really clean car, one of the best evos I have seen in a long while. Lots of cool mods and I'm sure real fun to drive. I'm more of a Skyline guy myself, but I do enjoy a good Evo
Thanks very much, yeah it’s a really fun car to drive.. I do like a Skyline, especially in midnight purple.. That’s what inspired me to have the Evo done that colour!
@@ThatEvoVII I'm hoping to achieve my goal this year and get myself a Skyline GTR. I'm still stuck trying to sell my current summer car before I can go ahead with that plan.
@@drogenfeld I’d love a GTR but good ones command big money these days, I did look at a mk4 Supra before I bought the Evo.. But we couldn’t come to a deal, maybe in the future I can own both before they get too expensive.. I mean I could win the lottery, right! 😁👌
@@ThatEvoVII I'm prepared to spend the money for the right car, finding the good ones is really hard though in my country. Lots of them require various work first before you can really enjoy it. Some are rightout not worth buying because of how bad the overall condition is. Hoping I can sell my car soon.
I just stumbled upon your channel and video, and I do not know the full build nor who tuned your car, but there is absolutely no legitimate reason those AFRs should be hovering around 13.5 during light cruising unless you're having cooling issues or want pops and bangs. I doubt it's a stock mitsu map which always tend to be big rich anywhere above 2000 RPM. Did you have it tuned for WOT runs on a dyno only, or did you request road tuning as well? Your car, as well as mileage and torque will benefit if you lean out the AFR during most of the conditions you drove in this video. Sick EVO though!
Thanks very much.. I recently had a bigger turbo fitted along with some other stuff, and they found that it had a faulty lambda sensor.. It was built by AP Tuning in Norwich who are amazing when it comes to Evo’s
@@skpro_jects No worries mate, it’s all good.. Yep they know what they’re doing for sure, they plugged it in and found the problem then fitted a new sensor. I did do a video when it was in getting a new turbo along with a few other bits, I didn’t mention on the video about the lambda sensor though as I forgot!
@@goosebee thanks a lot 🙏 .. the battery is an Odyssey PC680, it’s a small lightweight replacement for an OE battery. the short route intercooler piping wouldn’t fit with the OE battery, and I didn’t want to relocate it to the boot, so I bought this Odyssey battery.. it’s been on the car for around 4 years now, it’s always plugged into a maintainer though otherwise it’ll go flat in 2 or 3 weeks if the car isn’t used.

@@drogenfeld it’s exactly the same situation here, there’s an awful lot of rubbish out there.. I wish you good luck with your search.
