My Therapist just showed me this video. And almost immediately, it made me cry. Not in a sobbing dramatic kind of way, but as if all my emotions have burst forward. There were many leaves. It felt peaceful. I havent felt peace in a long, long time.

I'm currently working with my counselor and the prep work for EMDR. In the prep, I had to come up with a "safe" space I could go to. Basically, what I imagine, is based on this. So, once again, Thank you!

I keep coming back to this one. I've been asked to do some guided visualization meditations. Your voice is very soothing. I like the extra touch of the soft sound of the waves and even the seagulls when you mention them. It really helps me to be present on the beach. Very relaxing and healing. THANK YOU!

Hello Dr. Andrews, I feel uncomfortable with the speed of the stream. It feels too fast and overstimulating. I put that on a leaf but couldn't quite shake it and noticed I was breathing heavy and was anxious by the end of it. It's very interesting being able to find something that revs up my anxiety like that and I'm looking forward to repeating this practice until I am comfortable with the speed of the stream. Thank you.
Hi there! Thanks for sharing your experience of this meditation with me. It’s okay to feel uncomfortable and it might take some getting used to at first. Thoughts and feelings will come to you during the meditation and that’s okay. The goal is to be able to let those thoughts and feelings come and go, without judgment of yourself for having those thoughts and feelings or labeling them as good or bad; our thoughts are just thoughts, and our feelings are usually valid (natural emotions, that is; manufactured emotions are another story 😅). I love the fact that you tried though, and the effort was there. Good insight on your own experience! I’m curious, have you repeated this meditation yet, and if so, how did it go?
