Triple R

Welcome to the 3R channel! My name is Eugene. Here I am engaged in the restoration of various types of equipment.
I have a SMALL knowledge base and specialized education, but despite this I learn something new from repair to repair. My channel is more dedicated to entertainment and inspiring viewers to try to restore and repair things themselves. The main idea is that sometimes, repairing a high-quality old thing can be more useful than buying something new and of lower quality.
I do not have a full-fledged or even partial workshop, I shoot all my projects in the kitchen of an ordinary, small apartment, so do not judge strictly)
My videos are designed to promote relaxation, calmness and peace. I encourage everyone who loves DIY projects, retro technology enthusiasts or even random viewers who just dropped in for a cup of tea to feel welcome. If you have questions or constructive comments, I will be happy to answer.

2000 ⚙️ Restore & Repair 📦 Renew Kit PlAYSTATION One ✅ 3 junk Lots! CONSOLE and 2 gamepads!
Today’s project: I’ll be tackling a PS1 Slim restoration, along with two gamepads, all sourced from three different auction lots. The console arrived with an unexpected twist-it wouldn’t power on at all, presenting a unique challenge right from the start. As I dig into each component, I’ll be working to troubleshoot the issue, piece together the parts, and breathe new life into this retro gaming setup. I’m hoping this restoration not only solves the power issue but also revives some nostalgic memories. Sit back, relax, and enjoy watching this PS1 transformation unfold!

1985 ⚙️ RESTORATION & Revamp ✅ SANYO MGP17 🎼 Music from the 90s!
Просмотров 170 тыс.Месяц назад
Back in the 90s, I had a yellow Sony Walkman Sport that I absolutely loved. It was a huge part of my daily life. Recently, I came across a SANYO MGP17 at a sale, and even though it was in poor condition, it immediately brought back those memories of my old cassette player. I felt a connection and couldn't leave it behind. So, I bought it and decided to restore it. In this video, I'll take you t...
1994 ⚙️ RESTORATION & Repair ✅ SEGA Mega Drive (Genesis) ❤️ One LOVE this console. (Real restore)
Просмотров 266 тыс.2 месяца назад
Today, we’re restoring the first retro gaming console from the 16-bit generation, originally released in 1988! While we don’t have the exact original model, we do have a replica of the Japanese version, likely from around 1994. I picked up this console at a local street sale in rough condition-it was sold for parts, as it wasn’t functioning. What immediately caught my eye was the console’s oute...
1980 ⚙️ RESTORATION Lafayette F-990 (TDS-1) ✅ RETRO headphones 🎧 that THROWN AWAY!
Просмотров 9 тыс.2 месяца назад
I found these headphones from the 1980s lying in the mud among other trash on the street. I couldn’t just walk by, so I picked them up. Today, I’m starting the restoration process. This won’t be a classic restoration, as the original earpads and headband will be replaced. I’m restoring them for my own use, and I’ll probably swap out the drivers later, as the originals don’t have the bass respon...
DIY 🖐 Tool for any WORKSHOP ❗️ From 1987 PHOTO ENLAGER ✅Better than NEW!
Просмотров 2,3 тыс.2 месяца назад
I needed a digital analog microscope for work, with the main criteria being a maximum working distance and an analog camera to avoid streaking during movement and minimize input lag. Microscopes with these specifications are usually very expensive, so I decided to build one myself. I used a PHOTO ENLAGER from 1987 as the foundation, but you can use any other model-it's not a problem. The whole ...
1996 ⚙️ RESTORATION & Repair ✅ TETRIS Brick Game 🎮 Handheld 999 Games in 1
Просмотров 6 тыс.2 месяца назад
Today, I'm restoring a 999-in-1 Brick Game console (Tetris). I had one just like it when I was a kid. While walking through a local street market, I spotted a familiar box and realized it was an original, vintage model. I bought it for a symbolic price and decided to bring it back to life. Better to have it on my shelf than in the trash. I'm not a professional restorer, but I did my best with t...
Where did you get that shirt
I was given a T-shirt. Do you want to buy one for yourself?
I have a similar device by the name of Akai, with a clip also. It still plays vwry good!!!
It's good that your walkman survived, usually they disappear into thin air )
have the fat model in great working condition just some few small scrathes
Friend, I also have "PS1 fat" in good condition )
i still have a working pristine condition sega mega drive v2 we need to preserve the past
I agree, I'm doing two things at the same time now, videos about restoration and collecting retro electronics). I also have an original Japanese SMD2. The game console of my childhood)
The video didn't include the mechanical parts lubrication process (I hope Triple R didn't forget to lubricate those parts) and the tape head azimuth adjustment process (otherwise, it won't produce good-quality audio without the proper azimuth adjustment).
I agree, I didn't take a video of the lubrication of the moving parts. I installed the head in approximately the same place, based on the paint imprint and the number of turns of the adjustment bolt. This is not a setup, but the player will stand on the shelf. ) Now I'm making a retro AV, I'll show both the lubrication and the azimuth adjustment, come, I'm waiting for you.
Куплю
His house is now on my shelf. Once I sold my SEGA MD, then I regretted it for a long time)
А ты не жалей, просто предложи любую сумму я у тебя её выкуплю
Splendid works
Thanks friend )
If its a clone you'd never have been able to tell from the video, i had a Mk1 Mega Drive until around the mid 2010's and i sold it, really wish i hadn't now :(
At least you managed to sell yours. When I bought a PC, I gave my original European SEGA MD2 to a neighbor so they could play with it. Later, when I realized its value as a retro collectible and how much it meant to me personally, I asked for it back. Do you know what they told me? 'We threw it away'
Top Demais Gostei Muito Gravador de Fita
What kind of video camera did you use to film this??
Nikon Z30 + 2 lenses. 18-50 2.8 and 100mm 2.8 macro.
@ nice quality looks amazing
Thanks )
I have a tape player 😊
What brand is it, if it's not a secret? )
80年代第一次出糧就是買了一部walkman,5佰大元
Walkman truly changed how we listened to music back then. Thank you for sharing! )
A fantastic restoration. Now i first through it was from sony but as i was looking closer it turned out to be from sanyo🤣 Also i first throught that yellowish white was it’s original color. And since it dates back to 1985 i throught that color fits pretty well because of it’s age. Especially since i will see the color yellowish white in front of me once i will think about the year 1985🤣
Yes, it's not Sony ), but Sanyo is not bad either). I agree about the yellow plastic, I even thought about leaving it at some point)
50 / 50 would be perfect!
Thanks for voting )
What small screwdriver do You use? I mean, manufacturer of it? 😊 if it's not a secret, of course...
No, it's not a secret :) Dnipro-M for precision work S2 21 pcs
I was literally saying NO WAY when you took out the epoxy, you are god-like already, right on!
You exaggerate my merits ), thanks for the kind words.
舊變新,賞心悅目。😘
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good idea 👍💡
Отличная работа, канал на уровне топовых по восстановлениям. И да, 50/50.
Thanks friend for watching and voting )
It is unbelievable that the 3.5 mm jack has survived for many decades and still being used today
There is nothing more convenient than a round connector that also rotates when plugged in. If it had not been supplanted by wireless technologies, it would have been relevant for another 100 years.
와 개쩐다 산요 워커맨을 다시 살려내다니!!!
Ottimo ❤
Thanks! 😊 I'm glad you liked the video!
Very good
Cool! It's a pity that you didn't show the soldering of micro-components.
Thanks. There will be a video about retro AV soon, including soldering. Come )
Amazing talent and knowledge. Really enjoyed. Thank you.
Thanks for watching and for the comment)
Can you suggest any good.
What do you mean?
Amazing work.❤❤❤ . I also have this 90's Snyo Cassette player but it is not working.I took it to a shop but he says it is not repairable.
Thanks. Everything can be fixed, it all depends on the desire and availability of funds)
I enjoyed watching this, great work.
50/50 is perfect! NIce Videos! Greetings! Doc64! Keeps Commodore 64 alive! 😉
Thanks for voting ). Commodore 64 is a great machine ;)
Im really fascinated by this restoration as i have a similar Sanyo (mgr80) and i was wondering what kind of lubrication do you use for the motor and flywheel, and roughly what amount? Thanks
Thank you), I'm glad you liked the video. For the shafts I used sewing machine oil I-20, one drop.
The amount of work you put into restoration is inspirational! Here i am just replacing belts and calling it a day 😅
It was one of the good stereo piece
That was Great Work 👍
Amazing, I had these kind of players in the 80's, I had no idea a basic personal stereo was so complex inside!
A real, interesting, puzzle)
That's a first class of work. Thank you very much
Thank for watching )

I had the MGP-17 yellow one. Just a Two belt problem. Could you tell me what size of the two belt? Thanks for your video. It's great 👍🏻
Thanks for watching. Sorry, I don't know the sizes. I picked them out by trying them on from a large set.
great job
Amazing work. You have fantastic skills!
Thanks friend )
You're a Maestro 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you! Bows 🎩
The audio head, the part I wanted to see in detail and its repair was not shown but only the final assembly, was it the same part or was it a new one?
This is an old audio head. What kind of repair do you have in mind for it? Polishing? Or perhaps adjusting the tilt? This Walkman was restored mainly to sit on a shelf, not for listening. But if you want to restore the audio head, it’s actually easier to buy a new one nowadays rather than attempt polishing, especially since it’s not recommended to polish it more than twice, but I don't know, maybe this has already been done before me.
i watch a lot channels of repair , etc , ur very good content , congratulations
Thanks friend, I'm glad you liked it )
sir your vedio is very beautyful and mavalose your doing very difficul thing for this im also like to do like this rapair but a l hava no tools like this
