Take a look at the @:38 mark. If you open the wheel you can use much more throttle and increase the radius of the turn (7) that leads on to the longest straight in that sequence. The end of the outside curb is a good visual. The car might not get that wide based on style of driving but the reward is huge. This will allow you to use the throttle earlier out of turn 7 and you get to carry that speed all the way to max speed or your next braking zone whichever comes first. If you worry about adding throttle in a turn you can just curl your toes in your shoes and that will increase the pressure on the pedal ever so slightly allowing you to go closer to the edge and still manage any slip. Nice lap!
What was the exhaust setup here? It sounds great!
This was when I had a high flow cat put into the stock midpipe going to a Remus catback.

Thanks! The redline was set at 7000rpm, catback was a Remus with a custom high flow cat.
@@spidertri That's good to know! Planning to do something similar to my 318i. How does the car feel compared to stock? It definitely sounds better than stock!
@@AhA69 The tune really made a nice difference. Probably not a lot more peak hp but it filled out the power band and was definitely noticeable right away.

does the z3 catback bolt right up?
I have a build thread on 318ti.org with pictures but I cut the stock M52 midpipe a bit shorter and then used exhaust pipe adapters and exhaust clamps to bolt the Z3 exhaust up. The subframe hanger needs to be swapped for one from a Z3 and the Z3 rubber hangers are better than the stock ti hangers.

Matt Huffman the tires are awesome. Admittedly I haven't been to the track as much in the last couple years but I love how predictable they are. When they go off it's nothing catastrophic, just obvious that there isn't as much grip. Back off for a lap and they are ready to push again. I'll probably move to a 225/45-15 for my next set though.
