AI LIMIT [Demo]: Post-Apocalyptic Anime Bloodborne
Turn on Subtitles for the "Commentary Track".
The video comes straight from a PS5, so, if you see any Framerate hiccups or something else, thats just the PS5 experience my friend.

I'm not exactly big on the "Souls-Like" genre, albeit I have played enough of them and I have always enjoyed the experience and general gameplay, at least enough to "generally complete" them, though, surprising enough, I have not really played much Bloodborne, nearly not enough to have a proper understanding of it's general approach to Gameplay or Design but, despite that, even with that short amount of time I can still see that AI LIMIT is clearly inspired by it, at least ...

Usually there is a commentary track but "Ballet of Steel" is a very short game, more of a "proof of concept" as this was initially a "Game Jam" kind of game that will be probably made into a fully completed game as the description on the Itch.io page says: [We we currently working on remaking this game to a fully fledged roguelike game. One of the most interesting mechanics in Hisoutensoku is the Border Escape System and what is even more intriguing is learning how to really push it to its limits; BE6-ing to punish Blockstrings is definitely one of those cases. I've always wanted to get into Hisoutensoku since I love fighting games (mainly as a grappler main) and also love Touhou. However, most of the guides and resources for this game are really old. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but it does make it less engaging. Seeing new videos about it makes me want to jump in. A general guide about the game would be much appreciated

    • @ShiGen
      @ShiGen 2 месяца назад

      I've been working on bigger guides and some of the shorts act as buffer/filler until I finish work on the bigger video but, nonetheless, have you seen my defense guide? If yes or not, what would a "general guide" entail? It's something I can take note of and try to work out for later, once I'm done with other videos/things.

    • @Ratiiee
      @Ratiiee 2 месяца назад

      @@ShiGenMaybe a good start would be a simple guide on installation, finding games, and getting into a match or practice. I know everything can be found on the Discord, but having it in video form would make it much easier for new people not just me to get into it. Or maybe a video on character archetypes would be helpful. In my opinion, the first thing that makes you love or hate a fighting game is the character you pick. So, a short video covering the cast, their playstyles, and maybe comparisons to similar characters in other fighting games could be a great starting point. It would make finding a character less overwhelming.

    • @ShiGen
      @ShiGen 2 месяца назад

      @@Ratiiee Hrm... I see. I'll keep it in mind, though, a lot of these things exist already either by downloading the game or getting through the resources in the Discords. I understand that nowadays having everything lost inside some whatever Discord isn't great but still, a lot of stuff is there. I'll see through this a bit and figure out what to do, it's all useful stuff to keep in mind. Thanks for the commentary!

    • @ShiGen
      @ShiGen 2 месяца назад

      @@Ratiiee Ah yeah, I think it's worth a little extra analysis but, while something like "how to setup Soku" could be a fairly easy short (quite literally just download the pre-made packs that are plug & play) I think something like "Character Archetypes" is actually an extremely complex video because of how Soku works. In general a lot of topics that would be fairly short in other FGs, become ridicolously complex in Soku due to the "context" the game presents. Archetypes for example don't really exist in Soku, characters vaguely resemble some but the way they actually approach the game tends to not really have much to do with the "archetype" and to explain that requires an entire contextualized video. It' s usually why I make shorts on more vague or less "context heavy" topics. Nonetheless, I'll try to make more shorts on anything I can manage and actually put out more guides, figured I added a bit of an addendum from my previous comment (just remembered now whoops). Thanks for watching my stuff!

    • @ShiGen
      @ShiGen 2 месяца назад

      Well, the turn based system is kind of core of the game as most of the challenge comes from having a lot of enemies throw projectiles from different locations or different patterns. If they were to make it happen in real time, it would be a very different game and it would go back to being more of a common Shoot'em Up or Bullet Hell game of sorts. I can only imagine this turn based aspect is going to be kept for the final version.

Nowadays you don't even need to be on Discord to play, the In-Game Hostlist allows you to play without being on Discord, though it's going to make a lot of things a lot harder. @@prophetedubaroque5136 A lot of the times these games come from Itch.io, either from TouhouJams or because I just searched "Touhou" in the main page; if another similar one appears I will probably give it a shot. I also have a list of indie games to showcase, I've just been a bit busy with things to actually do it. I'm extremely bias towards Youmu though, usually that is what gets me to play something for sure, so if there was a similar game with Youmu, its probably assured I will eventually play it. In short: Possibly.

    • @ShiGen

      It may be that your keyboard doesn't read double directional inputs then and if that is the case then you need another one. If instead you have difficulty doing it then you just gotta practice as there is no other way to do the Specials otherwise

      @@celinekimi6493 the diagonal inputs are simply done by holding two directions at once. Down-Right would be down + right, down-left would be down + left, that is how you do these directions. Down, downright, right + button is how you would do a special. Does that help?

    What device are you using to play? Console or PC? Do you have any tips to master the 623c and such? Thanks for the combos tutorial 🙏🙏

    • @ShiGen
      @ShiGen Год назад

      Well Hisoutensoku is a PC only game but if you are wondering if I use Keyboard or Gamepad then I use a DS4 Pad that is used exclusively to play Soku and nothing else (Soku kinda wears down DPads but the PS4 Pad or at least the one I use seems to have withstood the times). As for mastering the 623C, not sure if you are referring to the input in itself or the various combos but I'm going to presume its the Input in and on itself: there isn't much of a trick outside of practicing until you get comfortable with executing the actual input but personally what helped me solidify my execution of the DP input was understanding that DPs are virtually just a variation on the 236 input, with the difference being that you have a 6 in front of it, so like 6-236 would in most modern and not only games, still give you a DP input. If you really want it cleaner you simply cut the last 6. Not sure if this helps but that is how I figured it out... that and obviously execution practice in the Lab but that was a given I think. Thank you for enjoying the video!

      Realistically you'll never find yourself in a situation where this mechanic ever interacts with the move in a way that matters and if you do, you are probably using the move incorrectly anyway, but really, it barely matters. It's just a neat element of the game and a fairly common fighting game one too as having blockstun also be invincible to grabs is a common practice in the genre.

    My only concern is that it may be too cheap-as a RC cancel I'd expect it to cost more than an orb. Card cost, maybe?

    • @ShiGen
      @ShiGen Год назад

      This discussion happened already during the "making of" but at the end of the day the cheap nature of it sort of "solves itself" and is also "the point". Pretty much whenever it's being used the opposition is supposed to counter with their own B.S meaning that either both parties start to bleed out like crazy or have to backoff and a lot of the fun of the mod comes down to this intense set of insane options + having the gall to commit to low orbs. Remember that despite cards being strong, orbs are what keeps a player standing and playing and losing them is more expensive than spending cards. As an added bonus, B.S. way of using orbs is slightly different from BE as when you spend a B.S. you actually reset the orb recharge, so its also slightly more costly than BE in that sense

      Yeah, the effectiveness isn't exactly at an all time high, even with the Border Shock. It's probably better to keep the orbs to do very very oppressive pressure or have better control of the neutral
