Had a 1970 98 with 455 390hp. Would do 60-70mph in low 1st gear automatic. Was over 100mph at end of 2nd gear then hit drive and float. It ate vettes for breakfast and with me driving never lost a race against some serious cars back in the mid 80s.

Well, if it's an original engine, it's not a 350. It would either be a 330 V8 or a 400 V8. Most likely a 330, since that is what most of these cars came with. If you think this is a big car, this isn't even a full sized car. It's the smallest Oldsmobile you could get in 1965. The 88 and 98 were much bigger cars than this - and most people drove full sized cars at the time.

I had a 65 f85 but not a cutlass, more rare. Aluminum block V6, drive all day, put your hand on the radiator and not be burned, cool as a cucumber.

We had a 57 Cadillac Biaritz...the one that sloped down in the back. Loved that car... And I love this beauty too!

My great Grandpa had one almost identical. Same exact color, only it was a hardtop, not a post coupe. But it had a perfect white interior. No air con, had the spinner spoke hubcaps though. It had tilt steering with a special wood grain steering wheel. 330 4 barrel, vacuum power trunk release. I Remember everything about that car. 🙂

My first car- but I had a 4 door. I paid $300 for it in 1976. The interior was beautiful. Unfortunately it was prone to overheating in Southern California and I killed it.

I picked up a ‘65 442 back in 1994 when I got out of the service for $4,250. It’s number matching on the motor (400cid) but it came with a automatic (has a 4 speed M21 Muncie now). Talk about gobs of torque!!! (The 400 in the 442 that year are a de-stroked 425 basically) First year for the BB, 2nd year for the 442. 64’s only had 330’s, no BB that year, just the BO9 Police Interceptor package on them (442 was the other name) I love that flucking thing!!!

Watch the video again, nice car but the original engine is gold in color and a 330 not a 350 which came out a few years later and your original interior has a column shift dash but the car has a console shifter! meaning not a original console shift car. Just saying but again a nice car.

In 1983 I help my parents make the move from Buffalo New York, to Phoenix, Arizona. I decided to look for a car instead of spending money on airfare. I found a 1965 old F 85 with 48,000 miles. The old timer with a cigar in his mouth handed me a white owl, cigar box, full of receipts for all the Maintenance done on the car. It was Immaculate and it was a four-door. I gladly paid him his asking price of $700 and Showed him my appreciation when I returned With a box of white owl cigars. I will never forget the smile on that all timers face because he didn’t want to sell the car, but had to because of his health And I Gave him my word I would give her a good home 🏡.

I got a 65 f-85 in almost as good of shape. I’d love some touch ups on it…
