    I really valued Tom's comments about the Psychedelic plants being part of the immune system of the earth. Most especially he hit on something about reciprocity, that the plants give themselves to us and we as the recipients have a sacred responsibility to carry their wisdom into the world that is in such a deep need for healing.

    Brians' book learned me one thing. Christianity robbed the Ancient World of the Eleusian Mysteries, that made live livable on this planet, as Preatextatus stated. I understand now better why I live an unlivable life in our current Bullshit society. Either we're reclaming the Mysteries in a new way and restore them in full glory, or mankind will go extinct. Thank you both!

    Thank you for this great conversation 🙏❤️ 45:00 I had a similar experience with the dangerous ignorance of US psychiatric profession with my own mental health struggles. I’ve realized that my primary struggle is feeling disconnected from nature and having a tribe. I live in Texas and am hoping to find a better place to live.

    • @lwkaiser
      @lwkaiser Месяц назад

      Thank you for sharing! I think there are more of us out there than we realize who have confronted issues with western psychiatry. It is hard to engage that conversation, be heard and understood, and to have an open minded dialog with current practitioners. We have basically zero scientific understanding of our consciousness in any meaningful sense, and even our scientific understanding of the physical brain is very rudimentary. Psychiatric care and awareness of mental health is in big need of an overhaul and getting back to simpler techniques rooted more in well-being, not just using pharmaceuticals in order to make a patient easier to keep in a cage and "under control". Good luck on your journey, I hope you are able to find community and purpose in Texas, and if not, that you can find a better place to be. Take care

    western medicine does not seem to understand any experience of leaving what is perceived of as mainstream reality, and labels or provides a DX. there is a total denial of spiritual experiences that take one into all kinds of realities and dimensions. But I totally appreciate the honesty and disclosure of your experience. It shows just how powerful these plants can be. As a mental health therapist, I have seen young people have psychotic breaks. Sometimes it is due to over use of the medicine.... or neglect of processing the experience. I enjoyed this interview very much due to Lee's honesty and Paul's gentle way of talking with Lee. Thank you!

    To all those who are causing suffering in this world, directly or indirectly: Heed your dreams at night, those nightmares that you most assuredly are having are imploring you to change -before it’s too late… The quality of our dreams is both a reflection of our thoughts and actions as well as a general foreshadowing of the fate of our souls in the next life...A nightly, temporary karma that beckons us to change - for the good - so as to avoid a more permanent karma❤️‍🔥 Beauty(🌷)+Complexity(🌎) =Intent(❤️) The Figure 8 Analogy: An analogy on life, death, the dream-state and the symbolism intertwined within the human experience. We human beings are not traveling in the abstract motion of a straight line towards death (for instance, the numerical straight line of say 1-89). Instead, we are moving in the motion of a figure 8. The Figure 8 is a natural repeating pattern that is divided into two halves and is thus the perfect symbol to represent the human life cycle and our two primary states of existence that we are continuously moving in and out of -the Awake state and the Dream state. When we awake from sleep we come full circle to when we fall back asleep (represented by the bottom half of the figure 8 )and when we go into the dream state we come full circle to when we awake from the dream state (represented by the top half of the figure 8 ). Upon death; the figure 8 of life untwines, but it’s not the body untwining from the mind that this analogy represents. It's two states of mind untwining to form a larger state of mind (8-0)… Because the awake state is really a state -of mind with our body's physical reality "consciously" intertwined, and the dream-state is also a state of mind with our body's physical reality "subconsciously" intertwined. Therefore; upon death, these two states of mind untwine to form a “larger” state of mind. A state that has all the potentialities of the dream-world (flying, telepathy, psychokinesis, etc) combined with all the actualities of the awake world(nature, form, bonds, etc). This I refer to as the transitional analogy. While conceiving The Figure 8 Analogy, I realized life and death must be perceived -from one point of view- as seperate entities(the transitional analogy(8-0), but must also be perceived -from another point of view- as inseparable entities(the symbolic analogy👇), both of which are ultimately linked by the dream-state. The “Symbolic Analogy” consists of the untwined figure 8 of life/the “circle of death” ( O ) abstractly overlapping the ‘circle of life’ (Earth(🌎)with the overlapping area representing the dreamstate-like the common area in a Venn Diagram-and implies that the dream state is just as much a part of life as is of death (by which explains precognitive dreams, prodromal dreams, "visitations" by deceased relatives, etc) for the dream-state has a foothold in the afterlife; and is based on the premise that “while our body sleeps our dream state symbolically represents the state that awaits upon our body's ultimate rest.” In other words, while we are lying down and sleeping/dreaming, this natural process symbolizes where we go when we're ultimately lying down/dead -to a place like our dream-state...A state "of mind” with our body's physical form+Earthly bonds eternally engrained and intertwined. ✋🏼👁️~8~👁️🤚🏿

    This was absolutely brilliant. Bruce Damer is someone that I feel grateful to virtually meet. His insights into abiogenisis are fascinating, but at some point I was feeling a teleology in what he was saying. I have been through the doors of perception many times. What I saw was that life is an emergent property from the universe itself. We start out with the big bang and we get hydrogen, helium and a little lithium. Given time these simple elements are fused into heavier elements through various super nova. Complexity is conserved. Terrence spoke at length about this process. Carbon is cooked in stars, with it's perfect four covalent bond - what a boon for life. Due to the measurement problem, the problem of consciousness and qualia, I find myself in my seventh decade looking with favor at Panpsychism. At any rate, thank you so much Dennis for this conversation!

    P.D Newman (like Muraresku) has blown the lid off.. I'm totally wowed that the roots of our "western "history" are as psychedelic as it gets, yet we had little idea. This appears to us moderns as a history of disquises for what we now openly discuss.. but it could be that the "pre- scientific" and mostly nonliterate world was already imbued with magic, such that what seems to us as fantastical allegories meant to conceal were in fact rawly descriptive. We meet mantid machine elves, they met angels and demigods. " Invisible College" and Masonic mention are woven into ufology and NASA, so something edgy has been afoot all along, shy to arouse Constantine's sleeping inquisition

    I just listened to this episode over on Spotify and I harve to say it's the best episode of this podcast I've listened to so far - absolutely fascinating on every end! I must say though I'm a little disappointed to see the use of seemingly AI-generated media in your video, and on the website. AI-generated images are a very useful tool, but it really turns a lot of people off in regards to really listening to the (amazingly insightful) things you have to say. I think to promote your message further, maybe you shouldn't make use of these synthetically generated images, just to avoid people getting up in arms about it. Once again, this episode was fantastic - I even sat up to listen for much of it! - and I hope to see Damer again on this podcast soon - what a man!

    Great episode! Lots of food for thought. I love it when you and Chris get together. My only piece of advice: don't artificially limit the conversations! Too many smart folks are seemingly hung up on the idea that a show/podcast can't be more than one hour long. Wrong! They certainly can! We have the attention span and would readily listen to a multi-hour podcast. If you were just sitting around chatting with Chris with no microphones, would your conversation be limited to 60 minutes? No, it'd probably go on for the better part of an afternoon and would naturally wrap itself up when you both found an appropriate exit. Think of it as JUST a conversation, not a podcast/show. I think I speak for everyone when I say we're hungry for more! Love y'all, I'll see you on the next one ❤️
