Thanks for watching... I had mine at about 12.5 feet and I easily had 128" screen. I would check Projector Central's distance calculator for the bare minimum distance needed.

@@JoyzerDk they can connect via Bluetooth to the audio and JMGO does have a ceiling mount made which is a very good build as well.

@@brucesmith1754 hey Bruce... Call it fluke I guess 😂😜. Remeber that the N1S Pro was a replacement model for last years N1 Pro which was only 1080p so JMGO had now made all models 4k. So that is a huge improvement alone. The N1S Pro looks better than any projector I have ever used and for an entry level model that says alot. As far as the Ultimate goes mine is still on its way after a few delays but I can say that the MALC on this version is 2.0 allowing for brighter lumens while maintaining the thing that blew me away most about the JMGO models... Its ability to produce amazing colors while maintaining unmatched contrast and black levels. I cannot wait to review mine and share my results with you. I currently am using the N1S Ultra and soon I will be rocking the Ultimate! Thanks again for your kind words and support of my channel!

@@OlyGoalie67 I cant but help but be curious about the market when I see all these exciting competitive options. By the end of October there should be fierce competition between the JMGO N1S models, the new Hisense C2 line and the new XGIMI S Horizon models. One of these guys is getting my 💰💰. But I think the JMGO overall is kicking tail with it proprietary triple laser technology. The fact that they are moving toward an affordable , high quality, all mostly 4K offerings is commendable. The consensus in the community is that these machines are a marvel! I have the lowest end model and Its quality far surpasses every 1080p projector Ive owned in 15yrs. I look to your reviews on the JMGO because I love what they are doing and I appreciate the infectious enthusiasm that you bring toward sharing your experiences with their products. Hey Runestone... Sorry for the late response... I though I had replied to you earlier. So the Ultra has the original MALC and the N1S Pro, Ultra and Ultimate have the MALC 2.0. There is a noticeable difference in sharpness of image, more pop in the color (as hard as I try it is very hard to convey that in the video) and contrast at the same time (with the higher lumens of brightness that is a pretty amazing feat as well) I have an Ultimate on its way and will be posting a review on that one so it will be very interesting to check that one out... @@drewsim_ it is the starter model that was 1080p last year and is now 4k but at a lesser retail... Good for those who don't want to shell out for the Ultra. JMGO is just trying to make sure they have a model and price point for everyone's level of comfort which I appreciate.

I am very curious to see the Ultimate with the improved MALC 2.0 and the sharper image... I think a more portable unit in the sense of a starter model then maybe an Ultimate would be great but everyone has their sweet spot and I think JMGO is trying to address all of those spots 😊

@@brucesmith1754 thanks Bruce and hope you are well. I have moved my N1S Ultra around a few times and don't seem to remember having to re set up picture settings etc other than the auto screen adjust as it is a different wall and different screen size. I cannot say for sure but I do know they are hinting at a potential implementation but again, I cannot speak for JMGO. As you can imagine, I also would love to see the implementation of true Dolby Vision on the N1 Series...let's be honest, include that and the JMGO line is unstoppable, full stop. I do continue to use my Arcana on my N1S Ultra and will likely do the same when I receive my Ultimate as there is a noticeable improvement in image quality, in my opinion even on non LLDV material.

@@OlyGoalie67 Sounds like you are using the automatic settings for screen adjustments. It would be an absolute headache for me to have to keep doing those adjustments without being able to save different manual settings for each of my rooms. For example my living room setup has the projector mounted upside down. Problems especially occur when watching 3D movies which dont allow for digital settings or keystoning. That is my experience with the N1 1080. Disappointing to hear that JMGO is not looking at the DV implementation but not a deal breaker. I've been waiting them out for a year now before I purchase the 4K model. Now it seems that the new Hisense C2s may add all the features that we've been asking for including a 0.9-1.5 optical zoom lens. I'm just waiting for the comparison testing to make my Black Friday decision. But regardless, I'll likely be splitting hairs as I already know from the N1 1080 model's performance that JMGO is a winner that I would highly recommend. I'm blown away at the 1080p level !! I don't think it would be but as far as I know anything with a Dolby Vision source would work I guess. I have never tried it that way...we have figured out that because the N1 cannot force the HDR mode to stay on it does not work with the Ezcoo but works perfectly with the HD FURY line!

That is a great question isn't it. For most, the N1 Ultra will absolutely floor them and be more than enough. The N1S is definitely brighter and more ideal for those with less light control or for those who like me, like to have the latest and greatest! Thanks for watching!

Only if you need the extra light...speakers are improved and better fluidity to OS as well.

@@OlyGoalie67 Do you happen to know if the green/red outlines on small text/details is still there and if laser speckle has been improved? Those really bothered me on the N1 Ultra.

​@@tbob2224I don't notice them at all when using my Elite Screens Aeon 8K screen but they may be slightly. The new N1S Ultimate uses the MALC version 2.0 which is an upgrade from the N1S MALC which is apparently pretty amazing so there is that to consider as well.

You are correct, one that you can force the HDR mode to stay on otherwise it will be a slightly washed out image...it doesn't look horrible if you can't force it, it just isn't ideal.

No, the real difference on the Ultimate is higher lumens at 3500 ANSI and enhanced MALC for better speckle reduction. If you have any sort of uncontrolled light the ultimate will definitely be better with the higher lumens output. Both units are the same resolution...

That is so awesome...sorry for asking as there are a few in the video...which one was yours. Isn't that amazing how your drawing is seen and appreciated by so many people...thanks for leaving that for everyone to enjoy.

If you like LED light source and a seperate dongle for the android tv...then the BenQ is on top 😂. Have you had the N1 or N1S side by side with the BenQ? I know I have not seen the 4550i but I have tried two other BenQ, the GP500 and the X3000i and they didn't even come close the JMGO...not even close. Unless the 4550i has been majorly improved in the LED source then I don't see it being better...lots of comments on AV forums like the one below... "Before you buy the HT45501 be aware of the very weak black levels" I am sorry as I am not doubting what you are saying but I still say I have never seen an image from any projector at any price that tops the N1 or N1S Ultra.

It's an issue with my Nikon camera...have to get it fixed.

Are you also using the Ezcoo as I am wondering if the cloudiness is from that. As I commented in a previous post we have discovered that the Ezcoo is not ideal for the JMGO line as there is no way to keep the projector in HDR mode hence the washed out effect when using the Ezcoo.

The N1S on its own is the most amazing projector yet but if you want the closest to Dolby Vision then purchase an HD FURY product as they have a way to spoof the signal going to the projector that allows it to stay in HDR mode giving you true Low Latency Dolby Vision!

No issues whatsoever, I have had three JMGOs in different parts of my home and zero lag or streaming issues!

I have heard rumors of the Ultimate but I am not 100% on the lumens...7000 sounds insanely high but it is possible. If so that would make it an amazing product for someone who does not have a 'controlled' environment or no way to remove light from the equation. I best I can say is you have an amazing projector and you will absolutely love it. If you are a tech junkie like me (ZFold 6 has already been sold for the upcoming Pixel 9 Pro Fold 😅) then there will always be another 'next' product. The last thing I will say is stay tuned to my channel mid September for a new product review 😉

Thanks for watching Sammy...no disrespect to Xgimi but it isn't even close. The N1S Ultra rivals the Epson series which are known to have some of the best contrast out there. I would say it is even better in my opinion. I have owned both the Epson 5040UB and 5050UB so I am speaking from personal experience. Another area that the N1S is probably the best in is 3D. Most home projectors 3D is very dark and not very enjoyable whereas the N1S is incredibly bright. I just watched Avatar2 a few nights ago and reminded myself how amazed I was by its 3D capabilities...you will absolutely not go wrong...I said it before in the review...the best projector line I have ever used, hands down.

@@OlyGoalie67 so you don't think the dolby vision tone mapping , the ace in the sleeve, is better? Wouldn't you see more in the details of real DV picture, or do you have LLDV with the n1s, when you are giving your opinion of it

I am talking straight out of the box. The contrast on this projector is rhe best i have ever seen stock again, even compating to the industry leading Epsons. Yoy should join the discord and take a look at the videos posted there bt Vapor Model, they will completely blow you away. I do use an HD Fury for LLDV but it doesn't make a huge difference really. I do lots of reviews for JMGO but when I say the things that I say about them it is because they are truly amazing projectors and that is my own feedback from a person who trued many different brands and models until i found the Kickstarter on the original N1 Ultra. Put it this way, this is the first projector EVER that stopped my constant urger to fine 'the next better projector' becuase I really feal there isnt one!

@@Mnamhaf the brightness is definitely an improvement but there are also things like improved sound and software...hang tough though, something big might be around the corner...

I think most manufacturers are so happy with the results of the current TI chips and quite honestly, every time I turn on my Ultra so am I. I just watched Furiosa last night and was completely blown away by the imagery and picture quality...amazing, but I seem to say that every time I watch it. @@alexbelauste thanks for watching...I think if you had 12 feet you would be fine...I currently have mine about 12 feet from the screen and am on a 150" screen and that is even overshooting it by a few inches.

No issues at all, in fact, you don't even notice it when watching content, once its set to you screen it's now wide enough to go so far past the border of the screen. I think the only time it may be noticeable is if you were projecting directly on a wall and if it was off centered...but even then it isnt so noticeable that it is bothersome.

@@sass5101 thanks for watching! I would say that mine has been pretty accurate. I have a 20oz cup I use and when the 20oz is selected it is always bang on. When I select 12oz it too is usually full. The only time I ever notic it short is when I forget to add water to the tank 🤪

@OlyGoalie67 Trying to download / install the programmer. It wanted me to sign up for drop box for some reason. Then I thought I had it when I tried to install/run it. Windows freaked out. It told me not trusted. I did the do it anyway option . It still said no and gave me about 15 messages that the file contains a virus. So I'm just lost. I'm kind of scared to keep clicking on things. I did watch The Other video. The link I need from that video no longer works. That's why I needed the other option. Idk.

@@datdudeinred there is absolutely zero laser speckle which is a combination of the N1S ULTRA and the Elite Screens A8k Accoustic transparent screen I use in my home theatre.

@@reznorfan78 I reached out to JMGO and they quoted 15ms. I don't game but my daughter's do and they have had zero issue with lag. That being said, they do not do high level gaming so I cannot give you a better answer than that I'm afraid. I have tried a little golf on the Xbox One and that was spectacular on a 150" screen but that is definitely not as intensive as a FPS game for sure.

I was able to use it with the N1 Ultra but not the N1S ULTRA so you should be ok...I have contacted SOFABATON to see if they can add the JMGO to their data base and they indeed sent an email to JMGO as they cc'd me on the email but I haven't seen any reply and that was like three weeks ago. You can select 'other' when setting up under Bluetooth and then make sure you go to bluetooth settings on the N1 Ultra and select add a product. Then follow the set up steps on the Sofabaton the the N1 will recognize it at that point and then it works from there. Hope that helps.
