As someone who has really played a lot the game since chapter 2. its almost IMPOSSIBLE to reach the top 30 in a chapter 6 round, thats why i mostly play OG mode

this such a bad take, epic did a terrible job bringing og back and it is not about nostalgia Fortnite in it is first 3 season was a différent game it was a simple game with slow build système it was a battel royal you play the game passivly to win. so bringing"og" with turbo build and the new movment mécaniques to this map is stupied but even this was not what made the mode bad the first week i had so much fun because i played against real player this is what make Fortnite Fortnite not killing a loby of bots , when they added AI i stoped playing the game , it was because of epic stupid décision not the game not being fun or nostalgia

My only two complaints with og fortnite is the movement and bots. Bots being the main complaint.

If you want the og feel for Fortnite you can lower the graphics

I agree with what you said at the end of the video that we need to stop comparing the past in order to enjoy the present however the only problem that we have with Fortnite now is calling it “OG” if Fortnite wants the community to stop comparing this to old chapter 1 then call it “REMASTERED” not “OG” because there is a difference between this og and the real one or there will be comparison as long as this thing exists ❤

It’s 💯% Epic Games fault. They literally made some new abomination, something that’s not OG. Making excuses for a Billion Dollar company by blaming Epics shortcomings on “Nostalgia” is completely cringe.

6:12 only way to solve this issue is to hit the rewind button nerf building and remove sprinting and mantling don’t modernize a era from 2017 and call it OG if your gonna say Og or what ever term you want to use for 2017 fn make it as close as possible to the original game

I hate how overused the phrase “blinded by nostalgia” is. If you can acknowledge the bad parts of a game before you’re not blind to them. You’re just in the moment thinking about what made the game enjoyable before since the game now is absolute shit since its just become about selling things.

They should limit the resources builds so ppl can carefully choose whether to build with what they got

You're forgetting the biggest inconsistency. Bots. I'm pretty bad at the game, since I've only played it intermittently since Season X (by intermittently playing I mean playing for like one day every other season to see how the game had changed), and despite me being less skilled I would rather play in lobbies full of real players than bots. And I get that I should just go play ranked, but finding matches for ranked is tedious and if you play it enough, even if you're not that good, you'll eventually end up in lobbies where you just get nuked by everyone.

There’s no value in it. What’s the value in a win when it’s handed to you and you’re versing ai? What’s the value of kills when they’re not real, they’re not kills. I did nothing to get that so what value does it have? It had value back then because it was all real, doing well was an actual struggle and that’s why it had value. Besides value, killing ai in a pvp setting is just not fun, it feels like the game is calling you ass and simultaneously lying to u. If I wanted to play pve I’d play stw.

It's the small things. This mode feels rushed to meet demand; notably because there's a lot of things missing like the old icons for the ARs, the Tactical Shotgun, and models for the high rarity Rocket Launcher and Bolt-Action. They clearly put effort into it, but there's a lot still missing. I hope they fix this soon. Also, the bots have become a bit of a problem... it's insane how many there is.

I’m sorry but a lot of it isn’t nostalgia and you making this video is kind of writing it off saying “even if they bring it back it won’t matter” those things do matter and when I myself can download the older build of the game and host it to legitimately feel the difference it all starts to become more clear, so like another RUclips named tricky proposed we should get a 3rd gamemode with all of the retro features and I mean everything, epic is a billion dollar company they have NO business being lazy f*cks slacking and that’s just the hard reality.

Tbh my only issues with it are the visual inconsistencies like the purple and gold bolts and rockets. I came in knowing it was gonna be a sweatfest and am 100% okay with that since we've all grown up.

As long as the island feels the same the weapons feel the same and the live events feel the same then I'm fine. And with out the new movement it would feel very very very very very slow and we need it for zero build because fuck build mode.

Agreed! I’m not corrupted with nostalgia, but surprised about how many people / community is blinded by nostalgia so much. Me who is not knows that’s this is quite easy to break by knowing to grow up and mature more. I don’t even think this mode should exist.

I started in late Season X so I don't really have any nostalgia for chapter 1 and I love OG so much. I just prefer the gameplay of it tbh. It's a lot more simple and grounded and I love the weapons and the map despite the lack of POIs. I don't really care about the little inaccuracies because it doesn't take much away from the experience. I still really like chapter 6 tho, I just prefer OG.

not even just the nastalgia OG was a time when people didn't know how to play the game i do love the OG mode a lot but it wont feel the same with constantly evolving game changing mechanics

I have an idea, what if they added in a slider for the animations, the choices would be: default/classic, this way everyone could have the movement they like, and you would stop having complaints about it, they could also do the same for damage numbers, they are already in the game

OLD movement should have been in if you call it OG. It was a slower game back then. Everybody who wants the new movement has Chapter 6 or reload.

I feel like they have to have the new movement except the parkour, because in zero build you can not build to get onto of a building or build for cover.
