert the wheel signal to something the game can understand

Please try to use the driver versions indicated in the video to fix your problem. If you use the most recent drivers with Forza than it likely will introduce the freezing and crashing

Year after year CIG just keep on nerfing all types of ships and when that happens and they become much less efficient or apealing to me (and many others) so I like to have the option and ability to melt any of my ships and purchase something else instead of being stuck losing $600USD. It may not mean much to some but this $600USD ship actually cost me $950CAD. If you're rich and can afford it then I'm really happy for you but it isn't my case. Hope this answer brings some clarification as to the reason why. Btw, I did buy another Carrack but now I at least have the option to keep or melt it if it turns into a flying turd or if I so desire. This is a great question. If I am honest, I am not 100% sure, but I think your guess of using store credits could be entirely possible. Sorry for not having a more definitive answer on this topic.

@@lonnixlethe I test it by myself and it looks that when you invest once real money, you do not need to pay tax again. You only pay according tax for ammout of new real money invested.

To the best of my knowledge, game packages can only be purchased with base hulls. This means you if you did melt your game package and apply it to a referral ship, you wouldn't be able to access the game. Instead, I'd recommend keeping your base package and upgrading your referral ship to the ship you want, because referral ships typically have LTI. I know this way costs more, but it ensures you can still access the game because you will own a game package.

I don't have a DD Pro so can't test it, but as long as it's compatible with the older version of the software then I imagine it would work. Sorry for not being able to provide a more definitive answer on the topic.

There are a few hoops, certainly. However, another way to look at it is that they are rewarding their fans for being loyal by providing small discounts in regular time intervals for staying active in the project. Not saying this is a right or wrong way to do it; just a different perspective.

If you buy the upgrade with a CCU it will persist across wipes. Only ships purchased in game with aUEC will get wiped.

You are correct. In this video's example I am using a LTI ship from a referral bonus. Because it is a referral bonus, it is not gift-able.

This should be completely doable! As a matter of fact, I believe I have outlined the process in my video here: studio.ruclips.net/user/videosgryepkqpts/edit A few things to keep in mind, you may need to wait 30 days before you can transfer your game package from your secondary account to your main account. Also, once you transfer the secondary account's game package, it will then be bound to your primary account because that will use its ability to be gifted one time. However, this likely won't be an issue if you plan to melt. You won't be able to transfer the free referral ship from your secondary account to your main account because referral bonuses can't be gifted. Glad you figured it out! Yeah, the targeting system can be quite finicky.

Because the corsair is less than the MSR ($250 < $260), if you've applied the Mercury CCU then won't be able to get a CCU from the MSR to the corsair. In this case, you would need to melt the Mercury and put the funds towards a new chain for the Drake Corsair. If you've been buying war bond CCUs for the Mercury, this approach is not advisable because you will lose the warbond discounts you've acquired. Alternatively, If you haven't yet applied the CCUs, you can instead update your chain so that the Corsair is a link on the way to the MSR. If you already have a warbond CCU to the MSR, you probably wouldn't be able to use it any longer because the value would be less than Corsair, but this would only be one link in the chain. Only during certain times of year ships will go on sale. When they are on sale they will get a ‘warbond’ discount. We just passed the IAE sale in November. The next sale will be the ILW in May I believe. When these sales occur, you will be able to locate the discounted warbond prices

Rn thats becayse the only wb items are corsair, cutter and c8r so any time I go to make a chain it uses those and then theres a huge jump to the target ship. I’m personally waiting for vulture to be released. Once it does I’ll run the chain again. Btw the wb sales rn are till 10th january. Hopefully by then vulture will be released and I’ll see if buying the cutter and c8r works out.

This is true. To get more than $5-$10, you will need to refresh your chain each time ships go on sale. The tool only tells you the discounts based on what is on sale at the time when you are setting up or refreshing your chain

@@lonnixlethe i also created my own path to have an idea on what I’m going to buy. Going to use it together with CCUGame but I already bought some upgrades due to WB sales on corsair and c8r pisces. I know I’m asking a lot but would you mind taking a quick lool at it and telling me what you think? I managed to lower price of 600i explorer from 475 to 145 (tax not included). Frankly, I think it’s impossible cause most ships are not in store and ofc WB sales and prices may chance. I also have about 45usd store credit which I could use to fill in any gaps where the ship can’t be purchased due to some reason or another.

Please keep in mind that you only need a starter ship to play the game. Eventually every ship becomes available with in game currency. This is where I would recommend everyone starts. This method is for people who really enjoy the game and want to support the project by pledging additional funds, but also want to maximize their pledge rewards in the process.

Glad to hear you figured out. However, exchanging ships doesn’t modify your locally installed game files. This was probably a coincide that game file corruption occurred right when you tried to do an exchange

So you can get ships heavily discounted! I’ve seen some CCU chains with up to a 68% discount using this technique!

Warbond upgrades are not always available when the warbond base hull is for sale. I’d recommend keeping an eye out during IAE for more warbond sales as this is when they are most widely available

Ok, I found out the RSI login is automatic, so no button needed. What breaks it for me is that my VPN blocks it. As soon as I turn off my VPN this starts working.

I have used it first time today. For me it worked, I have the automated Browser Login active for the RSI Website. Alternatively, login to RSI Website in a second Tab.

Hi, you should always only buy the cheapest possible CCU available. So you may have purchased a Warlock to Cutty Black CCU for 5$ being worth 15 and a Hurricane to Banu Defender CCU for 5$ worth 25. Now the goal is to wait for future sales and to see and fill that 95$ gap between Cutty Black and Hurricane with another discounted CCU. A CCU gamers dream would be a discounted Hurricane: you buy e.g. Cutty Blue to Hurricane for 5 worth 20 and then try to wait for another discount to close the still existing gap from 100 to 175.

Hi, I am Late for your decision making on the Warlock, but maybe I can help for IAE 2952: If you buy the Warlock directly as Standalone Ship (WB or Not WB) you can fly it in game. If you ONLY buy the cheapest possible Upgrade to the Warlock, then you cannot because you do not have a full ship. If you wish to maximise savings you should buy only the cheapest possible upgrade to the warlock and wait for Future sales with more and other WB discounts. It is possible to find even several discounted CCUs before the Warlock so you can get a bigger total discount.

Only thing I would emphasized from reby100’s awesome response is that if you buy a ship as part of a chain (talking about upgrades, not the base hull) you won’t be able to use them until they are applied. For some of the lower cost upgrades, you could apply them to the base hull so they are usable while still building out the top end of your chain. However, as reby1000 mentioned, once you’ve applied an upgrade, you can no longer apply discounts below the value of the applied ship upgrade which could limit your total savings.
