Welcome to the 3R channel! My name is Eugene. Here I am engaged in the restoration of various types of equipment.
I have a SMALL knowledge base and specialized education, but despite this I learn something new from repair to repair. My channel is more dedicated to entertainment and inspiring viewers to try to restore and repair things themselves. The main idea is that sometimes, repairing a high-quality old thing can be more useful than buying something new and of lower quality.
I do not have a full-fledged or even partial workshop, I shoot all my projects in the kitchen of an ordinary, small apartment, so do not judge strictly)
My videos are designed to promote relaxation, calmness and peace. I encourage everyone who loves DIY projects, retro technology enthusiasts or even random viewers who just dropped in for a cup of tea to feel welcome. If you have questions or constructive comments, I will be happy to answer.

2000 ⚙️ Restore & Repair 📦 Renew Kit PLAYSTATION One ✅ 3 junk Lots! CONSOLE and 2 gamepads!
Просмотров 15 тыс.Месяц назад
Today’s project: I’ll be tackling a PS1 Slim restoration, along with two gamepads, all sourced from three different auction lots. The console arrived with an unexpected twist-it wouldn’t power on at all, presenting a unique challenge right from the start. As I dig into each component, I’ll be working to troubleshoot the issue, piece together the parts, and breathe new life into this retro gamin...
1985 ⚙️ RESTORATION & Revamp ✅ SANYO MGP17 🎼 Music from the 90s!
Просмотров 220 тыс.2 месяца назад
Back in the 90s, I had a yellow Sony Walkman Sport that I absolutely loved. It was a huge part of my daily life. Recently, I came across a SANYO MGP17 at a sale, and even though it was in poor condition, it immediately brought back those memories of my old cassette player. I felt a connection and couldn't leave it behind. So, I bought it and decided to restore it. In this video, I'll take you t...
1994 ⚙️ RESTORATION & Repair ✅ SEGA Mega Drive (Genesis) ❤️ One LOVE this console. (Real restore)
Просмотров 344 тыс.3 месяца назад
Today, we’re restoring the first retro gaming console from the 16-bit generation, originally released in 1988! While we don’t have the exact original model, we do have a replica of the Japanese version, likely from around 1994. I picked up this console at a local street sale in rough condition-it was sold for parts, as it wasn’t functioning. What immediately caught my eye was the console’s oute...
1980 ⚙️ RESTORATION Lafayette F-990 (TDS-1) ✅ RETRO headphones 🎧 that THROWN AWAY!
Просмотров 11 тыс.3 месяца назад
I found these headphones from the 1980s lying in the mud among other trash on the street. I couldn’t just walk by, so I picked them up. Today, I’m starting the restoration process. This won’t be a classic restoration, as the original earpads and headband will be replaced. I’m restoring them for my own use, and I’ll probably swap out the drivers later, as the originals don’t have the bass respon...
DIY 🖐 Tool for any WORKSHOP ❗️ From 1987 PHOTO ENLAGER ✅Better than NEW!
Просмотров 2,6 тыс.3 месяца назад
I needed a digital analog microscope for work, with the main criteria being a maximum working distance and an analog camera to avoid streaking during movement and minimize input lag. Microscopes with these specifications are usually very expensive, so I decided to build one myself. I used a PHOTO ENLAGER from 1987 as the foundation, but you can use any other model-it's not a problem. The whole ...
1996 ⚙️ RESTORATION & Repair ✅ TETRIS Brick Game 🎮 Handheld 999 Games in 1
Просмотров 6 тыс.3 месяца назад
Today, I'm restoring a 999-in-1 Brick Game console (Tetris). I had one just like it when I was a kid. While walking through a local street market, I spotted a familiar box and realized it was an original, vintage model. I bought it for a symbolic price and decided to bring it back to life. Better to have it on my shelf than in the trash. I'm not a professional restorer, but I did my best with t...

I think so too, thanks for watching )
Канал молодой, мало видео посмотрел все на одном дыхании. Жду новых видео и удачи в начинаниях.
Thanks and good luck to you )
Very interesting restauration. You said you would redo the volume white markings. I would hve been very interested to know how you do that?
I was talking about chrome plating, is that what you meant? If you are talking about the white markings on the volume scale, it was in the video, then it is UV DTF printing.
Тетрис столько воспоминания о детстве. Хоть это электроника примитивна, но она греет душу.
I try to choose something for the video that makes me nostalgic and has good memories. And for you too )

another fantastic restoration there sir just amazing your above and beyound attitude to it i saw at the end you said about not being able to chrome plate yet .....have you thought about the alternative chrome spray. not that i am saying the black finish look bad ..its look very good and i always say if it your own item and you plan on keeping it the do it hoe you want it
Thank you, my friend! I conducted a full series of tests with chrome spray cans. They have two major drawbacks. The first type is chrome sprays with good adhesion, similar to paint. However, once they dry, they resemble ordinary unpolished metal and don’t stand out against the silver paint on the tape recorder’s body. The second type is chrome spray intended for restoring headlight reflectors and similar applications. It’s decent but has very poor adhesion. It must be used, under glass or clear plastic, as even after a week of drying, it can be ruined by just a touch of a finger. Trying to apply a protective lacquer to the second type of spray results in clouding and completely destroys the reflective effect. This leaves us with chemical options like chromium plating, shiny nickel plating, or silver metallization. However, all these methods are challenging to do properly at home without strong ventilation and specialized equipment. But I think I'll organize it later )
What a complex mechanism the tape deck is.
A real constructor for pumping up your brain
Did you notice it´s all metal parts? Good old times... :) 45 years later the MoS2 grease they used at assembly seems to be in good shape, also it´s a miracle all the belts seem to be in good condition.
Very Nice
عمل جيد و متقن😎

Yes, I have such headphones), there is a restoration of them on the channel, if you are interested)
What was the reason for removing all of the wax on the tuner?
It was easier for me to remove all the wax than to pick at it later while desoldering the components. Especially since it only needs a few points there to eliminate vibration (reinforced with hot glue). It is not necessary to pour wax on the half of the board, it is just easier, pour it all over and the job is done.

Надо было все металлические детали ЛПМ заанодировать и никелировать, они сошлифованные всё равно со временем опять заржавеют
My friend, I nickel-plated everything-that’s shown in the video
Excellency level of restoration. Thanks for this pure Satisfaction. Greetings from Thailand :>

The program that you are using to design these parts is 3D MAX?

Is it safe to polish a deck head? I've heard from many vintage audio repair technicians that doing so is more detrimental than beneficial. And that a new head is better, if you can get one for the model you restored that is.
Some heads are very difficult to polish and are better left unpolished, such as glass-ferrite heads. There are also heads where the gap between the magnets has a conical shape, and polishing can widen this gap, causing the high frequencies to disappear. The head I polished has a consistent gap depth of about 1 mm, so considering this, it will be perfectly fine.
