The Texas Alligator Lizard (Gerrhonotus infernalis) is a pure gem of United States herpetology. We only see the northern reaches of it's range as much of its habitat is in Mexico. They're similar to the alligator lizards I have here in California but are a totally different genus and a good deal bigger! They're not common in west Texas but we'll see about that....Lets get it.
