Looks good. Sounds good. I always find it funny that license plates are the only things that kind of clash..but little to do there for most.
Actually just noticed the front one and also researched the reason for the two plate but diff colors system... interesting.
@@ppl3s yeah I’d rather not run a front plate but it’s illegal to do so here in the UK.. many years ago they used to be black and white, but now by law they must by white and yellow

@@ngk68 Cheers buddy.. it’s getting close to the hibernation season now, so I’m trying to film a few drives before I pack it away.
I am now a very proud owner of a 9 fresh import, really clean and zero rust. i came across your channel a few months ago and that kind of set the idea in stone lol. I grew up around all kinds of Japanese cars but never had any experience's with any Evo's so I've always had that itch. I was just wondering whats the best kind of engine Oil to use? the car is completely stock and i still currently have the 112 restrictor on. Your 7 is absolutely beautiful!
@@Boostiii Wow, that’s amazing.. I’m so glad that my channel had that effect. Evo’s are special cars and need to be driven, I’m sure you’ll really enjoy your fresh 9. As for oil I personally use Millers 5/40, I’ll leave a link at the bottom of this chat. Thanks for the 7 love, it divides some people.. But I love all versions of the Evo, I even had an old Lancer EX turbo some years ago which I wish I never sold. www.opieoils.co.uk/p-115238-millers-oils-motorsport-cfs-5w-40-nt-nanodrive-fully-synthetic-engine-oil.aspx?variantid=412591

@@ngk68 I’ll go with 7,500
@@ThatEvoVII 🤣almost right, bet You are thinking Revs. It is VII=7
@@ngk68 Ha! Yep I was thinking revs 🫡
Whats your recommendations do you have for a new Evo owner, what modifications/ OE upgrades to do?
@@domcastle1 Hi.. Well I’d definitely recommend a 3” cat back exhaust, an upgraded intake pipe with filter, uprated fuel pump (Walbro 255 at minimum) and a boost controller.. Depending on what turbo you’re running you should see around 380 to 400bhp after being mapped. If it’s looks you want to do first, I’d be looking at a front lip (carbon looks unreal), and wheels. I personally went for 18 x 9 rims as I’ll probably upgrade the brakes at some point, and with 18” rims I can go for some larger diameter discs. Interior wise I haven’t really done much as I really like the layout, I have added gauges in the centre of the dash opposed to being in a pillar pod (I found they restricted my view), I also lowered the seats as I’m fairly tall.. To be honest this was one of the best mods I’ve done, it transformed the driving experience for me personally. I hope that’s given you some ideas
@@ThatEvoVII thanks, that's a great deal of information 👍 really appreciate it. The Evos are becoming a little more affordable and in the Low 20's I'm hoping to pick something up soon 🤞 either a 7 or 8 UK car (don't want to deal with imports and having to do the clocks/Speedo conversion/ higher insurance)
@@domcastle1 No problem at all, just be aware that a car that’s been here a long time will probably have some sort of corrosion underneath. This could also be said about some fresh imports, but generally a car that’s been here for many years and is cheap will more than likely have corrosion issues. Be careful of something that’s been covered in thick underseal, and check the rear chassis legs along with the front turret tops and bulkhead, these are the main areas. Most other places like the spare wheel well and arches can be checked easily, ideally getting it on a ramp before buying would be the best bet, or at least taking a jack and torch so you can take a look around. My advice would be to buy one that’s rot free over anything else, good luck with your search.

@@berns8707 thank you, much appreciated 🙏
hello mate i have an evo 7 myself, just wondering what rims and tyres do you run on yours?! i really like the gunmetal and the midnight purple look! cheers
@@berns8707 Hi there.. the rims are Hyper Zero 1’s, 18 x 9 ET30.. The tyres are Yokohama aD08r, 245/40’s.. I’m lowered on Ohlins coilovers so I had to roll the rear arches slightly (about 45 degrees), and it does rub on the front inner arch liner but only on full lock, if I’d have gone for 235/40’s it probably would’ve been ok, but I like the wider tyre to be honest.

@@ThatEvoVII yea mate the coolerworx was going to get one but I always check feedbacks and was also stated by my tuner that it puts pressure on the box , but yea take it easy
@@ANakh-t2l I did look at the Coolerworx shifter, but you have to lose a lot of the centre console.. The WK Motorsport shifter will fit in the 6 speed OE console. Mine is a 5 speed but we made it fit really nice, I have to say it feels amazing on every shift.

Going to put your foot down at all or? lol
@@Tubeyou329 That’s for another time, I enjoy my license.. So I try to do my best not to incriminate myself
@@ThatEvoVII I do get that as I have seen videos on RUclips of people driving like morons and think what arseholes. But at the same time I have to be honest and say it was extremely boring to watch. You could go to Rhodes with a national speed limit on and do a few pulls and still stay within the Law
@@Tubeyou329 I understand what you mean, but I have done that in some previous videos. The area where I was in this particular video doesn’t have any 70mph roads.. What I will say is what some people find boring others do not, some people just like to see what parts of the UK are like, or see what an Evo is like to use in everyday environments. At the end of the day I only do these for fun, I don’t earn anything for it.. When I’m old and unable to drive anymore they’ll be a good memory for me! 😉 P. S. Check out a few of my shorts, there’s a few good ones in there!
@@ThatEvoVII that’s true some good points made by yourself! I own a pulsar gtir so was looking forward to some jdm sounds as it can’t be beaten in my opinion. Will check the shorts!
@@Tubeyou329 oh nice, I do like the gtir.. if you watch the two most recent shorts, you’ll understand that due to how much noise it makes it does attract a lot of attention. I try to stay under the radar as much as possible 😏
