I have copd & moderate emphysema I quit smoking on July 10,2020.I had cat scan done n April & found nodule (spot) on lower right lung I had 2 wait until Oct.2 find out if this spot was growing..Guess what?? I'm stable Glory 2 God..NO CANCER!! I as a smoker over 40yrs.so if u smoke plz.quit you'll b glad u did if u don't quit stay active as u can but I'd quit very soon.Copd is no joke.I was told I had it 10yrs.ago & wish I had quit smoking then.I got pneumonia & lost all oxygen.I took a trip n ambulance 4 the 1st time n my life on the way 2 ER stayed n ICU 4 almost a wk.all those ppl.saved my life it was soo rough so plz.get some help 2 quit smoking.I'm so serious u won't go thru this like I did quit b4 it's 2 late.God Bless u all.

Can the complication called pulmonary fibrosis happen with bronchiectasis?

Almost non of the meds have helped me. I tried theophylline and that did help me space out how often I needed my rescue inhaler. I liked it but my lung doc didn't and took me off it. I wanted to remain on it as long as it was working.

My immune system attacked the nerves that move my bowles. i am currently on a medicine that suppresses my immune system and it is working perfectly. Mestinon is part of the treatment. Has anybody out there ever heard another case like mine? it is seemingly very rare.

My husband died from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis 2.4 years after diagnosis. Rarely do comments stay on when this is being talked about my husband was diagnosed at age 77 other wise healthy man. Lung transplant was not an option. He could not take the meds. Made him very sick and his kidneys and liver took a hit. His disease stair stepped then plunged quickly. I recommend asking your dr about palliative care. They were amazing for those 2 years. Hugs to all that have it and their caregivers

I have been suffering from MND 14 years, i was diagnosed 36now I am 50 , now I can walk 1 kilometre without any difficulty , I can't climb stairs , I never used more medication, I am recovering I can do everything by own, exercise and balance diet now I am fit , I can play badminton upto 10 minutes, I am from India, confidence and self belief are my weapons, I used blood pressure medication for 12 years now my blood pressure is normal for last 2 years, slowly but surely I am getting strength in muscles, if anyone wants suggestions I will give you my own experience , take a balance diet

my relative was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer in 2023. he recovered after series of chemotherapy. only to be diagnosed now with pulmonary fibrosis because of series of sessions of radiation therapy that the oncologist suggested to remove the remaining 2cm tumor…. we are so heartbroken. what should we do 😢

After many tests and a bronchoscopy, I was diagnosed with bronchiectasis four years ago. The cause isn't known and I've never smoked. I manage it well but I certainly know if I get an exacerbation.
