Subbed! Great content! Really glad I found some good wj videos. I took the tj camping over the weekend and man is it a tight fit for all the gear
thanks for checking out the channel! WJ's not crazy large either but it gets the job done!
Love the t-shirt!! I have JKU that would love to tag along...just sayin'
Thanks! Well I’m gonna get a subscriber group trip together soon, I’ll let everyone when and where. Cheers!
@@wjoverland5109 Hecka rad!! I have your last two Pine Mtn Club videos on my adventure list
Ya! that side of the mountain is pretty cool! Been up in the area a SH@t load of times but always wandered about that area I’m glad I finally went to check it out!
@@wjoverland5109 Now since all of the cool areas have burned, that area is my next to explore.
Do you have a instagram ? I would really like to follow you on your adventures
I do but I don’t post there much I need to start working on that but been busy just filming long form videos.
I’ve done a lot of hang gliding off the Sierras and White mountains. It’s an amazing place to fly.
that sounds amazing!
I agree with Sean! fellow WJ owner and I'd love to hit a trail with you guys!
I just came across your channel yesterday, I’ve knocked out about 6 of your videos so far. I “Like” them all and watch the commercials because I know that helps. I’m in So Cal and just starting a Rumble channel (They pay from the start). Keep up the great videos!
Thank you! That’s cool! I’ll have to check out rumble! Never knew you could do that! Cheers!
great video - i've been wondering if there is much to explore in this area and now i see there is - thanks!
Yes it’s pretty cool over there! and there’s more! I will be headed back out another time!
Thanks for sharing… thats awesome you got to encounter a bear and rattle snake, thats real nature right there..i guess drone for the next adventure.. keep it up!!!
Ya that was a big bear ! And a big snake ! lol thanks for watching!
Hello there! Fellow WJ overlander here. Would really like to meet up sometime and do a run if possible. I’m located in OC.
Hello! Hey thanks for watching! At some point I will be doing a group trip with subscribers ! I will let everyone know when that will be! Cheers!
Hey man I was wondering if the silver Jeep has a lifter problem on the motor? It sounds very suspect. As always I love the videos.
Well he over heated the silver one not long ago, the motor it’s getting rebuilt as we speak ..
Very nice video. I really enjoyed it. Does your drone follow you by itself? What kind is it? And are you using a special camera or your phone? Your videos are really good quality.
My wife does most of the driving so I fly the drone, it does have auto pilot but I never use it., I use several camera’s… Dji pocket 3, canon 240 A. Go pro 12 and iphone 15 Thanks for checking it out! 😎🤟
Ronald Reagan's ranch is up there somewhere off the trail
When you come out at refujo make a right turn continue on the trail goes all the way to santa yanaz
Ya I have headed that way before but didn’t go all the way out. Next time I’ll get it a spin! 👍😎
You’re playing in my backyard man! My hunting & fishing grounds. Glad you had fun! My ‘90 Toy SR5 rolls thru like butter, as well as the ‘02 Rado & soon the ‘18 Z71. Lots to do in them there hills!
Nice touch with the map. Are there enough trails to hit over 2 days in a JK, or can you pretty much cover everything in a day?
There’s lots of trails to explore 2 days no problem up there… and if you look at surrounding areas there’s a lot. I have a few videos on the area .
Great video!!! Cool trucks, awesome people, this video got a bit of everything from beginning till the end 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you! it was a fun trip lots of excitement!
Does all of you have quadra drive? Because its to much spining 😊
We do. We like the system it’s not perfect but we haven’t be stuck or stranded yet. Thanks for watching!
@@wjoverland5109i didn’t say it is perfect, but there is to much spinning, why didn’t lock it and send power to another wheel?
@@krunoslavskocibusic1359 sometimes the front doesn’t hook up strait away, the rear works much better. But they do work well considering it’s not full lockers and the next step is new axels so for now, all the stuff we get through, maybe the front could use a refresh? But we’ve done lots of black diamond trails and did ok..
Where did you start this trail at?
Cuddyback RD and right on Tecuya OHV
Martin Melissa Davis Ronald Lewis Jennifer
there really is nothing like that part of the sierras.
I miss my WJ, maybe I will get another one in the future. Nice video.
Thanks for watching! WJ’s are the best!
Recently found your channel and really enjoying your videos! I love the genuine passion and excitement that comes through non tour narration. I would love to see more on how you set up camp (maybe you cover this in other videos I haven’t come across yet) but it seems like every over lander I see these days has a rooftop tent, which isn’t a possibility for me for a variety of reasons. Would love to see how you set up camp when you go on these trips. Thanks!
Hey thanks for checking out the channel . Ya there’s a few videos of setting up camp but they’re not to elaborate. Next overland trip I’ll get a little more detail on that! Thanks!😊
Are you on 33" tires?
Yes 4 inch iron rock lift adjustable control arms front and back and 33 inch tires .
@@wjoverland5109 Nice. I like my 33" tires but I keep toying if it's worth going to 35's , what are your current thoughts if it's worth the hassle?
35s require an axel swap the gears and axels don’t like more than a 33 from what I understand. However people do it. But I’d rather stick with 33s until I’m ready to upgrade the axels.
@@wjoverland5109 You know part of the fun watching your videos are that you don't have over built rigs and yet you do some pretty tough trails!
@@daleboyish I think channels will ridiculous expensive rigs all jacked up on 40s don’t really relate to the average person.. so we will probably just keep the jeeps set up the way they are..
Awesome episode! Getting me thinking about a WJ now, there's a few over here but nowhere near as common as in the States. Love the scenery too, that creek looked amazing. Would love to get over there one day and do the trails.
Great adventure! I've been crawling my ZJ for years. I have 2 WJ's but my wife won't let me take hers into the rocks. Thanks for the fun.
@@ModelTTime 2 WJ’s is the only way to roll! lol 😂 The blue WJ in my videos is mine as well But! Thanks for checking it out! 😎👍
Sherwin creek ya there’s a local bear always running around!
Great video, thoroughly enjoyed it, video quality and editing are top notch!
@@ExploreX4 thank you! I really appreciate that! 😎🙏
WE had a bear walking around our tent there...was pretty scary
Need to spend less money on overlandy bolt ons and more on things that actually make a difference, like lockers.
Haha. Well I like your style! but shit happens and we love the pace at which we are roiling ! We love the things we’ve done to the jeep and it is what it is! Cheers!😎🙌
Sometimes drivers want to challenge themselves and see how far they can go without lockers. Testing their off reading skills. These jeeps are amazing.
Growing up, our family used to have a place in Incline Village. Every summer when we were kids, our family would do the Truckee river rafting trip at least once. Down to River Ranch for burgers.
@@scottymac5174 ya that’s definitely a highlight! Chill day with great people in a beautiful place!
that damn signal peak rock usually brings overbuilt jeeps on 40s to a stand still but medium trucks just need a forwards and reverse attempts
@@KirbyLouis yup I’ve seen lots of videos of gladiators pinched in that same spot for awhile ,the smaller wheel base rigs seems like an Easier fit!
Great video! Check out Barrett Lake jeep trail. Challenging but fun and the lake is awesome camping. 35s minimum and rear locker is a must though
Alright next up I’ll throw than in the list! 🤟😎
Great Video! Not gonna lie, the cliffs on Signal Peak had me biting my nails a bit but so cool to see what you guys are able to do. Looks like a great trip!
Thanks ya the felt a bit sketchy! But we loved every second! 😎👍
Good job on capturing all of this footage. You have some great angles and edits. I don't live too far from here. I am going to go check these trails out.
Awesome! Thank you! Yes go check them out you will enjoy!
I went yesterday and like you said it is very steep. It's crazy how video makes everything look smaller
@@josephmyers64 totally I thought it was just some what flat … but a ready cool trail
I just did a six day trip back in late June up to Plumas Ntl forest, just north of Tahoe Ntl forest. Camping/fishing/wheeling. Another really cool area to visit if you have the chance.
Copy that I plan to be back! Hopefully as much as I can! Just love it up there!
@@wjoverland5109 Try Hwy 49 north of I80. Downieville, CA. The Poker Flats trail. The lakes basin area in Plumas Ntl forest. Glacier formed, I think there are something like 27 lakes in the area. A lot of OHV/jeep trails. A lot like Tahoe without the Tahoe.
@@scottymac5174 man I would assume anything in the area is epic! Thanks for the tip!
Hi can other types of jeeps tag along on your weekend or day trips I have a 2012 jeep liberty KK 4X4 live in the inland empire area watch your videos
Hey! Ya I plan to do a subscriber run at some point but we are out of state for the next few trips… but I’m gonna announce when that will be and we can all get together… ya I do t really care what type of rig anyone has..
@@wjoverland5109 great hope to hear from you soon I’m Alex love your videos just bought our KK and learning about trail running thanks
Tie rods. Adjusting sleeve.Serpentine belt. 3/8 fuel hose, hose clamp. Zip ties. Safety wire and pliers. Just some of the things I carry in the WJ. Fantastic video.
You pack tools and a bunch of necessary spares in your truck. Your buddy packs different spares/tools in his truck. Try to cover as many bases. There are places up there where driving a mile takes an hour.
Yup exactly! The more crap the better!
I’m glad someone is finally do something that isn’t wrangler or gladiator. What spare tire rack are you using? Can it accept a hitch so i can tow a utility trailer?
It is from dissent off road, it’s kinda spendy. But yeah it extended a a hitch receiver so you could tow.
Ya I like things that aren’t super duper trendy! Thanks for watching!
great videography
Thank you! I really wanna get back there now that my drone isn’t toast! lol.. 👍😎
Awesome brother. As a grand Cherokee trailhawk owner makes me proud to see other on the trail. I have so much footage to go through as I am learning davinci resolve to post videos. I live in Auburn so all these trails are really in my backyard and love how you incorporated tubing into the video. Tahoe is my favorite spot in the world and now that I just got into off roading and overlanding, the past year, I can’t wait to explore more. Heck even went to overland expo west in Flagstaff this year as well as PNW in Redmond Oregon. Love how we can just go and be in different terrain. Oh and everyone I meet in this community are just so helpful and finally found like minded people that show respect to one another. No matter where you’re from or how much money you have, no one cares. All love all the time.
Yes! I love that about the community! Thank you for checking it out! The tubing was really fun aswell! Can’t wait to get back up there!
Hwy 49. Up through Downieville to Gold Lake Hwy. I love that area.
I live in grass valley and the town of Washington is a great place to start from and enjoy your rigs. Your jeep will go through the Rubicon jeep trail with no problem, just go during the jamboree. My 2004 jeep grand cherokee limited with a 3 inch lift dose just fine. Pick and choose your line wisely. A little trail rash never hurt no body. Cisco Grove is a great place to play at after the Rubicon. God bless and keep wheeling. If you ever want a tour guide let me know ahead of time and I'll show you around.
@@madmikescustoms thank you for the good info! I’ve been wanting do the jamboree anyway maybe next year! Thank you watching my channel!
I'm Just getting started and I loved this video. Thank you!!
Thank you! We loved that area Wes a great trip
Are you guys still running stock front axle shafts? Surprised you haven't broken those. I use to brake them often before I did jk axle swap.
@@jacobrocha5734 yep no issues. I guess we will upgrade once that happens but it’s been 3 years wheeling so far. Thanks for checking out the channel! 😎🤟
Awesome trip! 👍 Looking forward to seeing more of your adventures.
Thank you! Ya we really love that area! Next adventure we are headed to Colorado, and Utah. Possibly in October to do the big trails up there!
Wow, thank you so much for patiently sharing! The way Novsight's lights are showcased is amazing! They’ll light up your path on your adventure!🥳
@@Jinmin77 hey your welcome! We love the lights! Thanks for watching!
How much did gas roughly cost you that trip? Jeep handles well on far trips?
@@matthew7972 O on that trip we towed the jeeps behind our RVs so in that case the gas was expensive! lol… but our gas mileage isn’t to bad on the jeeps considering there v8s… we go on local weekend trip and it’s not to bad at all…
Good video man. Fordyce is one of my bucket list trails. Rubicon is beautiful and really fun but it will find your rigs weak points. You'll make there. If your around big bear oct 19th you should join us for the ironman challenge. It will test your rig and driver. Lots of fun. Stay safe and happy trails
Thanks man! What trails are guys doing for the iron man? John Bull? Gold mountain? We are headed to Colorado and Utah for a 3 week adventure in October so I think we will miss it! But thanks for checking out the channel!
