Where did you purchase your filter and oil from?
@@dfgsquad8119 I usually would support my local Yamaha Dealer but they have since went out of business so there are good deals online. RockymountainATV is a good start.
Great video bro 1st one that made it look simple and easy
@@dfgsquad8119 thanks!
Did u have to take it to a tune shop ? And put the quad on a dyno?

Pull those bars up on FZR it’s a great stand up machine… looks like an 09’ I just got rid of mine and got the blue GP svho. I love that FZR..
Nice video. I grew up riding these trails. If you ever want to ride shoot me a message. I got a yfz, king quad, sxs and a ktm dual sport. I can show ya some trails off reading property as well. And how to connect Burma and darkwater without crossing at Walmart. ✌🏼

Looks nice. I'm thinking of picking one up next summer.
Did you get a check engine by deleting the speed sensor ?
@@brandonmendoza5036 I did not have any check engine lights
im curious. what tune did you use with the dynojet. Im thinking of getting one and only see tunes for stock intake.
@@hakney1932 we did stock tune and took it to dyno to get it dialed in
I’ve had my ski for a year, exactly the same, chews a bit of fuel but for the money it’s a fast fun reliable ski. Much better than spending 10’s of thousands on something slower and less exciting.
Good video! Did you have to remove alot of things to remove and install trim cable? Exhaust? Or any engine parts? Mine is also stuck from the handgrip
@@Fnkfreak111 I removed hand grip and inspected the wires that go from hand grip to the trim actuator. One of mine were frozen. There is another trim cable from actuator to steering nozzle but check the first two out first. Definitely remember how it came apart to make re-assembly easier as well
Ill check this weekend thanks. Do you recommend a type of cable spray/lube?
@@Fnkfreak111 yep. Yamaha sells “Yamashield” spray. It’s a good lubricant and rust inhibitor
THE FZR IS A BEAST 🔥🔥🔥👌👌👍👍
Hahaha. Maybe 25mph!
Just have a pre-own 2016 FZR with 80 hours, in white & red Color at $12k
muy bueno !!! exelente
Jetblaster has only 3 cilinders bro…
@@janticar4640 yes. After I already had this posted I was doing an oil change and realized I completely fumbled that piece of information! All jet blasters indeed only have 3 cylinders, same with the Super Jet stand up that shares the engine. My apologies!
Looks slugggish with low end pop gueesss I’ll fix up an old x4 xp… anyone that neeed s reverse option to park on a performance ski shouldn’t be driving one
@@aquamegalodon45 like I said, this isn’t a 70 mph PWC. It is quite fast for the engine it has. You surely can fix up an XP but they are not comparable to a spark trixx or Yamaha jet blaster. These are a lot of fun, but much more expensive than an XP.
@@Edwardsmotorsports1 I only rly care about it’s 0-55 speed….. right now I have a 95xp with some geared toward low end pop…. Unfortunately last run it was bogging rpm’s…. I read a thread so,one saying it was the rectifier possibly but it never started again… I would ideally like it to have like 10-15 more hp nothing crazy just to get the best pop possible… I have the skat track impeller, intake grate, would adding a factory jet pipe work on the OEM set up? Would upgrading carburetors do anything ? I think he ski handles perfect just looking faster hole shot not top end…. Would the jet blaster or the super jet stand up supply that extra performance in your opinion?
@@aquamegalodon45 we had a 98 XP and it was fun, just not reliable. Carburetor upgrade would probably get you a little bit more but to really gain power on 2 stroke engines it costs much more money. If you are throwing up the idea of a super jet, I’d go with that. Totally different being it’s a standup but those machines are outstanding.
How do think it would pulling a tube with a spoter?
@@SleepingGaint it actually does well. We have done it. You don’t need to go 50 mph with a tube so it’s almost perfect!
Do you think GP1300R is a reliable ski? Also suitable for passenger or racing ski only?
@@MikeArceri yes it is a reliable ski. Like anything, make sure to keep up with basic maintenance. I take a passenger every now and then. It can do 2 people easily
My only gripe about the 1300R is how WIDE the seat is. You and the Passenger will feel bowlegged after riding it.
That's stock?
Yes the FZR is stock. The GP has some modifications done to it. I have a bunch of stuff coming for the FZR so stay Tuned!

@@Edwardsmotorsports1 You need a prop 13/19 Solas, and if you want to add 50hp to it try and find an old triple pipe for it.
Quick question is the 1300r reliable?
@@RaphaelGeorgiou They are a very well designed two stoke ski. I think a lot of time went into building this ski. They are reliable if you treat them right with proper maintenance and upkeep.
ur not surfing , it looks like your wakeboarding on a surfboard . Try full balast wedge at 3 ,speed set to 10.5mph and looks like you goofy sided so surf right . This should help. Also in the video the boat is going to fast thats why the surf gate is not open
@@mokos21 I appreciate the insight! The boats in the shop now… speedo was not working properly so surf gate would not open, wedge was stuck at full wedge, and speed was off a phone gps app haha… we did best with what we had and had a good time. Looking forward to going again and dialing in the settings. I’m going to try your setting suggestions, thanks!
What is that wave
Hi did you notice a big difference with the D plate. With sounds and responses?
@@anthonyscianna1772 hard to say. I don’t think the D plate is a performance modification. It’s only to delete the catalytic converter so it doesn’t cause issues… the free flow exhaust however is a game changer! Nice sound and maybe a bit of performance gain
@@Edwardsmotorsports1 do you have anything else done here is I just bought one on Saturday I ordered the Riva stage 1 kit and I'm probably going to do a water box
@@anthonyscianna1772 I have RIVA ride plate, worx intake grate, d plate, and free flow exhaust. Great modifications. It sounds like you are well off with the stage 1 kit… you are definitely going to enjoy that ski!

How many miles can you go on a full tank just cruising?
Not sure on miles. This is definitely not the most economic ski. Probably 4 hours you could get out of it cruising. Blast of fun none the less
Glad I’m not the only one who will be making content on this legendary ski, literally picked up my 2008 Yamaha GP1300R 3 days ago, ran it good this weekend and it was a blast! My ski is also stock with only 74 hours (now 78), only managed to reach 61 mph on gps with a 1/4 tank of fuel but it was still fast regardless. Will definitely be installing the RIVA stage 1 kit and some other mods to get to 70+ mph over the winter. Looking forward to more of your videos of the ski!👍🏻
Awesome! The 2008 has got to be the favorite as far as color. Classic Yamaha Blue! The Riva Stage 1 Kit is outstanding... Simply night and day. Stay tuned, I will have more videos coming
Got a 2003 gp1300r about 2 Weeks ago and it came tune , but dash doesn’t work so I can’t see how fast is going , it has around 190 hours

how often you recommend oil change or how many miles or hours ? thank you
Sorry about the late response! For a new bike, service after first 5 hours… anything else, every 10 hours will suffice unless you are racing or ride the quad hard. Every 5-10 is a safe bet.
Bike is running awesome! Night and day difference in power!!
did the box that came with the intake have a place for the relays that are in the back with the tool kit?
The relays that sit under the rear of the seat, are attached to the raptors plastics. So you don’t need to worry when replacing the air box with aftermarket
@@Edwardsmotorsports1 you are right. I was thinking it was in the airbox. Thanks for the info

I agree! RP is the best exhaust available. Craftsmanship is unmatched
@@Edwardsmotorsports1 how much did u spend on everything the exhaust and power commander?

@@VSGMOTORSPORTS check out my recent video on doing the big 3 on the 2024 raptor!! I see you ride a raptor so that might be the most beneficial for you
also the what is the advantage of deleting the speed sensor?
It’s really just a useless sensor that’s suppose to track speed. It is not needed on an ATV to function so I delete them on all my machines and recommend it!
looks awesome!!! can you post links to all you mods? Im particularly interested in the wheels/bead locks, orange nerfbar nets, and the 700R heat shield. I just order monster quad big 3
Yes! DWT Beadlocks can be found on EBay! Orange nerf bar nets are on alba racing, 700R frame guards are also on EBay! AIS Delete is on Cuervo racing website, speed sensor delete is on NiceCNC
They usually just hang out around the boat launch annoying people & treating it like it’s a picnic area..
The stereotype for PWC users is unfortunate. That comes usually from people with clearly no common sense, and rental riders… I am very courteous of all water goers. I will only jump your wake if you are comfortable with me doing so! Where I go it usually isn’t an issue but there’s always one that ruins the party
I have 2, one white and one like yours, my white one is full stage 2 and it does 70 easily
That’s awesome! I got a liking to these skis a bit ago, and had to get my hands on one. Got lucky enough to find this clean fairly low hour 2008. Love them!
Awesome, yea they shift really quick, not too many 4strokes have the speed and agility and the gp1300r love jumping

I've got the same exact situation on a 2011 F-350... Question: Videos for prior years show a retainer clip for the joint that failed. This does not appear to be set up like that... To fix this one joint (i.e., attachment to the passenger side) is it necessary to get an entire new armature set? Or is there any way to just repair the one connection?
There certainly could be a retaining clip. If a new retaining clip is what is needed to fix the joint, that would work. If the joint is to worn and loose, I would recommend replacing the entire assembly. If you are only replacing a small part, be sure to inspect other parts on the assembly as it might just end up being worth while replacing the entire assembly
Checking the other end, it appears to be a rubber bushing that has worn out.
Most Definitely would recommend replacing the entire linkage@@justsayin...2784
Thanks... Yes, nevermind my question. Upon closer inspection, what I called a "bushing" was really just sort of a dust boot... And the ball joint in question clearly had more wear than the others. So... just getting the complete assembly as was done in the video. Again, thanks.
