    This was so helpful Matthias. I’m gradually making progress and your videos give continued encouragement. Allowing sensations/emotions to just happen is so important for recovery but it is challenging as I find I have a natural urge to fix & control things as I’ve been taught to do previously in life, work etc. I will continue to practice to accept, allow and float through it 🙏

What we're also learning is seeing things through a new lense. With time and some patience this process is leading to more inner wisdom, self respect and strength.

    Auch ich sage Danke für diese so wertvolle Beschreibung. Ich bin schon lange in dieser Episode mit chronischen Schmerzen und leide schon seit über 20 Jahren und bin jetzt auch dabei, sie auf diese art und Weise zu besänftigen, aber ich brauche weiterhin viel Geduld und Vertrauen. Aber deine Worte haben mir gezeigt, dass ich auf dem richtigen Weg bin. DANKE

      @@MPStigs I hear you! Being scared of becoming bedbound is still a form of anxiety. It's paradoxically works like this. When you start to loose this fear, you will not crash anymore. Some setbacks, yes for sure, but definitely not back to square 1. That's why it's so important to address the anxiety first. Does it make sense?

      @@MPStigs First of all it's hard to say something specific, because I don't know your background. In general there are two general standpoints about pacing. Some believe pacing is the most important thing. But it can also cause more anxiety...what if this walk was too long? What if I went to bed too late? These what if's can cause so much more anxiety. It's really important to detect the limiting thought patterns, because otherwise pacing can keep you stuck and keep your world small. I was bedbound for a few months at a certain point I decided to add all sorts of activities, slow but steady. I had more symptoms and anxiety, that was expected. I had some rough periods, but I never came back to bedbound, crash or however you call it. The main point was that I lost a general fear to fall back to square 1. It's all about mindset. I hope this helps.

    I practice the "take it slow- technique" when doing my grocery shopping. These busy sometimes chaotic loud places become more managable this way.

    Thankyou so much for this video Matthias. I have been making progress with this work but still having quite a few setbacks when under emotional stress. This video was really soothing and reminded me these setbacks are a part of recovery. Hopefully the sensitisation will decrease with time & practice Sending lots of positive thoughts to you ❤

    Thankyou Matthias It was helpful to hear your personal experience of adding new activities I am making gradual progress on this journey. My sensations do increase as I add new activities and I am trying to practice accepting them and ‘floating’ through them as Claire Weekes would say. This is not easy so your video was a great reminder to be brave and willing to experience these symptoms Thanks for the reminder about mindset and engaging in things for enjoyment rather than just pushing through Lovely to hear you spent some time in nature 🌞

      I also do some meditation in the afternoon. I use a guided belly breathing meditation. It’s very simple and relaxing. It helps me slow down a little as I have a tendency to push through symptoms and feel like I’m on high alert

      @@ConsciousGrowing oh I’m the same! I joined a year ago but have just started to make some progress now as I’ve integrated polyvagal theory and somatics and brain retrain with EFT! It feels more natural and i enjoy it more than the ART rounds (they stressed me out a bit tbh). That said, Gupta was a great entry to the mind body world! What about you?

    So happy to see a new video from you Matthias! I agree with you 100%. Everything you say is exactly my belief about anxiety. You are absolutely correct. I’m about 6 months into therapy for my severe anxiety and have made great progress. But there is so much more. And you are so right - when it hits, it can be incredibly painful and difficult. Those who have never experienced this kind of anxiety don’t always understand how challenging it is. It has been the hardest challenge I’ve ever faced (and I’ve had 2 near death experiences not involving anxiety). I am happy you are going to focus more on anxiety because I agree with you - I believe it’s the key to understanding soooo much of what is challenging so many of us. Great video and I agree with you 100% and feel you 100%! ❤

    Great to see you. Thanks for talking about the severity of symptoms and getting stuck in the fear cycle. I know all this so well but I still get lost when my brain decides to heighten even when I am in my home. I am still working out how to not be scared and trying to live life .     Die letzten 4 Jahre haben sehr vielen in diesem Land zugesetzt! Du sprichst von Symptomen, ohne sie zu benennen! Wenn es sich um Folgen der Impfung handelt würde ich mich im Intenet über Ausleitung informieren. Wenn es die Psyche ist, würde ich vorschlagen es mit regelmäßiger Bewegungen draußen zu versuchen , wie Fahrradfahren! Die Ernährung ist wichtig! Gibt gute Videos auf RUclips! Intervallfasten ist ein Anfang und danach sind auch 4 Wochen fasten möglich! Soll jede Krankheit heilen, wenn du es richtig machst !

Ernährung spielt sicherlich auch eine Rolle. Natürlich habe ich in meinem Prozess auch darauf geachtet. Ich sehe mich mittlerweile als genesen, trotzdem vielen Dank für Deine Tipps.

    Thankyou Matthias. This was a really helpful, intelligent video especially the reminder about acceptance. You have such a good understanding of what it is like to experience this journey and the thoughts that can arise such as ‘l don’t feel like myself anymore’. It is great to know you have improved so much using this approach and it gives me hope that recovery from fear is possible ❤

      There's certainly a way out. It really depends what's the deepest inner wish. I mean there are some treatments out there, that show how to cope with anxiety or some techniques to reduce anxiety. The other path is to go all the way. For this we need someone who went through it. Otherwise we're like being in a boat without a paddle. Sending you much love❤

But I believe it's an act of self care to look out for help, when you felt overwhelmed before. As long as you feel it's supportive and you're moving forward, it's a good choice anyways.     Wonderful video, as always, Matthias. I have been feeling lost for a while now and I decided to re-read Claire Weekes' Hope and Help For Your Nerves. You express many of her concepts in your own words, and they are always things I need to hear. I have a tendency to make this process complicated, when in reality it's quite simple - just not easy!     Thankyou Matthias This was another helpful reminder to accept and not fight the symptoms. I am getting better at letting the symptoms just wander when they flare up rather than trying to fix them. I also find your voice and accent very calming which is important for me.     Vagusnervübungen und Übungen aus dem Somatic Experiencing zum regulieren des Nervensystem sind extrem hilfreich. Dazu gibt es zahlreiche Videos auf RUclips. Für mich war das der Schlüssel um mein Nervensystem wieder in die Balance zu bringen und die Symptome verschwinden immer mehr. Auch "TRE" (den Stress/die Übererregung abzittern) ist äußerst hilfreich. Danke für deine Videos und alles Liebe

    I expirence that this Claire Weekes process is very straightforward and powerful. Nevertheless it's still needs time to implement. From here standpoint the best opportunity to retrain the brain is, when symptoms are high. It means to face them, not running away from them/ or letting them them be there, when we are active. Then accepting them(incl. your thoughts around them, but not putting more fuel on the fire), then floating through them and also to give these sensations any time in the world to be there. That's all challenging of course and needs practice. But the practice happens when the symptoms are there. This is the way resilience is build up. Just keep going❤
