I really liked Payback's A Witch but I also don't typically read romance, so I am probably looking for different things than a romance reader. :) Hope the rest of October will go better for you.

The heroine is actually 20 in The Coven. There is a common misconception due to the editing being slightly lacking on that front. But it does clarify in Chapter 4. It was confusing to me at first, too. I enjoyed it halfway thru, plus the ending really made the hero as a villain make sense. Plus, I just really love The Adventures of Sabrina vibes. 3 stars for me, too! I'm hoping to get to the 2nd one in October. Definitely did the same, I wanted to justify purchasing, so I checked it out from the library first. Yes, i did succomb 😂

Oh no! I am sorry the books were mostly not hitting. I hope things slow down as we move out of eclipse season and you have some wins. I read Lavash at First Sight by Taleen Voskuni and it was a sapphic foodie romance that was lovely and cozy

so glad you enjoyed An Education in Malice! i also gave it 4.5 stars. i feel like a lot of people who didnt like it probably havent actually read the source material. I really appreciated the way that S.T. Gibson gave Laura back her agency while also redeeming Carmilla herself. as of right now, i am 70% into Evocation, and its sitting between a 4 or a 5. cant wait to see how it ends! (altho im a bit peeved theres a spoiler in the synopsis!)

I read Book Eaters awhile back, and I kinda/sorta liked it, but a meh, it was okay type of like. choosing just a couple favourites to mention seems unfair to all the other favourites so uhm... (clears throat) in September I enjoyed A Sorceress Comes to Call, Do Me a Favor, The Wedding People, Somewhere Beyond the Sea, Pucking Sweet, The Ties that Bond series and Wild Eyes.

I dnfed The Book Eaters too, it wasn't the story I was expecting and I was bored. Laura.....Divine Rivals is historical 😅 just add that to your list.

ive been wanting to play animal crossing so bad, but im still in my dreamlight valley, stardew valley, minecraft, and other games era that i dont need to pick up on another obsession ( kdrama, fanfic and danmei already has me in a chokehold right now lmao) ... hence the catching up on youtube vlogs! :D
