What exhaust system are you running?
At this time I was running a full custom 3” downpipe & midpipe to the Greddy Revolution RS catback with resonator
@ dang that sounds pretty good tbh man
What ECU and harness you running?
Looks sick!
What engine harness are you using?
Custom harness by tweaked performance
Bolted exhaust joints suck. V-bands are the way to do it. Unfortunately, you basically have to sacrifice the goodness of having a divided turbine housing. Very few divided v-band housings out there and zero off-the-shelf manifolds.
You said your G35-1050 (68/68) with divided 1.06 T4 housing spooled really slow. Do you know what RPM you would be at wastegated boost pressure? How about now with the undivided 0.83 housing? Mine currently has an old 69/64, a log manifold with undivided 0.68 T4 housing - it's on the wastegate by about 3700*rpm, depending on what gear it's in and the rpm it was at when you hit the throttle. Response is good but it chokes hard at 5500*rpm. I'mma upgrade to an EFR 8374 (62/64) and I'm trying to decide between Artec with divided T4 and the open V-band unit you chose. Also trying to decide between 0.83 A/R and 1.05 housings. Looking to match or improve on existing response - but avoid high rpm choking...should unlock about 100*whp.
How much has it costed you to get up to 400 hp ?
What turbo kit are you running?
What turbo kit you running trying to find one for the jz thats going in my mk3 supra
I have a rebuilt Na 2j with 25k miles are you pushing 450 rn on stock pistons and rods ?
Yeah that’s like the limit, if you don’t wanna push it too much I’d stay at 400 max & you’ll get your moneys worth out of that engine as long as you don’t completely dog the car
Looks really good.
A haltech and sleeper don’t go together brother🤣
you don’t need a GTE block for 800hp. The GE can do those numbers no problem…in fact you don’t even need a GTE block for pass 1000hp.
Yeah I know I bought it because there’s no point in building a piston/rod engine unless you are going for 1000whp+ with billet main caps. Both blocks are good for 1500, just figured id get this one since it’s a full brand new assembled long block
Sounds so good. I looking forward to getting this manifold how it’s going to sound with a greddy SP I currently have on.
Nice setup. What made you go with the Haltech vs any other ECU? I was looking at the 7'' BTI screen that slides into the OEM Navigation unit vs having it in the cluster. Please let me know your thoughts on this. Thanks
@@htrspsupra2102 Thanks. My friend recommended it and had it in one of his car, and my tuner likes Haltech the best out of all ECUs, & I got it brand new local for under retail so it just made sense. And I got the iC7 because it just works better with the Haltech ECU. And I got the iC7 because I like how everything is centered right in front of you, instead of having to look at the OEM cluster then look to the right at the BTI and it would be harder to focus on both in my opinion. But it is cool how you can put it in the factory navigation unit.. just not too sure if the BTI has as good screen resolution as the iC7. And Haltech is consistently coming out with updates every month almost to make things easier.
@@TheIS300Kid Thanks for the reply and I honestly don't blame you at all for going with the Haltech. A few of my buddies run the 2500 Elite and swear by it. I'm familiar with BTI and that's why I was leaning towards that. I was considering removing the OEM cluster and doing something similar as your setup. You've done a great job on your build and I'm going a similar route with a new GTE short block.
Check out my other video of me picking up my brand new GTE block from Toyota! That will be matched with this built head. ruclips.net/video/tSeapwyoDqw/видео.htmlsi=uTWVJVEoepi1uzeg
How do I even order a brand new gte block from Toyota
@@JermJermFloresCall your local Toyota dealership or go online on their website, they’re probably having a Black Friday sale on them as we speak
Sounds nice I like it
what exhaust manifold you had in this video. (before the artec) Was it single or twin scroll? brand?
@@loverboy8476 it was the Supra store single scroll
What exhaust are you running? Sounds mean! I'm still on the stock muffler
Haha yup 3.5” open downpipe for now. I have a Greddy RS for sale that’s a little beat up if you are interested!
@TheIS300Kid I've been looking at the ISR MBSE exhaust that's 3", if I was over in the states I would have took that offer! My torque drops to 250ftlbs at 6100 rpm so I think the muffler is choking it even though I have a 3" downpipe, also have you got your vvti map all the way up to 6000+ to keep the torque up?
@ Nice there you go it will sound nice with a good 3” muffler I liked mine. Yeah that’s what it seems like to me it’s choking up top, but how much power are you making? You should only have that problem if you are making 800+ on a 3” exhaust. Honestly I’m not sure about the last part, all I know is I like having to torque come in later so it’s less stress on the rods. For now atleast haha.
@TheIS300Kid Ah so my torque dips probably because of four things 1. Exhaust restriction going from a 3" downpipe to a 2.25" muffler 2. .63 AR T3 housing 3. VVTI is essentially at 0 degrees at 5000rpm+ on my setup which coincides with the torque drop-off 4. Conservative ignition timing throughout I was just trying to work out where the bottleneck is, making 340-350ftlbs at 10 psi at 4000rpm, but topping out at 328hp
Ohh ok yeah you are definitely choking it up top with the stock muffler in my opinion. I would say just upgrade to that 3” exhaust and your problems should go away. If not ask your tuner, but it really sounds like it’s choking up top like you said, makes sense too.
Man I love your videos straight to the point keep up the good work and let her sing!!

Lmao this comment will age like milk.
Whats the difference between that and a normal cast manifold?
Honestly not too sure, all I know is that this is stainless cast iron, so it’s best of both, and the runners aren’t as small as a log manifold and as big as a tubular manifold so it’s the best of both worlds. And Artec is a good company, they flow test their manifolds and for the price it’s a good deal for sure that’s why I got it, and it’s vband.
The three features that set this manifold apart from anything else available for the GE cylinder head are that it's a hybrid between an individual-runner style "header" and a log. It's sort of in between. Secondly, it's cast from 347 stainless. It won't rust, ever; and it'll hold up to extreme temperatures. Last, it has a v-band connection to the turbo - which is much easier to work with and more compact than a bolted flange, plus it allows for you to clock the turbo into the position you want (limited by your chassis and oil drain line angle). This is by far the nicest GE manifold I've seen on the market. HOWEVER, you do have to sacrifice having a "divided" twin-scroll turbine housing. Obviously this manifold is not divided, plus divided v-band turbine housings are super rare. Artec makes another manifold for the GE head that is divided - but it is a "top mount", has longer runners and uses a more traditional T4 flange. It's quite a bit bigger and heavier. Also requires dual wastegates to truly keep cylinders 1, 2 and 3 fully separated from cylinders 4, 5 and 6.
What intake manifold?
Just an eBay “deep motor”
It is definitely a manifold that I want to get in the future , the Artec 2jzge vband manifold looks good
Nice video, add more details, and or things you had trouble fixing. Makes the videos useable. Looking good tho!
We really ran into no problems installing the new manifold, hardest part was getting the old one off. This was a simple 4 hour turn around. Thanks 👌🏽
I wish there was a side by side of how it sits compared to the other manifold. Would the brake lines still need to be rerouted with this manifold?
this manifold leaves alot of room becuse the runners are short prob best fitment i ever seen in an is300
Thank you bro I will for sure 🙏🏼
Looking good bro, keep em coming
Thank you bro I will for sure 🙏🏼
Link to the manifold?
Can you do a vid on the hard lines for the boost controller
Thanks for the idea yeah I will for sure I have a flare tool for it already too
Hey if I’m running an after market standalone ECM could I just upgrade the fuel pump and fuel injectors? I don’t really want to run a fuel return system. Any way around it ?
Sorry for the late reply. Yeah you don’t need a return system unless you are pushing it past 350hp/8psi I didn’t have a return line until last summer and was running it with the stock rail and haltech for awhile, but with an upgraded fuel pump.
Looking good man! Been at 330 for a while now and looking to get to 400+
When we are gonna get some sound clips?
@@loverboy8476 Subscribe & stay tuned! It’s getting put on the car today and I will have a few videos of install/vlog etc
@TheIS300Kid absolutely. I'm super curious about the sound. It's hard to find any sound clips on yt. Are you planning to direct the wastegate to the exhaust? If not, could you take a few clips just reving the car stationatery so that the pure exhaust sound is audible without the screamer pipe noise.
Hell yeah!
